Bitcoin testnet, is the version of bitcoin made to do testing, that way developers don't risk money while they are coding an engine that involves bitcoin or a node. And it was supposed to never have a value, until an exchange decided to list it, and now it has a market.

So, the question here is, would you like to see a casino that allows you to bet with Bitcoin Testnet?

The risk about this "coin" is that it can be depreciated and restarted at any moment, that's why it used to be on version 3 (which is still alive), and version 4 is in the process right now.

I will prefer to use bitcoin to gamble. Bitcoin testnet is for testing. Some people can be buying and selling it but it does not worth it for me. If I need another coin to gamble, I will prefer to use USDT, USDC or any other stable coin to gamble. If it is not bitcoin mainnet, bitcoin lightning network and stablecoin like USDT or USDC, I do not use any other coin. Even bitcoin testnet I can not also use it to gamble.

No casino that I know of uses bitcoin testnet this coin only for testing for developers whereas casinos would be a bit difficult to integrate, after all who would gamble with this free money?
Well I don't know enough about bitcoin testnet v3 will be in research and v4 will be in process soon, is this part of testing for developers?
And I'm sure no one will gamble with testnet coins, usually casinos have their own testnet coins to test casino demo games.

Why? if the casino have their own faucet or worthless coin or the gambling providers offer demo play for their games, I don't see any reason why we need to use Bitcoin testnet because they all same.

AFAIK there are no casinos that offer Bitcoin testnet to test their casinos and I think it's harder for beginner to use Bitcoin testnet.

Bitcoin testnet is for testing of projects to avoid losses if real bitcoin is used due to some mistakes that was not gotten right. I have seen in this forum that some members mine bitcoin testnet and give it out for free to whoever wants to use it on their project or to learn with it because it is valueless.

It will be funny for any gambler to use bitcoin testnet for gambling just like it will be useless for any investor to buy bitcoin testnet and keep hodli as an investment instead of using it for their experiments. I will not gamble with bitcoin testnet when there is real bitcoin and USDT.

If this was something I had then I would have loved to see it in a casino but since I don’t have any Bitcoin Testnet so I don’t really care if they get incorporated into a casino or not.

Since it now has value don’t you think we should think of it the same way as we think of other crypto we have? If it was back then when we could not sell them due to not being listed I would have had a different opinion on this topic but since there’s a way to convert it to other crypto and fiat then it should be treated the same as others and the same feeling we get when  new coin gets added to a casino should be felt here as well.

Unless I have those testnet tokens reserved somewhere that I'm looking for, I won't take the double risk of taking my money to go and buy BTC testnet tokens just to gamble when I could possibly just use that money to gamble someone else where I don't have to worry about my holding being devalued over night.
 
Let it just be that the risk I am facing is the risk of losing in gambling and not living with the fear of devaluation. What if the only exchange that listed it decides to delist and pull off all liquidity?

In my years of gambling on Cryptocurrency,  I have not encountered a Bitcoin testnet; what I usually encounter is casinos' test token, which has no value just for new signups to test their platform.

If the casino does not offer free spins and I want to test the platform, I use a small amount to deposit and have done this on some casinos I sign up with; it is always better to test the platform with a small amount, but this is after you read independent reviews about a particular casino.

We have to look in to this on two critical perspectives, the first is on what the gambler want to see regarding this, gamblers will want this to be more effective because most of them have already acquired the tbtc because they have received them a long time ago freely performing some task or claiming from some site and this will make them to easily gamble without having to use bitcoin or any other crypto, the casinos would not support for this because of gamblers will not generate them a level of income required in a reasonable amount since they can gamble with tbtc.

Casino usually has its own free money token or demo mode to enjoy the game without using real money. Some casino like coins.game has candy token(free money token) which you can use to compete with free tournaments with real rewards which is much better than using testnet Bitcoin that same no value yet you can earn real money by growing your free tokens.

I hate the idea of using demo mode/valueless token when gambling because there’s a lot of games that you can enjoy on this version while gambling usually can only be enjoyed when you stake something on it.

As the name suggests, Bitcoin testnet is only intended for testing, it is not recommended to use it directly on regular transactions, so when someone uses it for their gambling, there is a high probability that there will be a problem that the gambler does not want. Moreover, why would someone use Bitcoin testnet when they can use Bitcoin mainnet for their gambling? It just doesn't make sense for someone to use a testing asset when they can use the real asset, unless they are very bored and have nothing to do.

Why "CASINO" need to maintain a wallet for testing coming to testing their casino while they just can created demo/virtual coins for testing purpose. If we seeing for management and business flow these is not really make any sense and just make our resource more heavy.

hell no    I hope no casino decide to use bitcoin for gambling. Ok for use this coins as TEST... the reason they have been invented!
Please note that this blockchain can be "deleted or re-arranged" by devs so it should be used for test purpose and nothing related economic aspect should be used with bitcoin test.

It’s not a bad idea to bet on using tBTC because you are technically not using any money but gambling without risk. I think it is a choice that you can make on a site. It can be a simulation type of thing when you have that much in BTC, and you think it’s actual.

It can be a problem for people who might be addicted to gambling and have actual BTC.

There is no need to use bitcoin testnet instead let them give bonus to test their casino or the gambler can use the demo account to test the casinos. I have not used the bitcoin testnet before so I will not like to use it. But I will like to use it for the testing purpose and not for gambling. And I think that should be less risk because it is not real money. And that is similar with demo.

Don't listen to what people say and watch what people do. We may say that this is not interesting and if we see it as an option become active users of this new gambling modality.

In addition, as you said, it is not a worthless coin anymore: it has some value from the moment it is listed. Very cheap but also very risky because it can be worth nothing at any point. But isn't betting precisely for risk-takers?

If it has a value then most are probably all for a casino adding it, but devs would probably rather see it stay as a testing currency. If you are able to claim from the faucets still then I don't expect the market to ever get very high. I know there were a few faucets that were giving out like .01 per claim or something at 1 point.

I don't think would be an interesting way for gamblers to play in a casino.The value would be very small and not interesting at all for gamblers or casinos to bother listing this as a currency to their offerings,in fact from what I have seen in many big reputable casinos is that even some major cryptos are not yet accepted in there like Ethereum Classic with only BC-Game casino offering it and in fact being one of the most user friendly in the amount of currencies it allows a gambler to play.Personally I don't see any value from such tBTC coin and their value is when the developers are testing as that is the purpose for which these type of coins were created in the first place.

Since the casino will also offer the demo for testing their games before I play in their site, I won't want to waste much time playing with the testnet. Bitcointestnet is for testing of projects and that what it was created for. It doesn't have real life value nor will it make and useful profits. So buying it from an exchange with my own funds is like giving out money own money. I'll rather just play in demo instead and bet using USDT. I don't bet with BTC as I see no reason why I should waste my coins on gambling. Beside, I woul love to see the same value of the coin I left when I return to gamble and of cause only a stable coin can retain units pegged value.

It is not interesting if you only use bitcoin which is a bitcoin testing, although some people might be able to sell or give TBTC from several sellers, but if for gambling, I think it feels less, because maybe in terms of value and certainty of the coin itself, and as you say That it could be reset from the beginning and we will lose it, I better use the original Bitcoin that has been mainnet and or uses other coin/altcoin which incidentally has no worse risk than the tesnet or testing.
