Some games that ended 0-0 are more interesting than yesterday's 9-2, but unfortunately not today's game between City and Inter. The game was about as expected from an 8-game group stage: the teams did not try too hard to score, playing cautiously. The fact that City played by controlling the ball and Inter on the counter-attack was expected, and in fact City had 3 dangerous moments and Inter 2. A semi-friendly game.

The both teams weren’t bad if you ask me it was just the way the game was supposed to be, no matter how good Manchester City have been this years they still hold inter Milan very high and they do not play against same way they do to other low level clubs. This game was just a replica of what was played in the last meeting between the two clubs which was the final, Manchester city were all out on attack against a composed and well structured or defensive sided Inter Milan. Many of us will be disappointed with Manchester city but had they come out to play their usual football this inter Milan will have exploited the chances they usually leave behind, if you watch the way the chance which Mateo Darmian missed was created you will understand why city are usually careful against this kind of teams.

Judging from the Formation match used by Inter Milan alone that they played to defend more, Inzaghi realized that Man City's midfielders were very dangerous, therefore making a two-layer defense here so that Man City strikers did not have many passes from their midfielders, seen from the chance of a shot towards the Inter Milan goal alone, it is certain that it is difficult for Guardiola and Inzhagi succeed in blunting Manchester City even though in the end they also could not score a goal too, but it is better for Inter Milan than losing, and most importantly here the two goalkeepers from Inter Milan and Man City did their best, they blocked every ball that came to their goal.

Surely many people were disappointed in this match, especially the gamblers who bet on one of the teams in this match, and what made people even more suit to accept the results of this match was because this match was held on Man City's field, which should have allowed Man City to be much more free to attack to conquer their opponents, unfortunately they could not get more opportunities and instead were balanced with Inter Milan's defensive formation which made the results of this match without any goals from both of them, maybe for other teams Man City could conquer, it's just that this is a match of winning prestige between Serie A and the English Premier League.

I'm disappointed with this match because I myself bet for Manchester City, I never realized this game would make such a difference. However, the Inter team performed so well that it is incomparable, because this Italian club did not give any chance to the Manchester City team. The defenders performed so well defensively that the attacking department of the Manchester City team could not do any damage.
Although the attacks were easily saved by the goalkeeper, the Inter team's performance should only be credited to the defenders. Manchester City made a total of 22 attacks that were easily defended by the defenders, and the opposite side Inter made 13 attacks. Although I lost this bet, I thank the defenders and goalkeepers of the Inter team, they performed well enough for their side.

Yeah it can't be denied that when a team can't win at home then there should be disappointment it's just that Pep Guardiola doesn't want to say it and I'm sure he has his reasons, but yeah this doesn't really have an impact on Manchester City because it's not a deciding match and they can get points in the next match. This is the first match right? while 7 other matches are waiting ahead. Of the 7 matches, only one match was a bit difficult, against Juventus.

In another match Dortmund managed to win the match even though previously I thought Dortmund would have a bit of difficulty but I was wrong they could win easily even though they were playing away. The challenge for Dortmund is in the next matches as giant teams await them Celtic, Real Madrid, Wolfsburg and Barcelona this is a match that is considered difficult from the remaining 7 matches so Dortmund is a bit doubtful of qualifying unless there is a miracle there.

Losing points in the first meeting and they had the opportunity to play it at home was a disappointment that was seen from Pep's gesture but he turned it all around with his words, it was a mental protection for his players who this weekend will play a difficult match, but talking about the City vs Inter match which ended in a goalless draw it is undeniable that this match is a big match because Inter were also a fantastic team last season and they have been able to do it until now, it is not easy to beat them and Man City have tried with the game they are leading but last night it did not produce results.
Surely this match has many failures with bets ending in a winless draw for City, but I think for the next match Man City against Arsenal at home and they have good odds I think I will go back there with this failed bet.

I watched the highlights and it is really unfortunate because the keeper made some decent saves before. That's just the reality of football nowadays, people only remember the terrible mistake that you make instead of your 100 good saves. Then again you can't go far in the UCL if you make one or two mistakes, especially against big teams where you don't have many chances to score goals.

I think they just need to take this lesson and plan better for the next matches. They still have a decent chance to go through, it's only 1 game.

