Alot of have been said and contributions has been made towards this discussion so there isn't much there's say but I just want to point out what the description of the board says, it says "General discussion about the Bitcoin ecosystem that doesn't fit better elsewhere.". That's the first line of the description of the Bitcoin discussion board so when there are topics more political related than actual discussing about Bitcoin, it shouldn't be in the Bitcoin discussion board bit politics and society so moderators should always do the needful thing because those topics are making the Bitcoin discussion board look more generic that it usually used to be.

I personally get pissed when I see political statements towards bitcoin get too much attention in bitcoin discussion when we all know it's never to the benefit of the bitcoin community, always their selfish interests.

Having the same thought buddy, still don't get why the politicians are now more concerned about Bitcoin than actual solving the problems affecting their country. I know I won't vote in a president or any political positions only because they're very actively speaking about Bitcoin when I know they weren't like that before.

I found several topics about Trump on bitcoin discussions although they were described differently. Basically the aim of the topic is somewhat the same, but with a different narrative from each creator. Trump has become a new celebrity on forum as Elon Musk has been for a while, but any topic created for political purposes should be in the politics and culture section.

If pure politics discussion especially on upcoming elections then the discussion should be place on politics board.

But if there's crypto related things discussed by those politicians including their plans towards bitcoin then I think its fine to talk about it on bitcoin discussion since we are not talking about politics but rather their plans and everything they say about bitcoin.

Also if there's betting involve especially in this coming US election then I also didn't see any problem when discuss about political betting in gambling discussion board. Since I think its fine to discuss about that matter especially people discuss about the odds and polls since this could affect their decision on which candidate they are going to bet.

This political discussion always depends on the topic tackled and it will just fade away naturally once election day ends.

Hey everyone, I've read all of your thoughts on where the Bitcoin-related US Presidential 2024 discussion should take place. I guess there won't be any changes to the board definitions anytime soon, so I hope everyone won't get bored seeing politics outside the Politics & Society board.

You know anything related to bitcoin can be post in the bitcoin discussion board . So aslong the message is related to bitcoin there's no issues , but it can also be posted at the politics board too . And this forum is a big community, so before one could make any post the first thing is to thing of the right board that the post will fit in , and you know we are humans are mistakes ain't negligible that's why there's a feature we can use to move post to the rightful board.

Having the same thought buddy, still don't get why the politicians are now more concerned about Bitcoin than actual solving the problems affecting their country. I know I won't vote in a president or any political positions only because they're very actively speaking about Bitcoin when I know they weren't like that before

I guess is because bitcoin getting More adoption, and they believe that as time goes on alot of people we began to know more about bitcoin and the adoption will keep increasing, honestly speaking I don't really care about politics stuff, aslong they ain't saying anything that will downgrade bitcoin or affect this crypto space, rather things that will help this space grow better.

At the end of the day, we can conclude that most people don't care about which board such a topic will be in - only 11 people voted, yet more than 80% think that the appropriate board is P&S. I also think that such discussions should take place in P&S, although on the other hand @hilariousandco is right when he says that they can be in both boards, because everything that has to do with Bitcoin is somehow suitable for Bitcoin discussion.

What we need to pay attention to is that such content is not repetitive and that it is not of low value - because there is no sense in repeating the same topics every time a politician says something about Bitcoin.
