My parents never believed in this and didn't support me. I understand them because this isn't their era, and they thought all of it was a scam. They never wanted to support me in investing, but I understand and don't hold it against them. I think, you took a good step by learning the Bitcoin and cryptocurrency before planing to invest in Bitcoin to become an investor, and don't forget to invest what you can afford to lose in Bitcoin and cryptocurrency investment, because the investment is different from other fiat investment you can invest all your funds and get results the next month or year. I know your parents will not support you based on what they have heard concerning Bitcoin and cryptocurrency which is not true but it is very difficult for parents to believe that is not true, because they got all those information from the government financial institution that made them not to support you financially or physically to achieve your goal and I don't blame them for such behavior. Well, the story make small sense OP, but at your age 18,  I think you are still a child in this investment and you need to use quality wallets to save your Bitcoin and cryptocurrency for you to experience huge amount of funds that will increase your capital.

You are a young man of 18, I think you have the ability to understand what is good and what is bad according to your age. You have known about Bitcoin since you were 16 years old hearing about it. If you have a good salary and are not dependent on parents, you can invest monthly or weekly using DCA method with part of your salary. But that's not all, you must be experienced with your investments and holding your investments. Everyone's parents believe like your parents because they are not of my generation like yours it will take time for them to understand about Bitcoin.

It's more than expected that older generations are highly skeptical of things they have no experience with and don't fully understand. And conservative approach and sticking to what you know works, may not sound romantic or exciting, but it's a safe way, and you don't want to take too much risk especially when you have children to provide for.
I'd be more worried about parents getting overly exposed to risky investments like crypto.

And way too many people are looking into crypto as an alternative to hard work and acquiring real-life skills. That's a big mistake. There's no reason you cannot do both.

Honestly, I like that at the age of 16 you are already thinking ahead.

My parents never believed in this and didn't support me. I understand them because this isn't their era, and they thought all of it was a scam. They never wanted to support me in investing, but I understand and don't hold it against them. Now that I’m 18 and have a fair amount of money from my salary, I’m directing it towards Bitcoin investment, and other investing projects.

If I look at the quote you wrote why your parents have not supported you in that matter because at your age, your main task is to focus on education first, not investment, if you are old enough and have a permanent job later I think the decision is absolutely in your hands and you only need your parents' blessing by conveying that you have started to enter and invest in BTC. Rest assured, no parent doesn't want to see their child succeed in any situation.

I appreciate your curiosity and eagerness to learn about Bitcoin and Cryptocurrencies. Gather information about Bitcoin and Cryptocurrencies and another important thing to be careful about is investing. In my opinion DCA is the best way to invest coins. By investing coins in DCA you can get good profits later on. Which will be very helpful for your future. Hope through hard work and investment you will be able to reach your goal .

Interest in investing in Bitcoin will arise when you already have knowledge of how Bitcoin works, so far Bitcoin is still the mainstream in Crypto investment, many investors invest their money in Bitcoin more than other crypto assets. Your desire will greatly help accelerate your development in Bitcoin investment, especially now that you are in a forum that always provides the latest information about Bitcoin developments and also things to avoid after investing.

Your parents' distrust of Bitcoin investment is due to their understanding not yet reaching the level of this industry, Bitcoin is still foreign to them, it is natural that they consider it a scam. The latest breakthroughs are indeed rather difficult to accept for people who are elderly or whose knowledge of technology is very limited, there is no need to convince them to believe in what you are doing because it will only drain your energy.

Do as you have learned and increase your knowledge in this industry to protect yourself from any risks that may cause loss of assets. Continue investing in Bitcoin consistently by setting aside a percentage of your salary, using the DCA strategy is the best choice for you if you want to save assets in the long term.

That's why I never liked the idea of teaching bitcoin to older people or convincing our parents to invest in bitcoin. To me, this is a bad idea because the benefits they get are much less than the risks they face .

But it is confusing when many people try to convince their parents to invest in bitcoin or worse , explain to their parents about bitcoin with the intention of asking their parents for money to invest in bitcoin . Meanwhile, our job is to earn money and take care of our parents, not the other way around, taking their money or putting them at risk . Bitcoin is a good investment but not suitable for everyone because not everyone can bear the risks it brings .

