In consideration of these 3 elements, if a person is not wagering anything of value, then I would say, you are not gambling but basically playing for fun/entertainment only. Missing one of these elements won't qualify for a game to be called gambling. Even if you are playing with play money, it won't be eligible as gambling activity.

Are you serious?  Who needs a license to place a bet against another person? You can't say it's illegal if I'm making a bet with you that a certain team will win a specific football match and we do this involving no third party, we are not using a bookmaker for it but we do it personally, there is no concept of this being illegal only because we don't have a license, you can't have a license to make such bets, that is illogical and there is no need for that.

A license is required to run a business if you are allowing people to come over to your house, play games or watch games and make bets while you collect the pot, charge a commission on it, and give the remaining money to the winner, that can be considered illegal because you are trying to run a business discretely and not trying to do it openly with permission.

The dictionary definition literally specifies cash placed on a bet.   You can certainly bet without cash, risked or won and my own personal opinion is that gambling can involve non cash bets.

I agree with this, because basically if we use money we can have the possibility of the final result of gambling that we can consider as a reward for gambling, so if we don't use money I think it will be very boring and very, very useless, just watching empty spins without any expectations, without adrenaline that can excite the gambling that is done, because it's just a number of numbers on a utopian balance.

In order for any activity to be considered a form of gambling two criteria must be met, the first one is for the activity to have a great degree of randomness, and second for something valuable to be at stake, free card games fulfill the first criteria as they are the same in principle than any other card game.

However the biggest difference appears when it comes to the second criteria, as you are not risking anything when playing those games, so at least to me they cannot considered to be a form of gambling.

Just as entertainment because there are no emotions that fluctuate in free games.
In essence, the excitement in gambling games is a real bet using money, and even whatever money is spent on gambling will always be considered.

I used $10 just for a trial on a gamble, not much, but it made me think why don't I use half of it, so I don't lose everything in just one game session.
