A few months before joining the forum. It still shakes me how a relationship with a close friend of mine went bad. We are 10-12 friends and have many fun memories of hanging out and visiting different places outside of studies. One of my friend name Jason, None of the friends knew what Jason was doing. But I knew he was with Bitcoin Transactions and holder. I tried and learnt a lot from him about Bitcoin. Jason kept his work a secret because there are restrictions on Bitcoin transactions in our country.

At that time, one day my another friend curlos was in a good mood and told me that he got a very big customer job. I told him have you any Bitcoin wallet? I told him about Bitcoin Wallet because I knew many buyers now feel comfortable paying in Bitcoin and curlos was a freelancer. He immediately became very angry with me and abused me. Because he had absolutely no confidence in Bitcoin as a cryptocurrency. For this reason of Bitcoin word he broke our relationship and he didn't talk to me for a long day. After this incident, even if I met him in the campus, he avoided me and did not talk to me. After 1 months of this incident, curlos came to my house one night and hugged me with a crying voice and sincerely apologized to me. I could not contain my emotions, the moment of the return of one of my close friends after so long was very happy. My eyes were teary with joy. It is not possible to explain the scene of that moment in words.

However, curlos later regretted his disinterest in Bitcoin and misbehavior with me. Even his interest in Bitcoin increased and I helped him in creating a wallet. My friend is now very confident and I am very proud of him that he got the wrong idea about Bitcoin. I'm so glad that I helped him. Currently he is a bitcoin holder.

Wow, what a rollercoaster! It sounds like you went through a lot with your friend Carlos.

Good on you for trying to introduce him to Bitcoin, even though it caused a temporary rift.

I can't imagine how bad it must have felt when Carlos got angry and stopped talking to you.  But the fact that he came over a month later to apologize is a true sign of a good friend.  The hug and tears sound like a really touching moment of reconciliation.

It's also great that Carlos came around on Bitcoin!  It's always rewarding to see someone overcome their initial skepticism and embrace a new opportunity.  You must be really proud to have helped him get started.

This story is a reminder of the importance of communication and forgiveness in friendships.  Even close friends can have disagreements, but strong bonds can overcome them.  Here's to a continued friendship filled with good times and maybe even some future Bitcoin discussions!

Good story just like one you would read from a children's story book.

Bitcoin makes payment for jobs like freelancing jobs very easy and convenient. It is even better when using lightning. Your friend Carlos had not reason to be upset with you unless you tried to shove it down his throat. I expected that the story would end with you saying that Carlos began to accept bitcoin as payment for his freelancing jobs rather you said he is now a bitcoin holder.

In anyways, being a bitcoin holder goes above receiving payment in bitcoin or opening a wallet and holding bitcoin. Carlos needs to understand the fundamentals of bitcoin, wallet security, the market and other bitcoin stuff. The more knowledgeable you are, the more confident you become.

I don't know how good the friendship is between the two. Based on the story, being into friendship is a kind of sharing. One has taken it in a positive way, whereas the other has taken the incident in a negative way. Finally, the reality was understood, and both got united. I have briefed my friends about bitcoin and haven't experienced something similar. During the beginning days, I shared about bitcoin with my friends and a nearby young generation. By this time, everyone was eager to know, but they weren't confident enough to invest. People who had an opportunity but missed it now used to praise me for the support during the beginning.

I don't know if we can call this a good friendship if one friend is getting angry and abusing the other friend and not talking to them for a month or so only for mentioning or suggesting Bitcoin. If he had doubts or anything, he could ask gently or say he was not interested, there was no need for all this drama to create a scene and keep it going for months.  Smiley

Anyway, it's your friendship and the people you like, what I'm mainly confused about is why he reacted this way. I understand that you mentioned Bitcoin has a lot of restrictions in your country so people need to be careful when using it, but this has nothing to do with why he got angry and abusive and then regretted what he did later on.

It could also be your mistake because if you had explained everything properly from top to bottom, the risks involved, how he can manage restrictions, and how he can operate staying within the country without getting in trouble, and maybe he could understand.

The story is like reading a fairy tale, there are many tragedies full of emotions that occur in it, but all of this can be suppressed due to patience and not responding to unpleasant treatment from your friends. Your friend (Jason) is too sensitive and doesn't really trust you with his knowledge of Bitcoin, even though Bitcoin transactions in your country are still considered illegal or something like that, he should be more open to you because of the first relationship that has existed so far.

Curlos gets emotional too quickly, he should have properly digested what you told him before drawing conclusions. As a friend, you should be more open and trusting of other friends, friendships are like a family who are always together when they are in a happy mood and support each other when they are in trouble. Your patience has succeeded in making Curlos melt and start to believe in the potential that can be generated from Bitcoin. The stubborn attitude of people like Curlos must be faced with patience to make him realize and rethink what you said to him.

