I always prefer to gamble after occasion because I wouldn't want a situation where I would have to rush my game or where my mood would be affected as a result of a bad gambling day.

Depends on how important it is. I know for sure a gambling loss is going to affect my mood however hard face I am. So, if the ocassion is really important, I avoid gambling. First in order to answer the question we should know what makes us spoil our mood.  If losing in our gambling activity spoils our mood then it is best to skip our gambling activity before the important occasion.  It is a no-brainer actually, unless we have a problem in our control over our gambling urge.

In case we can't control our gambling urge and despite the knowledge of getting frustrated after losing we keep on engaging in gambling, then it is really a huge problem.  Due to the Domino effect, we might end up petty because there is a huge possibility of not enjoying the important occasion and there is also a possibility of venting our frustration to others in just a simple misunderstanding.  If this is the case then we need to have ourselves evaluated by mental health professionals in terms of gambling control.

Losing and winning in gambling is really that very common and its really that a little giving out that kind of bad impressions and you are really that expecting too much then disappointment would comes next.
If you would really be going into an important occassion then it wont really be bad on taking up gambling session or dealing with it up. We are all free on the things that we would really be doing

I can't gamble in a critical situation, especially if there is an important event, especially if the event is related to family, of course I prefer to gamble after the event is over. It depends, if the bet I place is quite large, then it is impossible for me to miss the result of the bet, even if I have an important event. Unless the amount of the bet I place is in a reasonable amount, even smaller than usual, then I will not care enough about the result of the bet, regardless of whether I win or lose.

even though what you say is true, in every game or bet made there will still be hope of victory from the gambler. I think all gamblers expect to win, not just for fun. that's the reality.
if the results of the bet are not satisfactory and may change the mood, most likely the gambler is indeed used to gambling all the time. it has become a daily routine.

So basically you gamble when you have to and don't gamble when you don't have to.  Since you participate in gambling targeting money, you primarily participate in gambling for income. Like you I don't take part in gambling only when I have to but one thing is unfortunate in my case that when I have to I can't win in the bet but when I don't need or don't have money then if I bet then I win in the bet. Sometimes I bet on gambling in various occasions but mostly I lose and after losing I go into my off mood and abstain from gambling for a long time.
