There are some games we don't need to talk about, like the Bayern Munich game that ended 9-2. I wonder what the visitors was even doing last night in that game, 9 goals was served to the Zagrab team and one would think it's a club friendly game with that amount of goals, now Bayern Munich are flexing their muscles on teams that are below their standard but we won't see such scores against team like PSG, Madrid or even Barcelona e.t.c, well it was the biggest win last night. Tonight we might not be seeing any high scoreline but a more competitive game with much draws.

Although I expected a good win margin but not up to nine goals. In my stake I placed my bet on over 3.5 goals to be scored in the match but Bayern Munich exceeded my expectations and thrashed Dinamo Zagreb nine goals to two…..a scoreline similar to 8:2 trashing of Barcelona in the champions league some years back. Vincent Kompany is doing a good job with the current players in his possession especially Musiala and Oliseh who are in superb form this season.

Bayern Munich acted like the Bayern Munich we knew back then in 2015 when they had Lewandowski as their striker and some other active players, any team they come against have no chance of holding them to a draw at half time but things started changing as players made their move to different clubs. Now we have the little man with a big heart that does the magic for the Barbarians, talking about Musiala, if you give this guy from now till the next 3-4 years I think he'll be at the top 3 of the contestants in the Ballon d'Or and he'll outshine his mates in the world of football, I just hope he continues to be consistent.
Kompany is doing all his best to keep the players in check and also making sure he doesn't find himself on the line of being fired because those in charge only want positive results not like what they had last season that they lost those familiar trophies they're suppose to win, if Kompany have a chance of winning the champions league then it will be a win win for both him as a coach and the board of directors, they might consider extending his contract.

Atalanta tried a lot because i never expected such a good performance from them after having a terrible start of this season.

Getting a draw at Atalanta I don't think is a poor result from Mikel Arteta's men. Atalanta is one of the best performing Italian clubs since the start of the year and also possess quality players that can beat any top European team so avoiding a defeat while playing in Atalanta's home turf I think isn't a bad result. Arsenal's top performer of the night was David Raya who made a double quick save which included one from the penalty spot to help his team secure a win in that game.
Gian Piero Gasperini will be disappointed with his team's failure to get all three points from that game despite being awarded a penalty but I think it's a fair result for both teams

This is the champions league and every club must be respected, many actually underestimated Gasprin and his boys because of the difficulty they have had to their Seria A campaign but I usually say this Atlanta are always something else when it comes to European football after all they are the Europa league champions and that’s a big difference already considering Arsenal hasn’t won anything yet. Today Arsenal was once again lacking creativity in the midfield as the team played just disorganized. This signifies the importance of their captain who many of the fans do not even acknowledge that much by saying he is slow or the likes of that. Now they look lost without him, I have always been saying that the players like Odegaard are just so rare to find in football they do not have that much strength but they dictate the play. Arsenal were just lucky to have gotten a point from this game. Next is the anticipated game against the league champions hopefully they wouldn’t play this disjointed there

I thought I was the only one who noticed how the midfield struggled to keep the ball in the game. When the Arsenal team gets to win the ball they get indecisiveness on what to do with the ball in the second half. And the pressure from Atalanta increased after seeing the weakness in the Arsenals midfield. Now who will agree with me that the creativity of Arsenal's midfield lies in the hands of Odegard and with his absence it has affected the team in a way that in tough situations they lack imagination.

I called it. I knew it won't be an easy game for Arsenal, they were the favourite but should be lucky to earn even that 1 point. The major credit for that goes to Arsenal's goalkeeper, Raya who made a fantastic double save of Retegui's penalty. Retegui should've done better on that rebound, he seemed to have enough time to take a better aim with that header, but it went right in the middle of the goal, making it possible for Raya to save it.
Apparently it was Atalanta's first ever goalless draw in their Champion's League history. What's a bit strange, it's Arsenal's 3rd away Champion's League game in a row, when they failed to score a goal.

Arsenal seems pretty amazing in defense, but their offense was crap. They didn't even have the intention to win that game against Atalanta. They recorded 5 shots and 2 on target in their first 22 minutes, but then, they only recorded 1 shot in the rest. And you're right about Raya's double save; it was something for them.

