🔴15 minutes of reading that can save your money and spare you a lot of trouble can be found in the article "What to do if you have already been scammed." By following this guide, you will significantly increase your chances of getting your money back. It also includes many examples of how scammers operate, which will help you identify them in time. This is my most detailed and extensive article about scams you may encounter. I tried to write simply and concisely, yet the blog turned out to be in two parts. It is aimed at a broad audience, and I believe it will save many people money. Therefore, I kindly ask you to share it. Thank you.

Bunch of words when you only give few points like "use common sense", "install basic security software" and "report to police", it doesn't make you able to reclaim your coins.

You didn't even mention the most important thing which is use open source hardware wallet, the reason why many people being hacked are using hot wallet or closed source wallet.

The chance to get your coins back is really slim, that's why you need to have very good security in order to prevent from lose.

No, you misunderstood the purpose of this article. I'm not providing a guide on how to securely store cryptocurrencies. Instead, I detail every type of scam, explaining how they are conducted and what a person should do if they have been scammed. Many people don't know they should report scam addresses or what specific actions to take if they have been scammed. I haven't found any similar articles. If you have a better one or any ideas on what to include, I'm happy to revise it. But remember, the article is meant to guide people who have already been scammed and how to identify scams.

Did you read the second part of the article? The recommendation for antivirus software is mentioned only once, so I don't know what you're talking about. I recommended ESET because I know it well and I know the company's owner, so I know how they operate. 75% of antivirus software is completely useless. The section about the police explains when and why people should go to them. What's wrong with that? Please, don't be just another keyboard warrior. Show me how to do it better. Thank you.

You can also try searching : crypto hunter for hire
You might want to add a note beneath this line to point out the fact that some/most of these so-called crypto hunters are also scammers and I believe this part deserves having its own dedicated section in your article [e.g. ways of identifying them].

  • BTW, the third-party providers I've listed in "this post" might be useful.

I find your work simple to read and helpful to newbies and others in the crypto space. Let me add that one of the ways of getting information about a crypto service is to visit authentic websites. Many scammers can clone the websites of some major crypto service providers to steal from people. Download wallets or other apps from the website of the company to avoid installing a fake app.

Also, ensure you don't click on links carelessly. Check the source of every information such as emails or messages to avoid phishing attacks. We should also check the reviews about services before using them. In some cases, a product that has many reviewers might be more genuine than the one that has few. Although reviews can be manipulated they could be a good means of determining a genuine platform. However, you did a good job OP.

This is a lie, you cannot get your money back from a scammer, bitcoin transactions are not reversible and no one can offer you a recovery service to claim back your bitcoin, remember you're dealing with a decentralized bitcoin network as well as an open distributed ledger, you can only track where your money landed at but cant have it back, bitcoin works strictly by protocols and those consensus are irreversible after being confirmed.

OP should rephrase the summary of his blog on this thread or add some phrase; people will have a misconception that it's like a bank where the authorities can send your money back; there is a phrase on his blog that mentions,

Quote
If you’ve been scammed out of USDT, contact Tether directly. If the address you sent BTC to is marked on the blockchain, for example, as HOT WALLET BINANCE 7, you know your money went to Binance. Contact Binance directly. Sometimes, just waiting a few days will show that your cryptocurrency was sent to a centralized exchange, which often has marked addresses on the blockchain. Keep tracking where your money was sent.
So the way to get it back is through tracking the address, it's important when it comes to posting a summary about wallet and security we have to give complete details to avoid misconception, I also have that misconception after reading that phrase.

Recovering your stolen btc from a scammer is quite difficult to achieve and not as easy as you make seem. Except the scammer decides to send it back, the btc is gone for ever. Anyone who has ever been scammed before should make sure it doesn't repeat again by being extremely security conscious.

First things first, I'm impressed by the way you are promoting your blog by having your website as your username, now everywhere you make a post, people will see your blog and might even pay it a visit out of curiosity. I was never sure whether it is allowed to have a web link as your username or not.

Coming back to the topic, I have checked the article and I must say that it's pretty comprehensive and useful if newbies read it and pay attention to what they are reading. The biggest reason why newbies get scammed the most is that they believe strangers very quickly because they believe anyone over the internet is their well-wisher and are there to help them make money which isn't true and most people would only want to take your money and run away.

Bunch of words when you only give few points like "use common sense", "install basic security software" and "report to police", it doesn't make you able to reclaim your coins.

TBH in the end you cant reclaim if the scammer is smart enough to scam you he is not gonna use the centralized platforms to cash out or hold the funds, most likely he'll have some alternatives for that. So just forget about the reclaim dream just be double-conscious next time.

In the end, the Blog is not bad, it covered some of the basics but enough to be understood by the newbies, but I'm not sure third-party blog promotion in such a format is allowed or not, haha it's helping Op to get some backlinks support as well as traffic.

I have no problem with it until he promotes something suspicious.

I have read the article; thank you for sharing it.

In the part about what to do if someone falls victim to a scam after downloading malware-infected software, I agree with the first solution: disconnecting the infected device from the internet immediately. Also, I would add that it is essential to transfer important files to another computer, change all passwords away from the infected computer, and enable 2FA. The alternative device should be used to track the scammer's wallet. One might be lucky if the scammer transfers the stolen assets to any CEX, as the victim can contact the exchange's support and report the stolen funds, providing the necessary reports and requirements for assistance. It is also advisable to reinstall the operating system on the infected device, preferably using Linux or Mac, if the user can manage them because merely uninstalling malicious software is not sufficient on Windows. Sometimes, even the ESET antivirus program might not detect the trojan.

I have checked your platform interface, and it seems there is a service for buying Bitcoin with PayPal or SEPA bank transfer. Why should we trust your platform? And why not use well-known exchanges P2P, instead of your own platform?

I commend OP for his efforts. I acknowledge the fact that it's not easy to write and pour out your knowledge abd experiences into an article. I respect that. However,  the blog post contains only a few tips. There is one simple yet very powerful tip that I learned in my years here and it has helped protect me from even the worse of scams because phishing attacks aren't the worse attacks yet.

The tip is basically a quote — "Anything that sounds too good to be true is basically not true".

These days, If I come across a program, offer or a deal and it sounds too good to be true, I just avoid it. I know I'll miss some opportunities in the end but my net loss is still zero at the end of that day.

Less than 15 minutes with the right world and advice is ok that safe your entire life time assets, since Bitcoin is decentralized and cant be retracted if sent, it is important then to make use of every possible chance and ways to protect your Bitcoin holdings.

Security is ultimate thing and for that we have to make use of our common sense just as someone mentioned in the comment above, protect your asset with all your might.

🔴15 minutes of reading that can save your money and spare you a lot of trouble can be found in the article "What to do if you have already been scammed."

This is what we know but then other newbies who may not know about this will find it very crucial. However for those who have been in this forum they would already know and have these tips at the back of their finger tips and can even write an essay about it. In the crypto space, do not trust or any link, verify first. And if you are not sure ask question. Do not be in a hurry to do anything. Most scams thrive on the psychological component of FOMO.

Can the police really do anything once the person have been scammed?
