I don't like such crushing victories against weak teams. You can be a very good team and the opponent can be a very weak team, but I don't think it's right to underestimate the opponent by scoring 9 goals. Bayern, especially in the Champions League, haven't been able to get the results they want lately, especially when they play against a team at their level. After seeing the opponent's condition, I think they shouldn't score so many goals in such matches. They should save their strength for teams at their level.

I don't agree with saying that Dinamo Zagreb is a weak club because after all when the level is already in the Champions League it indicates that they are a strong club in their domestic competition so they represent in the Champions League and that means there are no weak clubs in the Champions League. As for when Bayern managed to break their 2-8 record in 2020 with a record 9 goals in yesterday's match it indicates that they are still above average not that Dinamo Zagreb is weak just that Bayern's level is more than that.

Now it seems that being Bayern is all wrong when they lose then Kompany will be considered unable to give the best for Bayern but when they win with a big score like this there are still those who comment that this is a natural thing because the club against is very weak. Even though this is an effort or momentum that Kompany wants to build so that he can prove himself that he is one of the coaches who deserves to be at Bayern today and indirectly wants to say that Bayern with Kompany is still one of the clubs to be reckoned with in the Champions League.

Monaco gave Barcelona early lesson this season, I expected Monaco to fight back again as they are at home and considering this is their home for the match and this will allow the internet football to cool down for while because ever since Barcelona has start this season, they haven't allow us to breath even small but now that they have lost this one, even Real Madrid fans will be able to return the same banter they have seen in Laliga.

I don't know what's wrong with Arsenal but I'm glad I didn't bet today because what Manchester City did to me yesterday I never expected and I wasn't sure about today and my instinct was right about my decision. As for the trophy, I'm use to Arsenal and there disappointment. If they like they should improve and if they like they should play what they like but I will continue to be a fan.

Thewhole stuff kicked in after the first red card and that made their defence grow weaker, Barcelona doesn't have that much of a strong defence yet even though xavi tried to work on that in his te as the coach of the club. Today game ended with a  lose actually but Barcelona had a tough time seriously  all they could do was defend more with just few shots of attack while Monaco had upto 17+ shots I think, I don't think Barcelona had even upto 5 yet they made use of one out of it.
About the Bannter, it's normal for the fans to do that last league and UCL was tough for Barcelona  and there were lots of mockery to the club & banter from different angles it even grew more when the news about their financial status became known, the fans are only returning the same , it's parallel fans will always be fans and they are gonna do fan things

Are referees biased? Or is he not experienced enough? I don't know exactly. But almost every decision taken by the referee in today's match goes against Barcelona. He gave a direct red card to Garcia. It would probably have been awarded a yellow card. He also gave yellow cards to Casado and Balde in the 88th minute. I don't understand the meaning of this either. He awarded the penalty decision. But he canceled the penalty decision due to var. However, I am not happy with the referee's behavior today. This is just my personal opinion.

Barcelona lost the match. But the boys of Barcelona tried their best. But we have to admit that Monaco's players also performed well in this match. In particular I would say Monaco's young midfielder Akliouche scored a great goal. If Akliouche can continue this form of performance, the Monaco club will earn a lot of money by selling Akliouche next season.

I don't think you're the only one who has thoughts like that about the referee in the Monaco vs Barcelona match. Because I think we here who watched the match also think the same as you. So it is very natural that the Barcelona players were even a little provoked by this and made them lose concentration, especially near the end of the second half. I'm also not very happy with some of the referee's decisions in today's match.

But it is true that Monaco players also played very well. They created a pretty good attack pattern with the long ball passes they showed.

Atlanta vs Arsenal match has apparently turned to be more like that of Manchester City and inter Milan game yesterday, the both teams are performing very well but finding it very difficult to shake the net, am very curious which team is going home victorious or is it going to just end a goaless draw just like that of Manchester City and inter Milan yesterday game. But however, I wasn't expecting less performance form both teams on today's match considering the fact that they are also doing very well even at their local leagues. It is already second half of the game and it is still at goaless draw, am waiting patiently for the full time result.

I really hope Arsenal can win this match. Because I really like them for this match. I hope Arteta doesn't disappoint everyone who bet on Arsenal. And actually, after several seasons Arsenal always failed to go far in the UCL, I hope that this season Arsenal can go further to the final. Because I think a great coach like Arteta must have experience in more tense matches like the UCL Final.