I might sound biased, but Arsenal's gameplay looked so terrible without Ødegaard. They lose their attacking shape, passing, and horrible ball circulation. Their control drops drastically. And it makes me realised how important odegaard for them.

The reward for the most boring match of the night goes to Atalanta vs Arsenal! 

It was literally the only match with no goal. I never imagined it that way. Just think about it you make a betslip of over 2.5 goals, BTTS etc. and add this match into it as well. It would be devastating...

I was thrilled with Monaco's win. Even though that red card was a big help, I believe they still had a promising squad to go for points home. Hansi Flick's team still didn't lose by a big gap despite playing fully defensive after.

Marc-André ter Stegen made fatal mistake when he forced the ball to Eric Garcia during Monaco's pressure, losing control of the ball made Garcia commit fatal foul which earned him straight red card in the early match or 10th minutes game play.
I think its huge problem make Barcelona have got first loss in this season and difficult ability qualifying to knock out round because many difficult matches are waiting for in UEFA Champion League from Bayern Munich, Dortmund, Benfica and Atalanta seems not easily for Barcelona securing three points.

Have difference possibility for the match result if Garcia don't get red card during early minutes conceded have moment to make come back but playing 10 players since 10th minutes make it difficult how to face Monaco pressure playing well and success securing the first three points  for their Champion League appearances.

I think it's too early to be pessimistic no? It's just one game after all. Unless you're referring to your betting result. I think this is one of those games where you strongly believe the story will be different if you have a better player, in this case, the keeper. His performance is quite poor and you could argue he's one of the reasons those two goals happened. I think it's worth using a backup keeper for the next few games or so to change the mood around the squad.

It was a really hard result for Barcelona fans to accept where after just 10 minutes of play they had to receive a red card and everything went wrong. Barcelona's game lost its balance. This result clearly complicates Hansi Flick to get points in the next match. Monaco this season has shown that they can indeed beat Barcelona 2x in a row, there was a moment when Ter Stegan made a careless pass because Eric Garcia's position was under pressure from opposing players who were forced to chase the ball, there were 2 more reasonable left and right side options but he had passed to Eric Garcia.

Manchester City have a lot of money, and they bought many star players so that their player resource is very deep which is enough for them to have 2 different squads with almost similar quality. It's just almost, but never can be the same between two different squads. Players when are on bench a long time, have less chance of playing in actual matches, no matter how good they are, will struggle when playing and carrying big tasks again.

Squad B will always be less competitive and play worse than Squad A, it's popular at all clubs.

Without an amazing save from Raya, Arsenal would have lost this match but Atalanta shown that they are strong enough to compete against biggest clubs in Champions League. They began this season in Champions League with massive doubt on their competitiveness after promoting to Champions League even last season they won Europa League.

This draw against Arsenal and their performance in a UEFA Super Cub against Real Madrid, are enough to show that Atalanta are very ready for Champions League matches.

Personally, I was also surprised when Barcelona was defeated by Monaco and to be honest I thought Hansi Flick would be able to make the Barcelona players even better even though Olmo didn't play due to injury, but yes, now Barcelona have to swallow the bitter pill because they were defeated by Monaco but of course Monaco. nor can it be taken lightly because its power is extraordinary.

However, what is really a shame is because the red card that Garcia received and of course at an early stage when receiving a red card will certainly put Barcelona under pressure in terms of the number of players and in terms of mentality, it will also sometimes potentially be disturbed. but yes, of course Monaco was very good at taking advantage of the opportunities he got and of course with the lack of Barcelona players when competing because Garcia received a red card, it certainly made Monaco more confident in being able to beat Barcelona. but yes, it is a shame that those who gamble on Barcelona's victory have to swallow the bitter pill, but yes, football matches are sometimes always difficult to guess who will win.

