Recovering losses is the plan of every losing gambler, but without realizing it they have increased their loss ratio if they continue to pursue it.

Quitting after losing for a time is recommended, but many gamblers don't do it. I personally have also been greedy in gambling, I made deposits up to 3 times in a row after I used up the previous 2 deposits because I lost on the same day. The mindset of recovering losses is certainly wrong in gambling, of course because of this we have increased losses without realizing it.

Yes that's true, but more precisely in my opinion what makes someone chase their losses is because they are unable to accept the facts about the situation and the circumstances of their defeat, or they are unable to accept the fact that they are unlucky so when a gambler does not have a good acceptance of unlucky situations then obviously it is likely that emotions will dominate which is what triggers many impulsive decisions that are too risky.

I would not call it "greed" though. There is a difference between losing money because of chasing losses and Lossing it because greed. actually, the feeling which comes with loses is "grief".
Greed is when you are winning money like some handful of bucks and you decide not to log out the casino and call it a day, instead you go further into gambling, seeking for even more money.
on the other hand, when the money is being lost, there is a different feeling, one cannot allow themselves to mentally feel at lost, so thete is where the grief-fueled chasing begins.

On this case the word professional is being used with the meaning of someone that can profit from an activity, so as an example, if someone was a carpenter and they were terrible at it but they were still earning money with it, it is fair to call them a professional carpenter, even if they did not had the skills and abilities that many other carpenters take for granted.

I don't yet understand what professional gamblers are like, but I think that professional gamblers should be able to make money or be able to win consistently, but I doubt that. Even though they are professionals, I think it is impossible for them to make money or win consistently, because even though there is gambling that requires skill, it only increases the chance of winning but does not guarantee and it is not certain that you can win. Apart from that, considering that gambling is a business, there is no definite way to make money, because the host has of course arranged everything to be able to make a profit from the many gamblers.

It's true what you say, in what context can they be called professional gamblers? If you are good at gambling, such as being able to control yourself, in my opinion you are not professional but wise in gambling. Maybe if they can produce definite wins or profits consistently then they can be called professional gamblers. and also I don't believe there will be gamblers like that but what is clear is that there are wise gamblers but there are fewer of them than brutal gamblers.

From desperate with his losses, he wants to recovers his losses and will continue playing gambling without stops. It will gives more losses if he playing gambling because of his anger.
He will lose more than he can imagine and that means, he can lose bigger than before. He must take a break after his lose so he will not attract to continuing playing gambling and reduce his tension because of his lose.
That can prevents more losses from gambling while he can calm down his emotion. He will not trying to spends more money in gambling because he knows that can attract more losses so by stops playing gambling for a while can avoids bigger lose.
