Determining the target price will reach on a certain year is pointless to discuss since there’s no clear basis on how you can come up with this opinion. Yes, the price of Bitcoin can possibly reach 100k since we are already reach 70+K  but there’s no telling when it will happened.

100K might reach this year then dump next year or it can happened few years from now. Why not just keep buying without the need to determine on when it will reach that level because Bitcoin price is proven increasing consistently. We just need to be patient. Determining the exact year or date will just make you impatient if the price didn’t follow what you predicted.

Yea for sure, bitcoin will hit $100k in this bull run, but no one knows if that price will be possible for us to see this year, because it is difficult to predict or know when exactly the price of bitcoin will hit 100k. What I know is the in the previous circles, after the halving bitcoin price hits a new ATH the next year, but this circle might be different due to the fact that bitcoin price reached a new ATH before the halving. As a long-term hodler, be patient with your bitcoin portfolio and wait till the price hits 100k, because I have the confidence that we will see a price higher than 100k as the new ATH to be recorded.

Doesn't matter when it will happen, but the fact is, it likely will. I'm pretty sure the one's doing well here on Bitcointalk are mostly long-term holders anyway, so they couldn't care less if it happens in 2025 or 2026 or 2027. If it doesn't happen next year, then whatever, continue stacking sats anyway.

I don't think BTC could really hit $100k in 2024, but maybe in the first quarter of 2025. Its just a hard guess, and I have seen many people having the same mindset, so if most of the people (with more BTC) have mindset that, it can make $100k in 2025 then it will make in 2025. Well, for me, time is not a big problem, my only worry is if BTC reach $100k or not. When is not an option here.

As many people are also coming with the mindset that BTC will only make a new ATH of $80k or somewhere near it. Although I don't really think of it as a good prediction in terms of profits, but most likely the situation is telling us the same. IMO $80k is must, what do you guys think?

It’s going to happen, surely. People just need to be patient and don’t get swayed by dips and other news that might seem negative. I don’t think any of those could hinder bitcoin from reaching another ath.

Of what relevance would the answer be to your decision to invest in bitcoins, if the answer you get is a negative one that bitcoin will not get to 100k, will you decide not to invest in it based on our answer? Bitcoin is expected to perform very well, maybe not up to 100k, maybe 100k, or maybe more than 100k. Just remain positive, patient and discipline, Ensure to invest if you have not invested, and keep holding if you have already invested because profit is expected.

In 2024, I think that it will happen. So if there is no extremely bad news that the USA or Europe should ban something due to MiCa or other stupid decisions, then the last 30,000$ to the 100,000$ will also come. In the last 7 days, Bitcoin has made a +9%, so we dont need many more of these weeks and then we will see this price, which can happen very quickly. A new ATH is only 8% away and then Bitcoin will appear bigger in the media again. Many companies have invested in Bitcoin through the ETFs and I believe more will follow. So I see 2024 as a successful year for Bitcoin and 2025 could see a drop towards the end of the year, which would be comparable to the cycles in recent years.

Reading through all the comments I did not notice anyone mentioning to you to move this thread to bitcoin speculations board, and since this topic border's around bitcoin future market price speculations I think that the appropriate board for this discussions.
That been said back to the topic, since this year 2024 bitcoin have been on a persistent bull movement and at that s point we can be confident to say that bitcoin will possibility to reach a 100,000 price even before this year rounds out, most speculators have thought that we have seen the last highest price for bitcoin and the bull run already happened, but the fact that we arrived at a all time high before the last bitcoin halving should point to the fact that bitcoin will make a new Mark again in the market pretty soon, let Watch for that and see if most of recent investors will be counting they gains soon.

Only the market trend will decide whether Bitcoin will hit $100k by the end of 2024 or 2025 because last time when Bitcoin breaches the previous all time high people were speculating that $100k is not far away then it dropped without making much progress post breaching previous ATH and now again it's inching closer to breach previous ATH and if things goes well coupled with much awaited bull run then it's pretty much possible but now one can say accurate when as it would be a mere speculation as it will surely hit hence doesn't matter when.

Bitcoin $100K in 2024/25 is what I often say I believe bitcoin can surpass it and will continue to hold until that price arrives because it is still quite realistic compared to $500K.