Despite being unbeaten in La Liga but not guaranteeing victory in the Champions League, Monaco did not let the visitors take home any points from their home and managed to use their man advantage to claim their first win in the UCL. I have no interest in discussing the result of this match at length because Barcelona deserved to lose, they were outclassed in terms of statistics and played very badly. The beginning of Barcelona's defeat due to Eric Garcia red card and Ter Stegen mistake. There is no chance of revenge because the new format in the Champions League no longer has two home and away legs.

Look at how Yamal reacted when he saw Ter Stegen, he seemed to represent the disappointment of Barcelona fans.

Feyenoord is not a weak team so this big win is a massive win for Leverkusen. It is a big win of course, but more than that it shown very good quality of Leverkusen. It proves that their success last season is not by chance but actually comes from their hard-working and they already improved their quality and competitiveness a lot.

Leverkusen are ready to compete well in Champions League and they don't participate in Champions League this season with fear but with high confidence about their ability to beat opponents around Europe and are ready to go far.

I think this is a loss for Arsenal. If you ask why, Atalanta has been in a lower than expected performance since the beginning of the year.  Arsenal's game last night was amongst the most boring games I've seen yet since the champions league started and although some of it isn't their fault being that they played with so much fatigue but I expected a better turn out than the draw they settled for. Infact, the both sides played like they are very tired. No coordinated pass, as for the Gunners, they tried to maintain some form of control over the game but couldn't and if not that Raya had to step in, the hosts would have carried all three points.
 Now that the two sides facing off on Sunday; Man City vs Arsenal drew their games, I hope we'd see more action from them when they meet because especially for Arsenal, it will be bad that they struggled this way against Atalanta to at least maintain a point and retain some of their players only to go and lose woefully to City on Sunday because then their efforts would be wasted.

On the other hand Bayern Leverkusen won 3 points perfectly against Feyenoord, Leverkusen first appearance is very important to improve the mentality of the players. The most memorable thing in the match and also as the key to Leverkusen victory was the opportunity to make good use of the attack, so that it always results in goals.

Real Madrid won by a big margin in the first match of the Champions League. Real Madrid's opponent in the first match was VfB Stuttgart. Real Madrid won 3-0 against VfB Stuttgart. Mbappe scored the team's first goal in the 46th minute but VfB Stuttgart equalized later on, but late on brilliant finishes from both Brazilian strikers ensured Real Madrid won by a wide margin. Both teams managed to score a total of four goals in the full time, but all of these four goals came in the second half. Real Madrid never won with any big margin if you are talking about winning with big margin it was Bayern Munich against Dinamo Zagreb that ended 9-2 in favour of Bayern Munich.
For it was just a 2 zero different the match ended 3-1 against Stuttgart and not 3-0, Stuttgart scored a goal in that match and it wasn't easy for the Real Madrid team as the first half of the game ended in a goalless draw if not that Stuttgart miss there chances in the first half of the game they would have already won Real Madrid in the first half they played very well in that particular game despite losing 3-1 I never believed that Stuttgart will play so fantastic in that game, if not for a late goal from Rudiger and Endrick that game would have ended with a 1-1 draw both team played very well though but the Real Madrid has to show a masterclass in that game and prove that they are still the champions when it comes to the UEFA Champions league game and ended to game with a 3-1 win.

Stuttgart and Dinamo Zagreb are not in the same category. If Real Madrid's opponents were Dinamo Zagreb, maybe the margin of victory would have been the goal you mentioned.  But I think a 3-1 win can be called a big win. However, I was a bit disappointed with the way Real Madrid performed in the first half, but they showed their true form in the second half. I would definitely agree that Real Madrid missed a lot of chances in the first half of that match but they managed to score later to win the game. In the group stage matches we see the big teams winning by huge margins against all the other teams.

The result may not be bad. However, I could not be satisfied with Arsenal's performance in this match. And if Arsenal perform like this, they won't do very well in the Champions League.

Atalanta were strong opponents. But even then, Arsenal should have tried to dominate the match. Arsenal players managed to make only 6 shots in the full 90 minutes. We definitely don't expect this kind of gameplay from a top tier team. Atalanta's aim was to share the points in the match. That's how they managed to do it. Arsenal should change their match tactics. At the same time the forward players have to perform better.