The second half has entered the 75th minute and the score has not changed, namely still 0-0. but I'm sure there will be a winner in this fight. And maybe Arsenal will be able to win with a narrow score of 0-1.

Arsenal is unable to find the back of the net in their first match till this moment and they are playing with a team that is trying to pick form whereas, Arsenal is in form. This is surprising that Atalanta is threatening Arsenal and depriving them from scoring. I feel bad that English teams are finding ir difficult to win Italian clubs even when we feel that these English clubs are more stronger than the Italian clubs or are we wrong on that.

The game ended in a 0:0 draw as none of the teams could find the back of the net until the final whistle, Arsenal just played the first match of the champions League this season you don't expect them to play beyond their performance because they are in decent form in their domestic league don't forget that they played against the Europa League winners of last season despite Atalanta not being in a good form in the league but they are not a total bad team.

The game was a very tough one with both teams having the same playing strength, equal possession,same goal attempts so I think the game is supposed to end in a draw the way it ended because both teams were of equal playing strength tonight.

It is all good the game ended in draw because seeing the game very tough it as if the both team had the same chances to win. It is better the ended in draws than for arsenal to lose being their first champions league game for the season. To me the outcome of the game for arsenal was not bad because Atalanta is a team also doing well. For arsenal not ot give Atalanta the chance to win them that means they are ready for the Champions League this season, and it will be difficult for any team to defeat them. Arsenal really needs to try their best to perform better in champions league to last longer in the competition.

With Monaco in front and one man down for Barcelona, I think it will not be easy for Barcelona on the night.

Well it won't be easy at all for Barcelona. And it seems like the two teams from Laliga today weren't lucky enough. Because currently Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are both 1 goal behind their opponents in the first half.

But I am grateful that as I write this Barcelona has managed to equalize the score at 1-1. Thanks to a goal from talented young player Lamine Yamal. I don't think Barcelona will give up on their unfortunate situation of having to play with only 10 players after Eric Garcia was sent off.

Barcelona's game will not be optimal if they lack 1 player, maybe they will be a little depressed by Monaco because they take advantage of the situation where Barcelona is lacking in attack and defense.
As far as possible, it must balance the game, otherwise Barcelona will be left behind in the second half.

But there is still a chance for Barcelona to win, they have some great players in them although a little lacking because of the red card.
Flick will probably make a defensive strategy again in the second half and they may rely on counterattacks.

I hope that Barcelona will not allow the red card given to them affect their mentality because it will reflect in their performance. However, I see that they are able to contain it because it was after the red card that they could still equalize the goal.

They should be more careful in the second half and find a way in which they can use to win the match and not allow Monaco to defeat them if not it will be a bad start for them this season.

Despite Barcelona equalizing the match making it a 1-1 draw with one man out I don't think they can be able to win this game because the red card is really showing on them as AS Monaco keeps one puting more pressure on them I think the only thing Barcelona could do In this match is to try and play more of defense so that they could get a draw in this match if they choose to come and play with Monaco it is really going to be bad on them because with the advantage AS Monaco has now they will try everything possible to make sure they are victorious in this game and also with the advantage of them been at home , Barcelona will be excited if they could get a draw in this match.

Hahaha finally it is a lost battle for for Barcelona after the the one man down, they where unable to lick their wound even though they tried to cover things up, monaco was seriously maximizing hitting back at them and the pressure was much on them, it is 2:1 victory for Monaco against Barcelona, The both played to their best but Monaco stood on taken much of the home advantage over Barcelona. But however, undoubtedly Barcelona would have been better if they had a draw game, but it is over now and what more can we say. Barcelona lost is a big loss , for many must have predicted them to either win or draw.

At some point it felt like Arsenal was been conservative too so they probably wouldn't concerned a goal, a fair start for Atlanta but they had a better chance to have done better. Atlanta to me is looking promising going by this first performance.

Losing many players due to injury certainly makes the situation more complicated for Arsenal so Arteta tries to rack his brains even when looking at Kai's new position which has always been used as a targetman now used as a playmaker it indicates that Arsenal are a little troubled with the current squad.

In the end, one point is still a positive thing even though their chance for 3 points is actually very large but Arsenal must be willing to share points with Atalanta in their first match this time.

Statistically the actual match in my opinion is a fairly monotonous match even if you see Barcleona and Monaco who play at the same time of course it's better especially seeing Barcleona lose is a separate entertainment in my opinion for this opening match.

Currently now the game is moving extremely well for the Czech team and Salzburg haven't been able to even get a reply to the three goals conceded.

