As I was about to delete it, I realized that throughout my years of gambling, I've noticed that online casinos are much more secure compared to lotteries, you almost never receive scam emails like this one from an online casino. That's been my personal experience. Has anyone had a different experience, particularly with online crypto casinos?

The entire concept behind cryptocurrency has to do with anonymity and I do not think that any crypto casino that really understand what cryptocurrency is will like to adopt the habit of regularly sending emails to customers as that can become a disturbance.

It is very rare to check the spam folder because you already know the contents of the message from gmail are mostly about fraud, sometimes I check, I don't understand starting from getting an unclear lottery, someone sent goods, then winning a large amount from this unclear casino all go into the spam folder box.

This is clearly a fraud, usually the fraudsters will send to random emails, who knows where they got the email from, is it from another casino database leaking?
Even I always ignore unclear messages and never what I do.

Never experienced this thu but I can't tell if I have them on my spam box since I don't regularly check my spam box. However, casino don't send such messages to their users if not for marketing update and promotional mails, and it automatically goes to their spam box except for an authorization codes or something similar.
But to me i don't think that message is real message just as what @Steptowealth said.

I never pay attention to anything in spam unless I know 100% the sender. For example, most of the time if you scroll over the person that sent you the email it will tell you the email that it was sent from. 99% of the time its not even an email related to a casino it'll be some random dumb name that they hope noone pays attention to, hoping they'll click a link inside or send info to an email they specify.

I have an email in my spam from C O I N B A S E but the sender is actually cs.shutterfly.com. If you are getting an email from a company, normally it is going to have the company's name in the sender of the email.

That email is not from a gambling site, it is from a scammer. I have registered on many crypto gambling sites that have announcement thread on this forum but non of them are disturbing me with email messages. Most of them did not even send email message at all.

The message is very suspicious especially since it's from the spam folder, it's obvious that it's a scam trying to convince you, and we already know how scammers work with their own efforts, we can easily identify them.

There are many messages that go to spam from various names of exchanges, casinos, certain projects and we never click on them because we already know this is clearly a scam.

I've gotten several messages like this, though not from a supposed gambling site. They will always claim that I am a beneficiary of some sort of empowerment or some giveaways. Scams like these are easy to detect, especially when you know you do not qualify in any way to earn such reward. While we are here being extra careful, you'll be surprised at the number of of gamblers that will fall victim to these scam without even thinking twice just because of greed.

Gamblers who patronize online gambling platforms just have to be vigilant because scammers are busy sending out enticing messages to their prospective victims hoping to lure them into sending information that will cause them great losses. Any gambler who would fall victim of this should blame himself for allowing his greed for money control him.

I have an email account specifically for gambling though I may have connected it to a couple of non gambling stuff as well lol but I rarely receive scam emails compared to my general crytpo email accounts. Then again, the latter are much older and have more services connected which pretty sure played a part.

In hindsight, emails are fragile and services typically share our emails with 3rd parties so there are a lot of sides where leaks could come from hence it could be difficult to point fingers.

I'm not sure if it's actually relevant, the spam emails may stem from anywhere your email address was leaked. I've never actually understood how these scammers acquire these emailing lists, as I've seen it happen in relatively new addresses. I find the claim that you've never received a spam email from a casino irrelevant, as these emails are simply a scam, they don't represent actual casinos, exchanges or services. This screenshot is from my spam folder on one of my emails. I've never signed up on a casino with this address, nor do I believe that they're actual services.

It has indeed happened to me that I have received emails like those. I don't fully blame those spam emails on the lack of security of casinos, because I have used my personal e-mail for signing up in several services when I was younger. And I have personally checked whether those services I signed up back in the day suffered hacking and some leak and they indeed have, so in my personal case I cannot blame casinos on my spam folder being full off scammy emails.

Also, I think it is not necessary at this point but I will say it anyways: you should stay away from thode emails and never hand over personal information asked to you by scammers, depending on their skill and scrutiny, they could use that information to screw you over and make your life more difficult.

