In this match Guimaraes played very well and they were able to dominate the game and get 2 goal advantage first until Boavista could create 1 goal but it was goal that was not validated and Guimaraes only needed to defend to be able to win with score of 2 - 0 but in the end it ended in surprise.
In the second half for additional time Guimaraes players made 1 mistake with handball and resulted in penalty which made the score 2 - 1, then few minutes later there was another customer and it became the second penalty that Boavista had to equalize to 2 - 2.
Haha this was match full of drama, I felt Guimaraes would really get the win and improve their standings but they failed to get it.

Meanwhile, the match between Porto and Braga is currently underway, I see the opportunity to be in Porto, because they are quite dominating the match. However, it is very unfortunate that even though they are quite dominating the match, until the 41th minute, Porto has not created a golden opportunity to break through Braga's goal. Until now, Porto has only been able to make 3 shots, and even then they are not right towards the goal.

Galeno scored at 45th minutes for FC Porto. It was equalized not long after the second half started but FC Porto was still able to win the match.





So FC Porto won SC Braga which was the first SC Braga away defeat in the Portuguese Premeire Liga this season. Although, it was as people here predicted it.

This game made me laugh a lot, in fact the Portuguese league games have made me laugh a lot. They always remind me of the league games in my country where the main protagonists in each round are always the referees and when they are not the referees it is the players of the small teams who commit penalties on purpose so that the team loses and benefits the big team. In the case of this game it was funny that Vitória dominated the game until the 82nd minute, but then they started to relax and it seemed like they wanted the opponent to score a goal. Honestly it seems like a fixed game the way the penalties were committed, it was very unnecessary. I could be wrong and it all happened naturally.




And once again Porto scores a goal thanks to a penalty. I'm wondering why the Braga player committed such an unnecessary penalty?  These are funny things about Portuguese football. With this victory, Porto remains in second place. As long as Sporting continues with its good performance, Porto will need to make more of an effort to be able to catch up with Sporting. On Benfica's side, the game was postponed, but with the current good performance, I still have hope that this season we can be champions, but only if Sporting has some bad luck.

Porto vs Braga will be big match this week because both are quite strong teams but they have also finished the Europa League match not so satisfyingly, Braga had to lose badly to Olympiakos and Porto had to accept draw against Manchester United.
But in the meeting of the two later it shows that Porto has the advantage as team that will play at home and of course they have great chance of winning, seeing the chances it is also clear that Porto is the favorite in this match.
This is an important match for Porto because they must continue to win to catch up with Sporting who were able to win all the 7 match that have been played, if Porto is able to continue to chase points then the competition will be even more interesting for this season even though Sporting is the team that is favored to defend the title.

With no hype this was one interesting match to watch, end to end attcak, controversial penalty awarded and a very high intensity match. Porto approach the match very well that because they need a win after the draw against Manchester united in the champions league, with Estádio do Dragão complete occupied yesterday the home team favorite in winning the match. I don't think the penalty awarded was a deserved one, that was a cheap penalty, there no or minimal contact but the refree awarded and Porto too advantage and got the first goal.

After the second half Braga needed to come back in the game and it didn't took that long before the find the back of the net and make the score line 1-1 but the score line didn't stay like that for long as Porto pump a continuous attack and they got their goal from pepe getting better of the keeper and making the score line 2-1.

Porto deserve the win as they where the better side, they are still very much in the title race but the race will continue after the international break. Averall it was an interesting match to watch and kudos to porto for getting the win.

Looking at Sporting Lisbon on the table they are already the winner of this league season because currently they have 24 point and the only club that has a little considerable point below them is FC porto and we can see that the margin is very big for FC porto to meet up and they will also qualify for the champions League again next season.

Only 8 matches has been played. There are still may matches ahead. Porto and Benfica are still threats to Sporting. If comparing Sporting and Porto, Sporting has played 8 matches while Porto has played 7 matches. If Porto win today, Sporting will only be leading with just 1 won match and more goals which is not far at all.

Also know that if Sporting won the league like you mean and Porto is the second, Porto will not directly qualify for Champions League but will play Champions League qualification to qualify for Champions League if he won the club it plays against.

Yeah thank you for correcting me, actually it was not FC Porto I meant to say that would qualified for the champions League, it was Sporting I meant because already we no that is only one club in the Portuguese league that would qualified for the champions League next season and you are right that FC Porto is very close to them on the table, so there next match will make them there 8 match with sporting but still the champion is not for them, also about Benfica you have seen already that they only have 16 points and I wonder how many matches they need to win before coming close to Sporting because as they keep wining that is also how Sporting is also winning.

Yesterday I fall asleep during Porto - Braga game, so, missed last 20 minutes. It's good that didn't missed anything significant and won my bet.
Nacional - Benfica game was abandoned after just 10 minutes because of fog. I guess that for players it wasn't that big issue, but for spectators in stadium and on TV it was hard to see anything. Because of international break it wasn't possible to continue game on Monday, so, league moved it to 19th December.

This is still very recent, the court process hasn't even started yet. The Public Ministry only took the case to court and made accusations based on the evidence collected. Now the defense allegations and presentation of evidence in court will begin, to check whether everything is confirmed or not. A lot can still happen in the development of this process.

Tax fraud is serious thing, but I doubt that scenario where Benfica is removed from Portuguese is likely. I predict that they will have to pay huge penalty, maybe someone who is responsible for these things can be put in prison and that's all.

Braga has always been trying in the league but the club always remain below the third position. The matches that are always interesting to me has been the the first three clubs which are usually Sporting CP, FC Porto and Benfica. Sporting CP has played 9 matches and it won the whole 9 matches which is something good. The next match that will be very interesting to me but which I can not bet on is Befica versus Sporting CP and also Benfica versus FC Porto.

Next tomorrow Porto will face AVS Futebol SAD and of course this will be an easy match for Porto, by winning again and saving 3 points then Porto will have 24 points and difference of 3 points from Sporting who occupy the top position.

I already knew that Kerem Aktürkoğlu would be successful in Benfica, but I didn't expect him to perform so well in such a short period of time. In Türkiye, there was an identity-based fan pressure on him, but in Benfica we can see that he is in a very comfortable environment. He was struggling to convert the goal positions he found in the Rio Ave game or in the Portuguese league into goals while playing in Türkiye. In Benfica, his mind is at ease and this is reflected in his play, he scores all kinds of goals. He may make another transfer at the end of the season if his performance continues like this...
