I am in Bitcoin since 2015, when celebrities and influencers weren't as popular and influential as they are today, at least in my generation and in my country they weren't on a high level. Also, influencers didn't know Bitcoin and weren't promoting any crypto projects or currencies.
Celebrities and influencers don't promote Bitcoin, Monero or any other worthy cryptocurrency, they always get hired by ponzi project owners, then pay influencers to promote the project while influencers have no idea what they are promoting. In other words, influencers don't promote Bitcoin and whatever they promote, is a total scam in 99 out of 100 cases. Btw if someone like Elon Musk starts investing in Bitcoin, you should keep an eye on that fact because that usually means increased demand on Bitcoin and bull market.

Of course not. Making Bitcoin investments is something I came to understand properly and like when I joined the forum as well as spent more time here. During my newbies days I had a vague understanding of how Bitcoin investments work mainly because of the wrong and funny explanations made by people like social media influencers out there. No, I don't do anything in my life motivated by celebrities. If they advertise a service or product, for me it's indifferent. What I pay attention to is the product's usefulness itself and how it can impact my life positively when adoptint that. If there is a celebrity promoting it, it doesn't matter at all. On the other hand, if the celebrity in question is someone I dislike or have bad backgrounds, I confess I will tend to dislike the product they are promoting as well... In conclusion, talking by myself, there aren't positive points in hiring celebrities to advertise, because there aren't positive impacts implied on their presence on the ad, but there are negative ones when they are negatively perceived.

Other people may be heavily susceptible to celebrities, though. And that is why such worthless things as celebrities exist in first place... People are constantly seeking someone to idolize, unfortunatelly.

actually you are making sense because some of the influencers right now do the same people to invest in cryptocurrency especially some altcoins that does not have a potential so what I'm trying to let us know is that if you want to invest in cryptocurrency don't wait for someone's recommendation make sure that you make your own research to know the advantages and the disadvantages impact of it before you invest because probably many people redirect beginners who in you into cryptocurrency to invest in some certain cryptocurrency investment platforms using a celebrities name and after the investment the investors who invest would not reap what they have invested so probably that is a pure scam so we don't need to indulge into some certain recommendations of people.

I don't know if it's someone else but for myself being in bitcoin it happened because of the decision of several things that happened that changed myself who originally was on the fiat side and hated bitcoin instead turned around by being in bitcoin even though I never once hated fiat and remained in fiat too until now it's just that I'm more inclined to bitcoin for now.

Influencers do influence some people it seems because there are indeed a lot of people who are here because of influencers but in my opinion it just makes the situation more complicated because we are not based on ourselves and instead just expect a situation that is only based on influencers in the end. I think trusting influencers too much is not good so don't rely on influencers especially in the crypto space.

An advisor may be very experienced but still the investor should take a decision after carefully observing his own reviews. I have taken the advice of an investment expert but that advice was in line with my analysis which is why I took that decision. Those who want to invest must prepare themselves. When most of us were new, I think that many of us might have done the same mistake of being gullible and believers of these celebrities with anything that they endorse. Why? not all those people who had been suggesting something will really be that telling everything or really simply that knowledgeable. Then they are huge idiots. Following 'what others say/do' is a very stupid way to live. Picking up interest in something because of what others are doing is fine but just blindly following without DYOR is pure laziness and is a recipe for disaster.

Invest in good projects and they inreturn they bring profits at our ends. I've never doubted my skills to comprehend more complex tasks and handling them to my very taste. Find out everything about it and how it works and what its potential is in the future. Because when you invest in Bitcoin because you believe other people's words, then when you are in a loss position you will blame other people for the loss and say that Bitcoin is a scam - and many cases like this happen. So first find out everything about Bitcoin, and then you can invest in it.

Who would have thought that some Celebs will be talking about Bitcoin later? I did it when everything was cold and uncertain, because the utility of Bitcoin caught my attention, I never even knew that Bitcoin can be so profitable if held, my first plan was to use Bitcoin like a bank because it is decentralized.

What a goofy way to start into something in my opinion but if it kept you here and you're not just a passing stranger that are just trying to keep up with that celebrity then good for you because that would mean that you've found something that's not really easily found for others, the passion for something. Of course, following what your favorite celebrity does isn't a good advice but you got to remember, they don't know you and you don't matter to them, you're better of not doing that if you know what's good for you. We can take investors of Cristiano Ronaldo's NFT collection as an example of how bad it can be if you are following your celebrity and making investments in things you don't even understand. Some investors even filed a lawsuit against him for the money they had lost. I wouldn't blame the celebrities in such cases though, it's the responsibility of the investor to make sure that their money is going to the right place and that they aren't investing in something that might just be shiny on the outside.

So, I don't think that it is wise to make investments in anything just because someone you like said you should do it or you do it because the celebrity or influencer you follow has done it, that's bad practice, and this usually ends up making you lose money because you don't know anything about it at all.

Influencers and celebrities are somewhat called manipulating factors that encourage people to invest in Bitcoin due to amazing and attractive promotions. But this is not how I got into the crypto space, it was just a friend of mind introducing the forum first and then starting to invest after gaining some ideas and familiarizing the trend. That was somewhat difficult before since not know whom to trust and what is a good and reputable exchange platform to use. It is more on the diggings but now, with the help of these social media influencers and user reviews, it is easy for them. Unfortunately, this also makes people easily get scammed due to following the wrong person because not all influencers are helping people some of them promote scam projects.
