What I mean by decentralized is that you own your fund and only you have the power to control it. Meanwhile, when you stake your fund on different platforms, will your fund be under your control? And if it is not under your control, how will it be decentralized staking?
technically it is still decentralized because you still have some sense of control over your own funds
you choose which protocol to stake on to and you have the decision when to stake or unstake your funds as it is your private key still but I guess it depends on which platform you are talking about...
He said ' different platforms ' . Even though he say something about decentralized first, but he still didn't include the word/term on his second sentence, which made me assume that many centralized platforms are still included there when he said different platforms. If about decentralized staking, yeah, that's pretty much how it goes.
It is much safer and more flexible but I think many still chooses centralized staking. This is the same on why many still chooses to trade on a centralized exchange, play on a centralized casino, etc.
@OP, with what I've said earlier, it does matter if you think it fits your preferences over its centralized counterpart.
