There is much skepticism in this thread heehheh. However, it is the correct assessment. We should not be very ready to trust these candidates or these people in government. They have been there lying to their people and the few of us who begin to ask questions and become skeptical are being called conspiracy theorists as if these theories came from our own minds.

It is because the government has been lying to us repeatedly is what caused these conspiracy theories hehehehe.

In any case, it appears that some services in the cryptospace will begin to declare independence from uncle Gary and the SEC. I reckon they should declare independence from the IRS also hehehehehhh.

U.S.-based crypto intelligence platform Messari has declared independence from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). In a post on social media platform X on Sunday, Messari founder and CEO Ryan Selkis wrote:

I’ve declared independence from the SEC and its corrupt Chair Gary Gensler. In the months ahead, Messari will be operationalizing a war against this illegitimate and corrupt agency.

He also shared a draft that will be “polished, improved, then sent to the SEC and Congress.” The draft explains that modern technologies have rendered the SEC’s functions redundant and that the agency now primarily serves its own interests rather than those of the public or the markets it regulates. Additionally, Messari stated, “SEC Chair Gary Gensler is not only incompetent, but corrupt.”

The firm added:

Messari will no longer engage with the SEC in any formal or informal capacities until it is reformed and its leadership changed. We now treat the SEC as a hostile adversary, competitor, and superfluous regulator.

I don't like Joe Biden's "AI regulation" draft which wants to place restrictions on compute hardware and platforms (and I obviously don't like the anti-crypto policies), but the average American is going to suffer under a second Trump term.

So now's not the time to be selfish.

I am not American and I could really care less what their politics is like or who wins but I am pretty sure the mention of crypto and their plans to "defend" it are just a way to gain support from crypto enthusiasts. politicians love to say almost everything to gain support from the people and when they are finally voted into a seat they love to ignore what they promised.
What I saw there is too good to be true, no where in the world has the government taking their attention away from complete surveillance from citizens transactions. This is politicians just been desperate to capture power and as opportunists they just know the right trending attraction  to use under the right circumstance.

I am not an American citizen either, but I do have the guts that the Republican under Trump have greater positive intent for crypto than any other party right now, it's possible that they can grant right to citizen to self custody of asset but what am not very convinced about is that, if they will be willing to grant that free surveillance and regulation of transactions without including hiding clauses should they eventually capture state power. Politicians are never straightforward with words.

LOL, all he's doing here is declaring his fealty to Donald Trump if he's elected, whom will extract $billions from this bozo in exchange to keep operating an illegal operation. He's begging for banana republic, and he should be careful what he wishes for.

Agreed, now is certainly not the time to be selfish for Americans. They should think of their country and vote for Biden. It is also time to accept reality that because of the government's anticrypto crackdowns and regulations, the cryptospace might presently not be for the American people if they do not feel the necessity to fight for this right. This is okay for the people who are not under the jurisdiction of America because we can certainly continue to enjoy the cryptospace and gamble on cryptocoins and tokens heheheh.

What's the status of the document the op is sharing? Is that the official Republican Party's vision, or is it something done by a part of Republicans? I'll assume it's an important representation of what Trump's political vision is about.
So the first two points are about migration, with the second one literally saying that they commit to carrying out the largest deportation in the US history (p. 4). I mean, I don't know about you, but deportation is not considered something to be proud of in my country, and I don't think it's a good intention. A few more points are on migrants (migration crime epidemic and deporting 'pro-hamas radicals' in colleges).
I'm not a US citizen, but those sound like very right-wing policies to me, and I'd never vote for a party that is pushing such an agenda, no matter what their position on cryptos is.
But I understand that people have different political views, and if you're someone who supports the things mentioned above plus also a pro-Bitcoin person, it makes sense to vote for Trump.

But I understand that people have different political views, and if you're someone who supports the things mentioned above plus also a pro-Bitcoin person, it makes sense to vote for Trump.

However, I am certain that the supporters of Biden who are also cryptoholders in America should not be selfish similar to what @NotATether has suggested. They might be taking a risk on losing profit on their cryptocoins and tokens but everyone can be quite certain that the American economy will be much better under Biden than under Trump.

Biden will be bad for the cryptospace, good for the country. Do not think only of yourselves and your collection of coins and tokens.