Well if you want bitcoin no one can stop even your parents, because you can hide it for everyone and no one will detect that you have it if you store it in a safe place with a safe password or phase key,you are also right that bitcoin investment is good if we can just hold for a long time, working is not bad but it will never give you huge profit if you only have a work that will give a minimum salary it is not enough for a daily needs expenses so bitcoin is the key just believe on it and have Patience.

Starting at a young age is indeed a good thing, although it's hard to miss out on crypto seeing that the whole world has evolved so greatly that the youth are all indulge in crypto related stuffs one way or the other especially those in the western world. I have also started something for my boys although there are still very small but I am the one doing the savings and the goal is when they get to the right age I know there must have being well exposed to Bitcoin that telling or showing them about it won't be any hassle for me. I believe saving for the young or saving at a young age is key part of knowing someone who has big ideas and dreams.

Really glad to see your interest in Bitcoin but if you live with your parents then you will invest in Bitcoin with their permission. Try to convince your parents well, most likely if you convince them well they will listen to you and help you enough to invest in Bitcoin. If you are self-employed and you want to invest a certain portion of your salary in Bitcoin then you can because you probably already have all the knowledge to acquire in investing in Bitcoin. But if you inform your parents and then invest in bitcoins, your parents will have no chance to blame you later.

If you really want to make your life better and you have money to invest in bitcoin and you have tried your possible best to convince your parents and refuse to understand the impact you are trying to bring in to them, and you have your own money, I don’t think it is necessary to wait for their approval before you will invest in bitcoin, since it’s your personal money and not the family money.

However, if you have the knowledge and everything you need to know about bitcoin investment, then seriously, your parents will not blame you at the end of the day because you do the right thing for yourself; moreover, not their money is yours, so even if the investment goes sideways that is not favourable, you won’t bother telling them because you already know they did not support it and you too take the risk on your own.

(...) Maybe this story won’t make sense to everyone, but I want to see if they were right—that without
"Physically demanding jobs" work, there is no money. I believe otherwise, which is why I’m writing this. Let time show. Cool

I don't think anyone is saying that you can't earn good money outside of a physical job.
What people tend to say is you need to put in a lot of work and effort to expect high earnings, which is good advice.
Don't fall into the trap of chasing big returns with little to no work neglecting working on your skills. Even if you're successful and end up with a fortune, you'd be looking at your peers who mastered their professions, while you'd have nothing to show for yourself other than money. That's not the best place to be.
Yes it is heard but mostly on top of the loss and nowadays no one tells the real work and those who invest money get scammed and that's why they don't trust anyone because of no one.  Not paying attention to it.  You also know that hard work and struggle is necessary for any work.  Without it you can't even work, earning money is a distant thing.  If they have money, they should improve themselves by investing in a good place or look at what someone is doing.  And such a thing has corrupted our society.  For those who have expertise and experience in their work, the same work is good, although it gives you less profit.  One day it will turn into good money.

Good to hear that you have an interest in Bitcoin, 18 years old and already invested on it. Being a courageous to try new technologies, i mean new innovations, crypto investments, thats a good sign for potential high returns in a long term investment.

But take note about the security risks, you have to secure your bitcoin to prevent losses and  to be safe from hackers.

This is the right age to step into crypto world, he will earn handsome amount in near future if he invest his capital in right coins on right time. Risks are associated with any type of investment so you have to be courageous to get good profit. Nowadays bitcoin investments are best for short term or long term.

You're right those who convince parents about bitcoin and demand money to invest in bitcoin, it's a really bad idea. We all know Bitcoin is risky so if you want to earn profit by investing in Bitcoin you must hold for long time. If you can't hold for a long time, you may face loss instead of profit. Now if someone takes money from his parents and invests in bitcoins and if his parents ask him to return the money, how can he return the money if he is making a loss on the investment? So it is not mandatory to convince parents about Bitcoin. If you invest with your own income, no one will stop you. So you have to try to earn first and take care of your parents, if you invest your own money, your parents will not stop you.

You should have a long term plan for investing in Bitcoin as short term trading can give you very less amount of profit. Systematic divergence of investments can cause you to miss out on huge profits.

