As I was about to delete it, I realized that throughout my years of gambling, I've noticed that online casinos are much more secure compared to lotteries, you almost never receive scam emails like this one from an online casino. That's been my personal experience. Has anyone had a different experience, particularly with online crypto casinos?

This is just the body of the email how you can sure its not come from the lottery? so you mean that you join in lottery using your email that's why you receive on it, tons of us received different message from spams every day came from different subject and content of their email just to look like the real one just to deceived and lets accept the fact still there's a victim on it. Also we are using internet if the casino you are using have a weak security, hackers can easily penetrate and stole your information, not just in the casino this happens of course.

Scammers do not really care about this, if your observations are correct you can be sure the discrepancy can be explained away by the results those scammers get.

So it is likely they have more success scamming people by writing an email claiming to be part of a lottery, than doing the same by claiming to be part of a casino, so I would not think too much about it and instead will concentrate on not even taking the time to open an email like that to begin with, as you do not know what kind of virus could infect your computer just by opening an email like that.

Probably just cause the scam lists don't have you under gambling? Scammers kind of have a dump list of info afaik about the people they send stuff like this, and most of the time it's related to whatever activity they were doing recently, maybe up to the past 1 year at least?  Never had this thing though probably cause I use a dump email for my casino accounts, my main account usually just receive spam emails and promotions from frigging news sites and whatnot lol.

Also, phishing scams still happen yes but most of the time they're done live no? Like as a customer support call or something.

The fact that it came from the spam folder means a lot of things. Cheesy

You are right, I have not received anything scammy emails in crypto casinos or online casinos. I mean our email addresses are always not safe, they can be sold to the black market to use for scam attempts but I have not yet seen a thing that says I won something from the online casino that I use except it's legitimately a win which is just low amounts.
I guess they are doing a great job at keeping our emails secured in their server or in their system and that proves a bit that we are using a reputable gambling site.

My experience is somewhat the same as you OP. I still receive a few spam emails here and there, and mostly they're falsely marked as spam when it's an official email coming from a casino that I regularly use.

Also, the others are right, I wouldn't blame their security only because it was used through spam email. It's easy for the spammers to use any other name to lure people into their trap and in this case, they likely used it because lotteries usually have a decent reputation.

The fact that the email was sent to spam is a red flag. But after checking the information on the Internet, I saw many similar cases, and this scam has been going on for at least four years. The fraudster sends out emails to obtain personal information, including wanting to get credit card information. Just think about how the scammers could have your email address. Perhaps it is time to change it for better security.

Without realizing it, most people are trapped by sending emails from fraudsters in the name of crypto gambling sites and they are unable to recognize who the sender is. Some of the sites I registered with rarely sent emails except during initial registration and that was only a confirmation step that I knew of. So don't get caught up and maybe be careful when receiving emails so that we don't make unnecessary mistakes.

There are many email messages that go to spam and maybe we have to be careful in seeing them so we don't get caught up in what they want. Most of the messages we receive probably talk about receiving the benefits of such a gift and when someone is unable to recognize that is where they will try to cheat.

So you got 500k, and I won 4.2 million... Smiley

I often receive such emails, there are also emails from different casinos where I am not registered, but they offer some money, bonuses, and the like. It's 2024 and I don't believe scams like this still work... I guess that says a lot about how many digitally illiterate people there are in this world.

It's very simple, just delete and ignore all these messages without reading, clicking, and doing any research about it. Even if it's just your feeling that something looks fishy just move on... Old but gold: "If it sounds too good to be true it probably isn't real"!

Honestly I don't care with my mail because it's full of spam, even my personal email is full of spam too, I have no idea how can someone find my personal email. I might miss some important mail, but usually people who seek me not only send message to my mail, instead they also try to contact on my telegram or Whatsapp.

The entire concept behind cryptocurrency has to do with anonymity and I do not think that any crypto casino that really understand what cryptocurrency is will like to adopt the habit of regularly sending emails to customers as that can become a disturbance.
Nah, even Bitcoin is just a pseudonymous coin, only some coins are focus in anonymity, the rest are centralized and contain KYC. And I think most of cryptocurrency are sending spam email to because they ask you to subscribe their emails.

If that email stay in my spam email folder, I will not bothered to think that. That email is spam so you don't have to think much about that email. No one will gives you the money by free so you need to realizes that.

They just want to trick people to gives their details to the scammers. They can collects many things from people so they can use for their benefits. We already experienced when getting the promotion from some casinos but that will different from what you gets.

A scammer who wants to trick people from the online crypto casino or other business will use the other ways. They will search for what kind of trick that they can use to gets their target. Those scammers will use people's greediness from the people to attract them to follow the instructions.

It depends on what online casino you register. I tried to register before on new casino that offers bonuses here but the effect was I received a lot of promotional email such as bonuses from unknown casino that I don’t have any account. This means that some online casino is sharing our data to other casino.