I think Salzburg lost some of their quality and power that they were known for a couple of years ago. Despite playing in the Austrian league, they were still one of those teams that had to be taken seriously as they did an incredible job in sourcing top talents from all over the world. But they were just this club that brings those stars closer to other top European clubs. At some point it is hardly possible to compensate for all those players lost due to transfer to bigger clubs. I didn't expect Sparta Prague to be that dominant against them. They didn't only score more goals than Salzburg, but they were the better team by a whole lot.

I don't understand the outcome of the game because I was busy watching Arsenal against Atalanta. Am unhappy to see that two games in today's fixtures had to cut my game. I was expecting Arsenal and Barcelona to win. It's annoying how Arsenal was playing only defensively throughout the game. Atalanta was so eager to win the game that the coach had to sub a lot of players to ensure that they would score in the game. But very unfortunate for them that the Arsenal defense is very hard to go through.

Atalanta was given a penalty that was caused by Partey and they failed to score. If the penalty was taken by Lookman I am certain that he would have scored. Lucky for Arsenal they have a good goalkeeper like David Raya. He was able to remove the ball from entering the goal twice. I believe he is the best keeper we can find in football these days.

dortmund versus club brugge will also be interesting, a win for dortmund will definitely be the final result.

What is there to fear about in the Manchester city match? To me that's my most trusted match for today for home win. Manchester is going to win Inter Milan. Compare the current form in Manchester city dressing room right now, after winning 4 matches straight and Erling Haaland being in an electric form is going to fire Manchester city ahead before the end of the first half. Inter Milan are strong but not stronger than Manchester city at home. Forget about what happened in the final of the champions league they played, that was because Manchester city were being too careful. But this time around, Manchester city is going to play them proper football and they will confirm it. And the scoreline will prove it, no team gives Pep Guardiola trouble twice.

Sorry for the disappointment faced from this game and for any loses incurred if you happened to place stakes on Manchester City to win over Inter Milan. I’m pretty sure many other person made similar bets on Manchester City and lost too. Inter Milan defense was impenetrable, City could not crack it in the gam. Even the Man of the Match Award was not won by a Manchester City player but Barella for Inter Milan.

The truth is that Arsenal should have lost this game tonight if that Atalanta player had converted the penalty chance they had. How mid of him to miss such great chance. I was disappointed truthfully tonight.
Arsenal midfielder's struggled to keep possession, Atalanta even tore them apart in midfied but that's to the defenders who did a good job same way they did when theybfave Tottenham Hotspur. Well, they didn't play well tonight same way it went down against Tottenham Hotspur.
I hope Mikel Arteta dumps Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus on the bench for the game against Manchester City during the weekend. Raheem Sterling and Trossad should get the starting role for that game. The final score of that game would be 1-1 in my opinion.

I called it. I knew it won't be an easy game for Arsenal, they were the favourite but should be lucky to earn even that 1 point. The major credit for that goes to Arsenal's goalkeeper, Raya who made a fantastic double save of Retegui's penalty. Retegui should've done better on that rebound, he seemed to have enough time to take a better aim with that header, but it went right in the middle of the goal, making it possible for Raya to save it.
Apparently it was Atalanta's first ever goalless draw in their Champion's League history. What's a bit strange, it's Arsenal's 3rd away Champion's League game in a row, when they failed to score a goal.

I think the first 8 teams will need around 16-18 points
9-24, the teams for playoff probably needs 10 to 16 points.

Looks like that Leverkusen made there homework with there win today against Feyenoord Rotterdam with 4 Goals.
Only Leipzig was not able to make a draw or win there match in Atletico Madrid , as it is always hard to play there.
Over all i guess the german teams was starting very good for there first Champions League games.

The 4 goals scored in the first half looked cool for Leverkusen although the second half there were no additional goals but I think it was enough to make them comfortable and have more confidence level for their first match.

Although in today's match we could see that Feyenoord tried to do a different scheme in the second half but when the first half they were wrong in the action that made Leverkusen take a quick lead in the first 5 minutes made Feyenoord's confidence and mentality a little slack in the first half.
A good end for Leverkusen but not accompanied by another favorite club where in this match Barcelona and Arsenal did not get maximum points even though this first match they were the favorites but Arsenal were only able to draw and Barcelona had to lose with a red card mistake that actually did not need to be done because indeed this red card was purely a player's mistake that should not have happened for a club like Barcelona.