The story you mentioned gave a different feel. One of the strongest bonds in the world is friendship that your friend doesn't understand. You asked your friend a very simple question but he took it very badly, he got very angry at your very simple words and he wanted to break up with you. After that he realizes his mistake and befriends you again.
Sometimes there are secret conversations between friends, so I don't find any reason to behave unpleasantly. I also have friends who are involved in crypto currency for a long time, I also discuss bitcoin or bitcoin wallet with them, they never got angry or broke up like your friend.

You guide your friend about Bitcoin so that he can patiently invest in Bitcoin as you mention that your friend is now a Bitcoin holder. But be careful of him again, he might want to break up with you or abuse you again (fun  Grin).

I'm glad that your friend realized the importance of Bitcoin, and came back to apologies to you, it's a good story that ended well, just like in the movies, although you could have edited some parts of the information. Crypto is not banned in my country, but I'm very careful about how I talk to people about it, even my friends, because of the unpleasant experiences that I've had telling people about it in the past when I first adopted it. Now I have to perceive first that a person genuinely want to invest in cryptocurrency before I introduce Bitcoin to the person, to avoid enemity.

So, someone that didn't like something, choose to hate the person instead of hate the thing? what a joke.

Your friend might have a mental health problem, it's not make sense for someone to hate other people due to suggesting something. You didn't even talk bad thing about fiat and banks. I see your friend is a problematic person, better to stay away even though you and him already in good relationship because sooner or later he will back become like that when you suggest something new which he don't like.

I can not believe I have been reading "curlos" as curious for a while. I have to read over again to finally get it.
I don't know if such a story is real, curlos is overreacting to such a thing but it's good that he keeps the friendship in the end. Good for curlos. I hope you Jason and curlos can keep the secret to yourself since it's illegal in your country.

That's such a relief, I thought it would end up you guys in jail.

Jason kept his work a secret because there are restrictions on Bitcoin transactions in our country.

That's a nice story, I'm glad it had a happy end, but tell us more about this point, what do you mean by the restrictions on Bitcoin transactions, those transactions happen on internet, and not in your country, so that point isn't clear at all for me. If bitcoin is illegal in your country, then you should be careful with it, because that can send you and your friends to jail, so, play it smart and don't make noise about it.

By the way, what would happen if some of those friends goes to the police and tell them that you are holding bitcoin?

I mean, I don't know how to ask in a kind way, but is your friend... Normal? If the events are actually how you told us, your friend looks like kind of crazy, his reaction was totally illogic, why would you get mad at someone who is saying something, especially if it's a friend of yours? I'm glad that at the end you clarified but I also hope for you that he gave you some kind of explanation besides apologizing because what happened is very weird.

this story seems like it's made up because it's still quite strange to me. but whether it's fake or not, i don't care because the point is that you and your friend finally hug again after the dispute, yeah happy ending and everything becomes normal again. hopefully your friend can understand better about bitcoin.

Your friend is one hell of a weird one, it's not correct to lash out on someone that's just talking to them about something, I assume that that's all that you've just said which means I'm not sure that your friend has done anything right, I'm happy that you've got a happy ending but the problem is that your friendship with that person, it's never going to be the same, you may not remember it immediately but then you'd feel it, it's a really weird world huh?

I think you did absolutely well by helping him regardless to his rude behavior towards you in the past, yet you still forgive him, but I'm glad he realized his mistakes and seek for forgiveness, I think that's so thoughtful of him. However I think we don't have to blame him for his bad attitude towards you back then I  guess he must have been going through something, or I think is afraid that you might tell people that he's holding bitcoin unlike as you said that  bitcoin is been restricted in your country so I think he don't want anyone to know about it. Well the most important thing is that you both are in a good time now.

Even though it is banned in my country, people like me who are doing online transactions or writing in this forum do not have any problem in this regard. We are not creating any disturbance of law and order. But if the police come to know then maybe they can make trouble but those like us who have bitcoin holders are aware enough. Even many senior government lawyers and public representatives are very positive and relax about Bitcoin that's why we can trade. But officially banned.

It's really frustrating to get ignored for just wanting to be real. mind you, this happens to some cases and, the outcome isn't always the same. I try as much as possible to scrutinize my cycle, avoiding any form of misunderstanding monetary-wise

I've seen good friends turning their backs on themselves for indulging in a business that later went unproductive; the later requested a refund but was told he's gonna get half since it wasn't the former's fault.
Thirdly, I don't wanna be a bum for tryna make you follow my path; if he sees that you could make a few bucks outta your journey and he deliberately retracts the idea, that's his cup of tea

Edit:
this story seems like it's made up because it's still quite strange to me.
Is that a problem right now? If that was some fictional story, it's fine... Did you learn anything from it?

Really,  this is so inspiring,  but how are you comfortable with having so much friends around?

Bitcoin need privacy and as someone that comes from a country where bitcoin is ban as you said, that should be the more reason why you should keep a secret of your Bitcoin involvement from others a d only relates with a few peop6who share same likeness with you like those that are comfortable with bitcoin and understood the basics of bitcoin.
