Definitely, most high-ranking members are always trying to be helpful and helping out is one important point of Bitcointalk.
Sometimes it might look a bit harsh, when mistakes are corrected but in general, the main point is always to have accurate information in the end and it's also helpful for Newbies to keep learning and established members are trying to do a good job here.
Being corrected is not bad it's part of a learning process.
And if you have question, please ask. There are no stupid questions if you are learning more about an issue in the end.
When you correct children for mistakes or misbehaviors they tend to have the feeling that you dislike them. My children will always want their mother to go out while they prefer me to stay at home with them. The reason is that my wife will always call them to order, but I usually give them freehands. But as they grow to maturity they will understand that these corrections were to help them grow. Some newbies assume that this forum is like a social media platform where they can come up with unverified information or badly written posts without receiving any form of advice or corrections. This is why I always tell newbies to learn more about Bitcoin and the forum before they start any thread. They should spend more time learning and less time dropping posts.