Reading through the posts under this thread, I noticed how everyone is applauding the Op for taking the bold steps by wanting to invest in bitcoins at all costs. It's a good move actually but I like the way you reason. A child of such age should not budden themselves with investment when they are supposed to be serious with their education. Children can be be very influenced and we know how panic investing in crypto can be even for grown up adults. There's no reason to rush investment, it's good to start early though but we shouldn't overlook the consequences too.

The fact that he's trying to seek for parents approval shows that he's still a boy who's under the control of his parents. An adult who who can take decisions for himself doesn't need approval before investing in whatever he has knowledge of and think can yield him profit as long as the money to invest is completely his own. It's very rare to see children of that age independent, they are still under the care of their parents. They also want the best for them but they're being protective knowing that they have no full knowledge of what they're doing yet due to their age.

OP is very young and has good potential in managing everything, has learned to understand Bitcoin at the age of 16 and now at the age of 18 understands crypto and Investment we think he will be able to design all of this well, at this young age by getting a salary and being able to understand investment provides good opportunities and potential for him.

Yes, doing DCA in making his Investment should be the strategy that he will use to organize his Investment, either done every week or every month according to the provisions.

BTCHello, my name is foren00BTC. I learned about Bitcoin when I was 16 years old by Googling on the internet. It piqued my interest, so I delved deeper into the world of cryptocurrency and Bitcoin.

Maybe this story won’t make sense to everyone, but I want to see if they were right—that without
"Physically demanding jobs" work, there is no money. I believe otherwise, which is why I’m writing this. Let time show. Cool

Bye foren00 2024BTC
It's great to see your enthusiasm for bitcoin is really a very good currency and it is possible to earn good profits through investment. Long term investment will give you more returns. If you are over 18 years old then you can invest independently and you have knowledge so risk is less. Parents not supporting not only in your case but in most cases this kind of problem happens because their knowledge about bitcoin is very less. Convince parents well that you are doing good by investing in bitcoin and they will easily support you.

This is a great way to show your parents that Bitcoin is not a scam investment and they will definitely support you. If you put aside only a part of your income (like 30%) and buy some bitcoins every month, in the next 5-6 years you will realize that these small and step-by-step purchases will pay you big profit. But I disagree with ("Physically demanding jobs" work, there is no money). Maybe this statement is true for one person out of 1000. Many of the successful people we know today have had a difficult past and have done difficult "Physically" jobs.
even with this method your parents can dislike Bitcoin but the thing is that anyone who want to invest in Bitcoin should the make a proper research of Bitcoin before the person invest in Bitcoin and if you are convincing someone to invest in Bitcoin let the person know they advantages and disadvantages of Bitcoin investment because there are some persons who come to invest in Bitcoin without knowing the primary things that may contribute to their loss and when there experienced such they will conclude that bitcoin is a scam so that is things that made many people to have such a thought of mind my bitcoin is a scam but when you explain to people very well about Bitcoin they will invest without having a double thought

Not Your Keys, Not Your Bitcoin

Well if you want bitcoin no one can stop even your parents, because you can hide it for everyone and no one will detect that you have it if you store it in a safe place with a safe password or phase key,you are also right that bitcoin investment is good if we can just hold for a long time, working is not bad but it will never give you huge profit if you only have a work that will give a minimum salary it is not enough for a daily needs expenses so bitcoin is the key just believe on it and have Patience.

I'm not sure if there is any coordinated way of storing Bitcoin with a wallet unless you are using Bitcoin on a centralized exchanges that will request you to use a string password and probably an additional 2FA which is not the recommended way to Bitcoin. The best way to safe keep your Bitcoin for long term is though a personal wallet and preferably hardware wallet where you have the way to back up your seed phrase and not password except for encryption of login which something personal for the holder.

At OP don't blame your parents for the things you said, I have accepted that any mistakes that my parent made is because they are in their learning phase and they don't realize early some of the mistakes they made and you might probably get there too one day and understand better about their position. Stay strong and get multiple streams of income as possible and buy some Bitcoin you can afford but don't forget to take care of your need first, that's very important.
