This might be true as you said in some situation, not all situations per say. Bitcoin is very expensive, no lies. You can't enjoy investing in Bitcoin with small amount of money and you don't expect people to even risk more than they can afford to lose. Since it's little they have and they can only buy a small portion of sats, why not risk it into a more project that is potentially promising and could do well, that's why many people have invest in this altcoins.

If altcoins is about getting quick profits, then people that has money into Bitcoin and also altcoins want the same thing but some of them diversify their portfolio to buy altcoins so they can earn some of this growth from altcoins since they do have small market cap and have the opportunity to go higher. Literally speaking, I would agree that we can get higher earnings in altcoins compared to Bitcoin; this is true. But you should base your investment on altcoins that are listed on the top market. And you must also know how to analyze potential altcoins.

Although it is the same that you can get profit in Bitcoin and altcoins, the level of risk in altcoins is higher compared to Bitcoin. It is not possible to say that you will not earn from Bitcoin because that is wrong, because the assurance that you will really earn from Bitcoin is higher compared to altcoins. May be they are looking for high returns on their investments even bitcoin giving consistent returns in longterm the percentage is small when compared with trending coins.

Well, we people won't just invest for nothing but we invest for a profit and we like it even more if we can also earn tons of profit. Saying that BTC giving consistent returns for the long-term is actually better than what alts can provide normally even if that return is what we can say only small.

The truth is that there is no such consistency in crypto due to their volatile nature but it is true that BTC can provide good profits sometimes in the long-term, while many alts especially the trending ones don't usually last long. Even with that, BTC can still win over them. New alts can get trendy and that can give the investor a quick gain. This is the reason on why someone will be interested on them. Other than that, alts do also have a different use case than in Bitcoin.

You nailed it. People are trying to make their fortune from altcoin. though it's rarely happening, but it can give you a jackpot if you can find a legit token. Also, read some stories about people who became billionaires. They made their fortune by investing in a meme token.

'Make a fortune' can also mean small amount and this is highly possible in investing in altcoin. There are still good alts too, so earning bigger profits is possible as well. Legit token is only legit but it does not mean that it is now going to be the next BTC. I won't say that those one-hit wonder cryptos are not legit because they still manage to pumped-up and then if we are fortunate to invest with them we can also have an epic moment.

Maybe they think that by investing in altcoin, they can make a big profit. That can be right if they can finds the right altcoin that can increase so high in the next altcoin season. The problem is they will need to finds the altcoin by research and analyzing every top altcoins to find it and that will difficult to gets because all of the altcoin will have the same chance to increase. They think that with some enough money to invest in altcoin, they will make a big profit while if they invest in Bitcoin, their profit will not be too big as they must use more money to invest in Bitcoin to get a big profit. That will be up to their decision so we can not force them to just invest in Bitcoin only because they see the other opportunity to invest in altcoin so they will still try it.