Spam emails are normal thing and anyone who have actively used his email is bound to receive a couple of them. It does not require much to know that any email in spam should be opened with care and the information they carry not taken seriously unless we know the sending or can verify email sender and content via another means. For me, any email that try to entice me with money or anything "too good to be true" is a red flag for me and I will discard them as soon as I see them. Same with those that engineers some feeling of urgency, I will immediately delete and block the sender.

I believe that's a pure scam attempt and nothing else. I suggest you to not send any crypto currency to that person and also not to send any email to him. That way you can be safe from that scammer and I'm pretty sure he will keep sending you such messages again if you don't take any action now but even then you should try to avoid sending any details to that scammer for your own safety and privacy.

I dont think it is the right of the casino to send you notifications without your permission. Most casinos send a prompt on the screen asking you if you would love to receive notifications in your email. Sending emails without customers' permission is wrong, so casinos should understand this and learn from it. I'll drop a review in the casino app i am using so that if they are doing it the wrong way they should take note.

Meanwhile one can restrict messages from a particular sender not to receive email again from them through their email. So it's not gonna be a disturbance anymore once they restrict or mute the casino from sending them emails.

Scammers can caught your data in many ways. Of course reputable business are doing the most ro avoid any kind of data leaks.
Personally I don't see any difference between security on these websites. Of course I believe that Is foundmental use a secondary address for these registrations.
Pay attention that once tour email address Is marked by scammers as "crypto" user, you Will received spam related any single activity related crypto worlds....

This is most likely a scam and there is a lot of evidence for this, the main one is having a reason that catches your attention and the second is asking you to contact a very suspicious email address.

Generally, in legitimate messages of this type, the website is already careful to provide a link to its own website with a page where you can access all the details of the action and procedures necessary to redeem your "reward".

So, if this ended up in your spam folder, GMail probably got it right and you should ignore it or look for the customer service channel on the website mentioned there.

I wouldn't say online casinos are more secure than another online services, because it's also possible that an online casino sells your personal data to thieves who will send you emails like that attempting to extort money. The best you can do is to just ignore that kind of email, while signing up at online services with a secondary email. Protect your personal email by not exposing it to virtual services.

There are several stories of data leaks, including from governamental sectors, so your online data is never safe when stored at third party services. You never really know who has access to your email and other personal informations you upload to the internet and to put your hand on the fire for one or another service is just too risky in my opinion. I prefer to remain skeptical regards it.

I believe that's a pure scam attempt and nothing else. I suggest you to not send any crypto currency to that person and also not to send any email to him. It's obviously a scam to have to send an email to @yandex, I doubt that this email is not legitimate.

I'm sure if you send a reply to the email for example with random data in the end the scammer will reply with another reason that finally asks you to deposit first to make up for the compensation, this trick has become a classic but sometimes there are people who always believe in this cheap email reply.

Ignore it, it's definitely a scam. Scammers try to convince those who receive this email message, because this email will go to spam.

Well you just have to ask yourself whether it was from the casino's that you have sign up? Or maybe your email has been on the list here? (https://haveibeenpwned.com/). Unless you are really sure that your one email is just solely used to register to casinos. And if that is the case then you should go and try to look what casinos might have been 'compromised' to get your email address.

And so with that, I wouldn't jump on the conclusion just yet that the online casinos might be the culprit. Not saying that you might have used your emails to other website, and the hackers could have breach that website and then they able to get your email address. There are a lot of possibilities, is what I'm saying.

Lotteries and casinos aren't mutually exclusive. There are many casinos that offer lotteries. So comparing the two doesn't seem logical.

Anyway, online casinos are only as secure as their security system or data protection. Majority of online casinos collect personal information. KYC information such as your full name, contact number, address, and so on may not be required upon sign up, but the right to collect these data anytime is reserved to the casinos. Outside of this, email is usually required. So, it only takes a single data breach for a leak to happen. When that happens, expect spam messages.
