I agree with you on that aspect of taking precautions because chasing losses is one of the risky mode of gambling and the outcome is always not fovarable because it can lead to more loses and even lead to addiction if one do that on a daily basis,  but just as a siad, when luck is on your side, you can win and become at profits.

Someone who's successfully chased his losses and take them back but never stop will have to experience and go through the same unfortunate situation.
