They will play 2 legs of the match which they must maximize very well if they want to be one of the competitors in the Champions League this season. They will also feel the transition from the old format to the new format applied in the Champions League. Real Madrid has gathered a lot of experience that you don’t need to doubt them anymore, they’re the best in their league and also the best in the champions league being the defending champions. When they play, we always assume that they’ll win the match and no other team can stand them. Which ones are your favourites? 

Mine are Bodo/Glimt, Dinamo Zagreb, Midtjylland, Sparta Prague, Lille, Galatasaray and Salzburg.

In fact, I would really like to see Qarabag eliminating Dinamo Zagreb. I see them very impressive. You would remember their Europa League performance in the previous season.    They still look strong so an upset here might be possible maybe. I really hope that Galatasaray make it to league phase without problems. Young Boys look really weak recently.

It is pretty much the same for me - except Dinamo Zagreb.    I expect a surprise to happen. Qarabag look very determined. Dinamo Zagreb are of course a team with much bigger CL experience. But there is never a guaranteed result in football or any sports.

I look forward to my team's game 4 days later. We are playing away against Young Boys. I hope we will win in the 1st leg already. But considering the way Turkish teams start their CL journey, maybe we might see a draw first. But I expect no other result than eliminating them. By the way our big win at Old Trafford last season is still in my mind.

You can actually predict the possibility of a team that is likely going to win a competition based on the squad in the team, the previous performance of the team or the current form and performance of the team I believe that is the one what bettors can easily pick w particular team to likely win a game even before the start of the competition or match.

You have just supported Real Madrid now to be the favorite because you have noticed the form of the team and the players in the team right now that is the same way you can actually pick them to win a competition before the start of the competition. Luck also plays a vital role in football a team may be doing well but fine it difficult to win matches but if they are lucky they can win all their matches hence they are having a good performance.

It is no surprise to me that Arsenal is higher than the three teams you mentioned. Arsenal has continued to improve in recent years. Bayern Munich and Barcelona are also in a transition period with new coaches, so it is natural that their rankings have dropped. PSG itself, we know they do not have the mentality in the Champions League, even though they once had a super luxurious squad but also failed in the Champions League and this season they lost Mbappe who has joined Real Madrid, of course their chances in the Champions League are increasingly not taken into account.

Bookmakers sometimes can be very surprising with their predictions but since they most times make their decisions based on statistics, we can't just fault them. I know Manchester City possess one of the best star-studded squads in the Europe but how on earth are they higher than Real Madrid in the favorites rankings? I refuse to accept that Manchester City stands a better chance of winning the UEFA Champions League ahead of Real Madrid. Also, I think Liverpool and Bayern Munich should be above Arsenal but let's see how the new season unfolds and see how right the bookmakers are

It's clear that Real Madrid should be the most likely to defend their trophy. But, as you said, it's weird they got second, not first. Prob Pep's factor is the reason why we're still seeing City at the first place. Also, the funny thing is that Arsenal is more favored. They have smaller odds than Munich, which beat them last season. But the only acceptable reason is probably due to the new coach of Bayern Munich. Still, this looks so strange.

All of that can still change when the season starts because for me it is also not right to put Real Madrid in second place after what Real Madrid achieved last season and also with the current Real Madrid squad. If it is because Pep is still coaching Manchester City, I think it is also not wrong if we consider Ancelotti as a good coach for Real Madrid so that every Real Madrid player is able to play the way he gives. We can see an example when Real Madrid beat Atalanta where in the first half Real Madrid did not play well enough, but in the second half everything changed and Madrid became a team that was able to win.

Real Madrid is the strongest team on this planet, period. Anyone who argues differently is either ignorant or not listening. There is almost nothing different but here Real Madrid is much closer to Manchester City and makes both of them always on the same track to be able to win the Champions League. If we still remember Manchester City is always above Real Madrid with a large odds difference and this time Mbappe's arrival has changed the bookie's perspective where Real Madrid is much more promising after having a striker.

We know Real Madrid has a strong squad currently, and it’s going to be difficult for any club to defeat them currently, but just the way you said it, any fuckup can happen, an error can happen, which might make them lose the chances of winning the champions league next season. But if I am to predict who will be the  winner of the champions league for next season, then it should be between Manchester City and Real Madrid, because both of them has equal chances of winning it.