On committing the largest deportation in history, this might be because these illegal migrants are beginning to be a problem for the country. The government is in a difficult situation because the migrants do not pay taxes needed to spend on these migrants. The taxpayers are paying for everything.

Also, there is a speculation that the Biden administration allowed many migrants to enter the American border because they will use them for the election heheheh.

Democrats have scheme to register illegal immigrants to vote

That became clear Monday when the White House threatened to veto legislation intended to close a loophole allowing illegal aliens to register to vote. The loophole was created by what is known as the motor voter law, which forced states to allow mail-in voter registration in 1993.

All one has to do is check a box that says “Are you a citizen of the United States of America?” on a federal form to be signed up. Though the form asks for more information, it’s optional.

While noncitizen voting is illegal, there’s no way to know when it happens.

This is an old trope that is as false as it is racist. Republicans are really getting scared if they have to dig these old lies up from the dead.

I'm not a US citizen, but just want to share you this,

https://cdn.nucleusfiles.com/be/beb1a388-1d88-4389-a67d-c1e2d7f8bedf/2024-gop-platform-july-7-final.pdf

Go to page 9 and you will see what I mean, obviously, they are on the opposite side of the Biden and Democratic government so they will be against everything the current government has to say including everything related to crypto.

and this issue could be the breaking point that might sway voters to Donald J. Trump.

So are you willing to "Make America Great again"?

Trump has definitely got my vote and he's had it long before he started backing Bitcoin. Anyone who is even entertaining the idea of voting for Biden needs to get a health check up and a couple doses of wake the fuck up pills because shiiiiiiiiiit its bad folks. What ya'll are seeing on TV of Biden right now is extremely embarrassing for our country and its not how things ought to be, Biden is a complete and utter disgrace and the only way he makes it back in office is if he cheats his ass off, which they will try, they always do.

That's what I keep trying to say here. People are going to vote for Trump because they want abortion to be illegal nationwide. The will vote for Biden because they want to keep it legal. Things like Bitcoin, or personality, or even the relative health of these two very old candidates doesn't matter.

This is all political. When Trump says he is pro-crypto, it doesn’t really mean he is for it. And when Biden is not so pro-crypto at some points, it doesn’t mean he is against it. Remember that the US has some giant crypto exchanges, a lot of crypto users, crypto taxes, etc., none of the candidates are against crypto because of that, and/or are really pro-crypto because they need to prioritize the dollar too. They are all the same, promising this and that just for their own interests.

Don’t be fooled by political words and never make their promises for the crypto world your decision to vote for them. Vote based on your conscience.
Taking into account the ease at which politicians can lie, it is way more reasonable to assume that everything they say is not true and not change this stance until they have taken steps to demonstrate with their actions they were not lying, and even if it is obvious this is a maneuver to gain votes, this also sends an important message, that this market is so influential on the US and the topic itself is considered to be that important, that now political parties must at least lie about it to try to gain an election, which makes me think that at some point on the near future a US president could at least take some steps towards this market, so they can keep the support of those voters during the upcoming elections.

The only pro-crypto candidates this year are  *Trump/Vance*

The other candidate wants to squash it, and is illegally using his arm of governance to raid and arrest people!

Ya, tough choice right here!

They just see that their opponent is anti and take advantage the opportunity to gain a lot of votes then this is the result of those actions they have done. If they would able to follow what they say on their campaign then provably he can earn a lot more praises and support to people. But if they just became another trash politicians which only good at saying those things when they need vote for sure by next time they ask the votes of people they will never get that and people would totally ignore them.

But lets hope for the best since if Trump follow all what he say then provably it will bring some nice opportunity to crypto, maybe to get more legal acceptance to other first world countries. This is huge development to happen those what we hope will came true.

Just reliving this old thread of mine,  Grin

And it seems that in the beginning, there are a lot of skepticism, but in the end for me it could be the sticking point for some Americans to vote for Trump because of his friendly and pro-crypto stance.

So the next question is how he will move forward with all his promises?

You are not wrong. In fact, a lot of Americans voted for Trump solely for his stance on bitcoin/crypto as a whole. To me, focusing on just one aspect or issue is not the best way to choose a president but well I am not an American and I am only a crypto enthusiast. If they think that crypto friendly policies of Trump will be worth it then we can only sit back and watch how can Trump implement his promises.