My simple thinking; Bitcoin is already halving and the price will correct then stagnate then start recovering and lead to a bullrun next year then I guess this is a predictive belief where everyone will have the same opinion bitcoin to $100K.

What is now in mind is to continue to accumulate bitcoin because there is still an opportunity to grow the portfolio even though bitcoin will soon crawl to $70K.

You mean 2025 or 2024?, cus the title of your thread says 2025, while you are saying 2024 in the body of the thread, so, I guess you should clarify this.

And by the way, if you are asking if the price of bitcoin will reach a $100,000 by the year 2025, which is next year, then I undoubtedly will say yes to this, for personally, I believe the price of bitcoin will reach $100,000, it's just a few tens of thousands of dollars that is remaining for bitcoin to achieve this.

On the other hand, if what you meant to ask was if the price of bitcoin will reach $100k this year being 2024, then I will say no, I don't think a bull run will happen this year that will take the price of bitcoin to $100k

A lot of speculation has been in that direction, and even above that $100,000, let's not forget that the halving just happened a few weeks ago, and we are expecting a great pump and a new ATH from next year, and that pump can raise to $100,000. There is no doubt about that. 
 
The only thing that remains uncertain and will always be uncertain is the exact time that it will hit $100,000 next year. Bitcoin price movement is just something unpredictable.
 
You might think that it's overperforming this week, but before you know it, the price will just take an immediate uturn and start dropping down again. So until we see it on that $100,000, we will still be speculating and hope it gets there some day.

It is important to state that you cannot accurately predict the Bitcoin market. However, if more people or investors buy more of Bitcoin which will make demand exceed supply. The reduction of interest rates by the US Federal Reserve could also drive up the price of Bitcoin. Favorably government policies and approval of ETF in other major economies.

Also, considering the volatility of the crypto market, what risks should we be aware of that might prevent Bitcoin from achieving these high expectations?

Regardless of some factors that might affect Bitcoin, it will still achieve it's post halving expectations. The global economic and political space is unpredictable so it might be difficult to identify any specific impediment to Bitcoin achieving it's high expectations. You just have to have your plan because everyone has theirs.

The right place for this post is the Speculation board since it has to do with the price of Bitcoin. All the same, even though no one can say for sure if Bitcoin will reach $100k and when, the truth is that we will have a bull run following the halving that happened this year and from the past records, after the halving comes a bull run. This year however have a kind of uniqueness which is that the bull run started long before the halving due to the ETF approvals. I don't know if this has changed the dynamics but I still think we will still see another bull run which will continue up to 2025 which is expected to be the peak.

The market is already showing some good signs that the momentum for the bull run is picking up. Bitcoin have recovered from below $60k which it dipped few weeks ago and already approaching $70k. Just few move pushes and a new ATH will be made and before we know it, we are already at $100k. It is therefore, highly possible that Bitcoin will reach that price before the end of 2025.

We have no guarantee about the price that it will hit 100k$ but we are supposing that as it has already achieved 73k$ so there will be no difficulty to hit 100k$ once market starts to boost in value.

Bitcoin is not in the dumping position now because it is 67k$ in price today which refers to the fact that bull season will become a cause for the creation of the new ATH. At the end of this year or maybe next year Bitcoin will hit 100k$ after which the belief of investors will become stronger.

Day by day the demand of bitcoin is increasing and the popularity and growth of bitcoin is going and people are paying more attention to bitcoin. And we know lots of people invest and trade in bitcoin just to protect their privacy and also gain a lot of money by investing in bitcoin. We can say for sure that the market in Bitcoin will touch $100k, and we can assume that it is going to happen very soon as currently the price of Bitcoin is at $71k dollars. We have seen the Bitcoin market peak ATH in 2024 touching $73k and although it went down a bit for a while but currently there is a lot of upside. And we have seen many investors predict that the Bitcoin market may not touch 150 in 2025 so we will invest and hold Bitcoin.

OP Bitcoin price is very difficult to predict. According to the previous bull run, the halving took place in 2020 and recorded the highest price in 2021. However, before the halving in 2024, it has already broken the previous highest price record. It is not certain when the upcoming bull run will start. But we can expect the bull run to start later this year or in 2025. But currently at $71k plus we are still $29k away from $100k. We can expect to see Bitcoin 100k+ in 2025. I don't think Bitcoin will be 100k in 2024.
