I think bitcoin is gaining more adopters because people are getting to understand it better and I feel in the future people won't be worried about the volatility of bitcoin because they already know what the volatility of bitcoin is all about. Firstly you should understand that Bitcoin wasn't and isn't ment to solely be held, there are other things with which we can do with Bitcoin, following it's original purpose of creation which entails independence and limitless control of transaction, this will mean that all the new adoptions will further increase it's usage making it more valuable and holders too can make some profit of it so adopting isn't a threat to which Bitcoin is going to not have its value appreciating anymore.

The only advise at this point is to start looking into diversification of your holdings and not limiting yourself to holding alone so in any case in the nearest future, you will still be making profit for yourself off your holdings.

Surely, in as as much as the future is untold there is high possibility of profitablity if only we can buy and hold over time, definitely every body didn't and can not start the Bitcoin journey at the same time hence while others might be selling others will be buying too. Historically, Bitcoin has been making an all time high before and after Bitcoin halving putting those who has bought enough Bitcoin and has held for long over time in good profits, but it is best that we maximize the opportunities that we see today other than getting worried about what will become tomorrow, because if we don't prepare today we can not enjoy tomorrow.

From my point of view, I think the OP is demanding to know if we will still profiting from bitcoins just as holders in the future, but I do not think so because I believe that the profit that early investors made from just holding bitcoins till date is very significant and that the chance to profit from just holding bitcoins will reduce that if you must profit very well, you have to do other things to really earn some bitcoins. This is really far into the future in my thoughts, and I think maybe around this time, bitcoins will already be in consideration for adoption. While we read and hear people say that they'll never sell. I don't think that it is ever going to happen, each of us will come to that point that we have to sell. No matter what's the point of them telling that they'll hold forever, a point will come that's inevitable and they have to sell. It's really hard to buy back after selling and that's why if we DCA while we buy regardless of the price and even it's quite painful doing it when we've sold already and we think that price is quite expensive, we have to do the same when we're selling. Well, no one's going to stop anybody when they're on the right time selling and all they want to do is to sell everything or DCA but in a selling pattern.

There are people that will be ready to actually hold till the end and they will just focus on selling the profits gradually, everyone have their draft plan on what they want to do with holdings. Unfortunately after purchasing bitcoin or altcoin all investor have their own target for selling their cryptocurrency assets depend on kinds coins holding, indeed make investment in bitcoin they set up how much bitcoin price increasing to sell and how long with their bitcoin keep holding. Some investors get stable financial maybe free for long term holding and just selling if any emergency fund needed to recovery with their business but during not any urgent keep hold their bitcoin until reach most expensive price.

Not everyone who sells will achieve the same level of profitability. Your decision to sell is not more important than your investment decision to buy at the right time, particularly when you purchase during Bitcoin price dips.. There are so many ways we can earn in the crypto space and we don't have to only rely on the price of Bitcoin to shoot up become we start making money.