As a manager, one of your primary duties is to protect your players on and off the pitch and that's what Pep Guardiola did with his statement that he was happy with Manchester City's performance. Guardiola we know is one man that loves winning all his games but unfortunately for his team tonight, they couldn't find a way past their visitors Inter Milan.
Talking about people losing their bets, I totally agree with you about that. I doubt up to 15% of people who gambled on the game will predict that Manchester City will not score a goal in that game but it's gambling anyway and sometimes, surprising results are bound to happen

Game day 2 of this week's games didn't produce results we all expected, seeing Salzburg get beat on the road to the point of not getting a goal was unexpected, AC Milan played to a bore draw so did Manchester City which was very unexpected as that's one of those games I thought would have goals with Haaland being in good form, but I guess the Italian teams proved their old ways of being good when it comes to defensive football 👌.

I also can't accept that PSG's goal was an own goal, as evidenced by Mendes' powerful shot that Gazzaniga couldn't hold on to even though he almost held on to the ball but it slipped out of his grasp.

Honestly this was a very interesting game between Girona and PSG, PSG's attack was very strong but Gazzaniga was able to block a lot of shots at him and that's what made this game interesting for me, Girona don't seem to have much hope of qualifying from the champions league preliminary round in this way, the quality of their defense must be improved.

Yann Sommer finished his task very well by maintaining a clean sheet and breaking a goal scoring streak of Erling Haaland who scored 9 goals in 4 Premier League matches and looks to be unstoppable. This draw shows that performance of Inter Milan against Manchester City in Champions League final match two seasons ago was not a sudden good performance from Inter Milan. They actually understood Pep Guardiola and Manchester City well so that they had proper tactics to constrain Manchester City in attacking.

Manchester City are strong but not to a level that is dominating enough for winning all matches and against all opponents. Arsenal is kind of opponent that can earn points from Manchester City.

The most notable match of the day was Manchester City and Inter in the Champions League stages. What was more notable was that Manchester City could not score a single goal. I was expecting a match like this to end with both teams scoring or maybe over. It was not very enjoyable to watch either as the match ended in a draw and there were no goals scored by either team.

I have already expected this to happen. Manchester City struggle to score even a single goal against Intermilan. The worst thing is that to see horrible 90 minutes of low block by Inter Milan. We weren’t playing that bad. We could won it. But i realize Inter is one of the best teams in the world, we can’t just waltz over them.

I was disappointing see we did whole game pass to haaland, and the pass never came to him. But he did what he's supposed to do, but the problem is that City failed to set him up today. Not a good day for him though.

I watched the match between Bologna and Shaktar yesterday and both teams were so incompetent in the last shot that there was no goal in the match and unfortunately my bet lost.

Shaktar missed a penalty in the 4th minute of the first half. Even though both teams found clear positions, the last shots were very bad. In the 2nd half, in Bologna's six-pass position, the striker aimed the shot at the goalkeeper and 99% of the time the goal was missed.

Both Manchester City and Inter Milan can win most of other matches in this group and move to a next phase. Inter Milan played well and stopped a win streak of Manchester City as well as secured their position and chance to complete this group on top. In a group phase, the importance if finish it with a ticket to move to a next phase and avoid damages from player suspension because of cards and player injuries. It's main priority before considering of a position that can help them having advantage in a next phase.

Pep Guardiola is one of most successful coaches last 20 years but the coach of Inter Milan, S. Inzaghi shown that he is a good coach too and he is good in direct matches against Pep Guardiola. Inter Milan learned from their previous defeat to Man City so they played quite neatly and very coordinated. Inter Milan's defense was quite solid in that match and they managed to thwart several chances that Man City tried to create. The draw in that match was very beneficial for Inter Milan because they played at Man City's home so they can play more consistently in the next match.

Halaand failed to be a deadly striker in that match because he didn't get many passes. This happened because Inter Milan's game was much better so Man City had difficulty developing their game. Man City's midfield was also lacking in solidity, making it difficult for them to dominate the match.

UEFA events have never been easy while we are having two quality teams facing each other results like these can happen with Inter Milan done good strategy and never allow Manchester City to bring them under pressure which was big success for them in this game with at the end they are able to have one point which is going to be important in coming rounds.

On papers things were looking completely favourable for the home team, but they were not able to end the deadlock and score goal which is surely the biggest success for the Inter Milan which is having good start of their campaign in this season now this result will be brought pressure on Citizens in coming games because this new format is having good challenging time for the all top teams for having better results in every game.
After the game Pep Guardiola done good job and defend his players as they have done good job, and they have to improve their quality level in coming matches if they want to keep things at the top level.
