There are a few altcoins I want to invest in that are not on the main exchanges yet but are on Bitget and just wondering if Bitget is a good, trustworthy exchange for those of us in the UK?

I'm a Nigerian but I don't really trust Bitget, aside from this red flag in their p2p Scam ads on Bitget, I don't think you should put significant amount of funds there, I can see you understand the term not your keys not your coins, my reason for being skeptical is that they're not entirely transparent and also I don't like their service response when you have any serious issues you are directed to their telegram group where staff will help you out on it but one thing I experienced is that in the group immediately you sent a message about the issue, scammers will start to DM you as a part of the official and if you're not cautious you might fall for one there since their accounts might just look almost similar to an actual officials there.

Also another thing to note is that messaging them about any problem in the telegram group doesn't guarantee quick response and lastly avoid their wallet which is totally disappointing to me especially in fee estimations, it's usually high in comparison to others and also being a closed source while they actually did called it open source

I have seen shilling campaigns regarding that exchange, which makes it a little shady to me. I just checked the restricted countries and surprisingly, The UK happens to be one of the Countries that is not restricted.
I can't trust that service 100%. The best thing to do would be to make coin purchases in bits and send them out to external noncustodial wallets.

Bitgate's main goal is to advocate for long-term development through users, we believe cryptocurrency will play a special role in the future of finance. Although we are not sure about its future timing.

I'm not english but one of the bitget users too. Deposits and withdrawals are quite easy and the KYC process is also easy. As for the withdrawal fee, if you make a withdrawal using USDT, the fee is very cheap and affordable, clearly under $0.3.

other. There are also many superior features and you can explore them if you are active on the platform. Currently, there are many coins in various categories that are listed every day and sometimes some are discarded for one reason or another if they do not have price movements.

~snip~

It's true, I tagged several of their bots that shill for that company on this forum, but they are also present on ATT. Such a way of "advertising" speaks for itself, because why trust a company that obviously has no money to pay for "usual" advertising. I personally wouldn't have anything to do with them, but it's still a decision for everyone individually.

Anyway I am not from UK but am using bitget.
One reason why I like the bitget exchange is because the merchants are very fast on their p2p deals.. They are not like the ones from most exchanges like kucoin. However since it's an exchange and it's mostly restricted in some countries, I think it's best for anyone using it right now to be careful and observant. They should send out their coins to a more secure exchange or noncustodial wallet as you have said. However, every exchanges are not 100% secured because anything can happen at any time.

Yes. Quite a few incidents have occurred on well-known exchanges. However, it seems that currently their exchange is still active and does not show anything strange to its users.

Don't you find it strange when a company hires people to shill it on all possible forums/social networks? To me, this is a sign that they are doing very badly, because only the desperate resort to such tactics. In addition, such a way of "advertising" is completely counterproductive, at least for me personally.

One reason why I like the bitget exchange is because the merchants are very fast on their p2p deals.. They are not like the ones from most exchanges like kucoin.
I have never used kucoin when purchasing or selling coins for fiat, but I always thought the speed with which the merchants can process the trades is totally independent of the platform. It's all dependent on how competent the merchant is.

I used to have very fast p2p deals on exchanges like localcryptos back in the day because the merchant knew what he was doing. This had nothing to do with localcryptos' "speed" but the merchant himself. One time I entered a trade with a new merchant and the trade was open for 4 hours with no payment  Grin