LOSC's fixture is that which appeals to my attention the most, I like the fact that they are almost of equal strength with their opponent so that is enough to build some level of confidence in their performance and probably a good optimism too could be drawn from there. Young boys is another that has got my fancy because they appear very promising and are very likely to get things done in such a way that they will have a chance at winning this game nevertheless I'm just in optimistic anticipation for the both teams that got my interest and hoping to see only the best from them.

Truly Real Madrid is the king of Europe all thanks to them management, the team president for always bringing in good coaches and young stars who are always potential world best players in view, they play as a team and they have the winning mentality always in every game they play so I guess they should crown them the King 👑 of European competitions because they definitely won't stop winning trophies with the world class players they have in the team right now.

The Atalanta team came so prepared for the game knowing they they are up against the best team in the world but not stepping up low as a result of the first half result of 0:0 shows how improved the Atalanta team has become after their performance in the Europa League finals last season.

That is literally how they build their squad, all the way from plane they pick for travels to equipment manager to team manager Ancelotti to players. They do like winning la liga and they do that quite frequently as we know it, but their entire existence is UCL and they make sure that every player knows this as well, they put the pressure on the players when it's an UCL game and that's why it matters a lot.

Sure there are other teams that try to win it too, like how City wanted one, and how PSG wants one, these are all important and rich clubs too but they do not have that club culture that Real Madrid has towards UCL, they literally make it known that only thing they care about UCL. So much so that, Real could finish third place in la liga but win UCL and they would be happy with that. This is why Florentino Perez wanted to have a "super league" type of league, because he wanted to win the best teams in the world and not just the Spanish teams.

Luck is import to when you are playing football and what matters the most is experience because even if the club you are playing against you is better than you then with your experience you will be able to defeat them and that is one of the privileges that Real Madrid usually enjoys they have young players with experience and that is also what was use to defeat Dortmund during the champions league final last season. And now that Real Madrid have all it takes to defeat a lot of clubs then it's a problem for other clubs because Madrid won't spare anyone, they have won the champions league title more than any other club so what do you expect to comot from those clubs, it is to early to know which club will win but we can not decide for now since all the clubs are in preparation, luck might decide to fall on other clubs, because with the way other clubs are preparing we won't expect the surprises we are going to see. Other clubs like arsenal and Manchester City are their and this season is going to be a good season for arsenal because from our opening game today it was excellent.

The Champions League is still very far away, but currently there are many predictions that favor a team as champions next season, but the funny thing is that the existing predictions often make us shake our heads at this time, I think the predictions put forward by many parties are not valid without  consideration and also an accurate reference for now, to be honest, it seems like they haven't learned from what happened last season when many parties favored Manchester City to win, but instead they had to stop their journey early in the Champions League.

What I am surprised at is why Manchester City is the number one according to the bookmakers because to me, I see Real Madrid having a better advantage of winning UCL that Manchester city and I do3need anyone to tell me that.

Manchester City is of course always a favorite, but I have to say that it is all about Real Madrid I guess. The team is brutal now that they also have Mbappe. The game against Atalanta wasn't a top performance, but I think it is quite likely that they will only get better with every single game into the season. Rodrygo, Mbappe and Vinicius Junior as the frontline is insane and they still have Bellingham backing that trio from the midfield. So many players who pose a threat to their opponents. The only real loss they have to cope with is Kroos, but other than that their team is once again brutal.

Curious to see how Haaland will be doing this Champions League season. He was having quite a lot of trouble in the top games as the other teams knew pretty well how to neutralize him. It seemed as if he was far too predictable and couldn't deliver enough surprise moments. He was quite dead in the water often times, which I think should be addressed somehow.

Yes, it's also strange that Arsenal's odds are bigger than Bayern Munich's, even though if we remember last season Arsenal was defeated by Bayern Munich in the quarter-finals and Bayern Munich is also one of the favorite clubs in the Champions League just like Manchester City and Real Madrid, the odds should not be much different between these three clubs, we don't know Bayern Munich's performance this season with their new coach, maybe this is what makes the odds so high.

I agree with you, that there is a luck in the competition but if any team fail to display quality performance from the beginning of the competition to position in a good position, I think it will be difficult for such team to experience the luck from the competition, because it go along with the team experience. For example, Real Midred that won last champion league title, I can still remember that many people thought that Manchester city or other teams will be the one to win the title but based on Real Midred preparation for the competition and their performance from the competition made them to embrace the luck from the tournament last season. That is what is still going to happen in this season, because the smaller teams are not ready to purchase some new players to boost their performance which it will be difficult for them to experience the luck in this season again.