Worst experience is when I register on local online casino because they invaded my privacy through texting me casino offers from different casino. My mistake was I use my personal e-wallet to deposit while my personal mobile number was connected on it. I have no problem on the specific local online casino that I registered since they are licensed but the problem is many unknown casino got my number that keep sending me spam promo.

Scammers bank a lot on the greed of their victims. They often make offers too good to be true.
While I was reading the mail, I had no idea it was a scam mail till I got the the part where they said the compensation was "500.00" British pounds. That's half a million pounds. Who pays half a million pounds to a bunch of people as compensation for something like this? The thing is, they have to make the money worth it so it will be enticing.

Then there are the red flags. What do they need all that information for if the person has already qualified for that money? Why not just pay it into the casino/lottery account of the beneficiary? They also ask you to send your details to a particular person. Scammers may come in different forms but once you're not greedy and security conscious you'll always sniff it out.

The email did not come from one of the casino you're playing, because they would have use their domain to claim that they originate from the casino, the sender use a yandex mail which is a personal email, anyone can send a spam and claim they are giving you millions but if they are using emails like gmail or yandex they are just bluffing and they just want to scam you.

I rarely check my spam mail box unless I am expecting any mail and maybe the sender specified that I check my spam or junk box if I don't see the mail on my normal mail box. But for the time being, I don't think I have received a mail from scammers posing to be  a reputable casino. Although, I have seen some member here that complained of receiving mails from a casino they have not used or registered there emails with before.

As I was about to delete it, I realized that throughout my years of gambling, I've noticed that online casinos are much more secure compared to lotteries, you almost never receive scam emails like this one from an online casino. That's been my personal experience. Has anyone had a different experience, particularly with online crypto casinos?
Scammers can use any means to carry out their criminal operations. Since some crypto casinos ask for KYC which includes emails, one can still receive this kind of scam email. But I have not received any of this kind of fraudulent emails from any gambling platforms, but we should be vigilant at all times.

I've gotten several messages like this, though not from a supposed gambling site. They will always claim that I am a beneficiary of some sort of empowerment or some giveaways. Scams like these are easy to detect, especially when you know you do not qualify in any way to earn such reward. While we are here being extra careful, you'll be surprised at the number of of gamblers that will fall victim to these scam without even thinking twice just because of greed.
The email is an example of a cheap scam that usually promises enticing benefits that look too good to be real. Most people who become victims are driven by greed. Sometimes, people who don't even have a relationship with these casinos or lottery believe these lies because they assume they are just lucky.

In the past I used to receive many emails from some Nigerian scammers, they would write things like: "I am Mrs. X's lawyer, she is not in good health and her last wish was to leave you an inheritance of 30 million pounds. But in order for you to claim the inheritance you need to sign these documents and send them back to me and send 350 euros via Western Union so that I can file the lawsuit..." The content of the emails were like the one I described. I would not fall for this type of scam. But in the last few months I have had a lot of headaches with emails coming from casinos where I never had an account.

days ago I received an email from a casino where I never had an account and the title of the email was the following:

I was wondering what they mean by "Turning up Trumps with 150 HB FS"? I spent a few minutes thinking about what "HB" and "FS" mean. As I couldn't understand anything, I went to read the entire content of the email, and to my shock there was only this:

I understood that "HB" means High Bet and "FS" means Free Spin. But what about Trump? Are they talking about Trump Coin, the shitcoin that was listed on Yobit? I didn't understand and didn't click on the link. I went to research the casino and saw that there are accusations of scam and a big warning at the casino.

I don't know how this casino scam has my email.

There is one expression: the older the deception, the better it works. I have been receiving similar letters for 10 years, if not more, and every time in the email I am the heir to wealth, since my relative died in Africa, I won a million and everything like that .This type of deception is designed for the person to transfer a commission for receiving the announced amount in a letter, and yes, this fraud scheme still works to this day if the mailings continue. 99 people will understand that this is a scam, but 1 will definitely pay. Not everyone is financially literate and there are those who They don’t understand that these are scammers.

I have received many spam message but not this type and from the content of the message it is very clear that it is a scammer message. Slow death you really got it well. That was very common in the years of 2011 to 2019. And they used girls to attack victim and claiming to be the lawyer of "Goodness" or whatever female name and they would say, they are in Dakar Senegal. And the father died so they want me to send money to do the documents for here to come and meet me. Lolz. Those methods are old nobody will fall again.
And that is why they coming with this new crypto method.

Anything pertaining email that landed in my spam box it most likely that I won't even see it except for the fact I'm informed by the sender of the email that the email might end up landing in my spam box because I see them as trash. I have once received a phishing email about money I won according to the email, but it wasn't related to Casino game, but mine was a big amount of money in Bitcoin they said was sent to me by a particular website that I could no longer recall with a link that was attached to it, I didn't even hesitate in deleting the email as I immediately understood the aim of the sender.

First of all, we have to be careful of the gambling platforms we are subscribing to, secondly is about our personal information, they should not be left vulnerable online for anyone to pick on them, even if it is our email address, we should avoid leaving it to the public, when we take measures on all these, we are not going to be a victim to an extent because we have already taken some control measures form our end.
