What you just explained is in line with one of principals of investment, "high risk high return". This is just so simple, you can only suggest to people on a better option which you feel can be trusted when it comes to cryptocurrency investment and for sure Bitcoin remain the best among other cryptocurrencies due to it's life span and the proven track records but the choices are their for the investor to make given that a lot of people has had huge profit investing in alternative cryptocurrency and shitcoins as such they would always try to risk it no matter what the outcome come will be. I agree with you that the percentage is smaller than the outfit that is obtained, there is more loss than profit, only a certain amount to get a large income, even if you really always monitor the movement of market prices, unlike Bitcoin which wants whatever the results are the same, even the income will reverse the initial capital invested, at least look for something better than buying results and later it is not a profit that is obtained but a loss, that's why many people avoid investing in Altcoin because the many affordable prices make many victims of their investment losses in Altcoin.

Altcoins are really suicidal, TBH on the name of reliability I don't prefer any kind of investment in other coins not even in ETH but yup I consider ETH as a good investment opportunity with a lower risk, still there was something called LUNA haha which became the trust of many people and people made heavy investments even by taking loans and ended up by losing their lives in depression. From that I'm on the idle side don't fall into affection with any coins except Bitcoin.

TBH I'm not very strict on alts as I like taking risks under control but when it comes to the Bitcoin discussion section haha I feel like it's degrading Bitcoin's worth, It comes altcoin section which I mostly don't visit for a long time on this forum there we can discuss some of the gains and potential risks as well. Having a small portion of your portfolio in alts is not a big deal as far as it's not affecting your accumulation of Bitcoin because, at the end of the day, it's Bitcoin that is getting stronger not the shit alts where you've invested for the unrealistic gains.

Bitcoin would continue to remain the best coin for investment regardless of it's volatility or how high any of those alts get, they stand no chance against Bitcoin, new investors shouldn't be starting their Cryptocurrency journey with Alts, it's like setting death trap for a child before he's birthed.

Indeed getting involved in other coins other than Bitcoin is suicidal and Many people are ready to commit it, many people may prefer investing in other coins than Bitcoin just as you said that it is simply because it offers higher growth potential than Bitcoin which is very unrealistic with zero guarantee making it very risky when compared with Bitcoin, Bitcoin is more reliable with more solid foundation.
