Lately, there has been a lot of buzz about meme coins, with many expecting them to yield remarkable returns similar to Bitcoin. I believe this enthusiasm comes from those who missed out on Bitcoin's profits over the years and are now seeking a token to recover their losses. However, we must remember that last bull market for meme coin surge was unprecedented and unpredictable; it may never happen like that again. Pumping a coin for an extended period is very expensive, and the significant accumulation of meme coins before the pump allowed developers to achieve massive returns, making it easier to drive the price up.

I mean the question is quite vague. I don't understand as well at what part will the meme coin will challenge Bitcoin in the future?

- Transaction speed? Obviously, there are meme coins that have a faster transaction speed than Bitcoin.
- Popularity? That will not happen because even though meme coins are the narrative right now and many people online are speaking about it, Bitcoin will remain as the most popular one.
- Market Cap? Just forget about it because Bitcoin will still and will always be at the top in terms of market cap.

That's why I don't know why we need to compare meme coins and Bitcoin. They can just both co-exist without us letting them compete with each other. There are things that meme coins are better at compared with Bitcoin and vice-versa.

Exactly we can only experience changes in their value, but talking about if memecoin can challenge bitcoin in the future i don't think if that will be possible. moreover the reason behind the increase of memecoin is when they're being hyped even most of the meme get dumped after Hyping must have taken place, most of the meme after they're being listed in the market within a short period of time they will also get dumped just like shitcoin. however all this coin that doesn't last for long is never to be compared with bitcoin, because bitcoin has been there for many years now and it has been in a good performance ever since then, most of the memecoin that was listed in that era when bitcoin was newly introduced in this Crypto world i think most of those memecoin died long time ago but bitcoin manage to survive and even became the head of all Cryptocurrency.

So, regarding profits if we invest in Crypto, the results always vary. If we happen to be lucky and accidentally buy the coins you intended at the beginning, I think there is a possibility of getting more profits, if they are listed on various markets. But, going against BTC and being able to outperform BTC price it seem like impossible.

It's true that some Altcoins might try to reach bitcoin technically but it's never possible that any coin of any kind can challenge bitcoin even the almighty Ethereum is still second to bitcoin even with it's stands ever since created, bitcoin is the root of all cryptocurrency so it's obvious that you can't bitcoin the root, there is a law in my place that says as it is outside so it is inside, relating it to bitcoin means that the more altcoins seems to be growing the more bitcoin grows beyond reach.

You can only hear such thing from newbies, because they will be investing in memecoin project hoping that they are investing in BTC  project, and it will make them to see BTC as a scam project not knowing that they invested in memecoin project that made them to experience loses.

 Even though, the memecoin project is pumping faster than BTC project, just take your time to study the memecoin project very well, if it will not going to scam people before you invest on it, because that is the system they use to draw other people to invest.

Developers would've focused on innovation if they wanted DOGE to be used seriously for mainstream payments.

At a technical level, nothing can replace BTC. Especially when it's the one cryptocurrency that started it all. Not many altcoins are technically better than Bitcoin, they are all upgrades of Bitcoin as you have written since Bitcoin is the root. It will always remain on the top and Ethereum has been in that position of second since 2015. Other altcoins did try to challenge it but were not able to take the position. The problem with altcoins is that not all of them are here for the long run and if we talk about meme coins then it is a phase that shall pass.
