I know a female friend who works from home selling betting tickets for a casino. She has a WhatsApp group where she posts the matches. From what i could see, she also posts the odds, ready-made tickets, and claims her predictions are over 85% accurate.

I haven't tried it yet. But is the scalper business a good one? Can you make it your main job? I didn't ask her how much she earns because it might be rude, but from what she tells me, she started in less than a year. Sometimes she doesn't have many customers buying, which makes her have a more or less profitable week.

No and that's simply because if there's such opportunities almost always the bots will be faster.
If you play gambling and especially sports bets for profit you'll realize that there are many potential methods to make profit with, and especially the more assured ones like scalping for arbitrage etc. are quite popular, but these work mostly in theory. Because in practice the bots will beat you to it and actually you'll start bleeding money left and right before achieving anything. Casinos are aware of such practices and will mostly ban accounts that seem to be operating under these patterns.

Of course now with decentralized platforms these methods have started picking up steam again. But more there than anywhere else too, bots will dominate. If you're a good programmer you could try your hand at decentralized markets where it's harder to get banned too.

I will prefer to by a domain and set up a prediction website instead which people will know that not all my predictions will be correct. All that I need is to make like 70% accurate predictions daily and you will see people coming to check for predictions daily. The site can be monetized with ads.

I have never really dabbled down this path, as it always seemed a bit “much” for me, when it comes to sports betting personally I like to be pretty basic with how I try to make money/ place my bets. What I can say is I call BS on her hitting on over 85% of her bets. Just seems a bit far fetched to me. I mean let’s say she does, over what time period is she referring to ?

Which means you have no knowledge about prediction sites. If you know how to check monthly traffic of each sites, go and check the monthly traffic of free prediction sites.

No. Only what the person will do is to predict some matches and give it to her customers but the customers will pay first before she will give any of them the predictions. This is not just highly risky but it is also just a scam. I do not know how some people will be very foolish to go for something like this.

If that's the case then legally it can't be considered a scam because they can hide them under analysts. Still, we all know it is impossible to predict the future so if she is saying this team is going to win and getting paid for that then its ethically wrong, she can present the stats and let them to choose based on what it is which more seems to be logical and ethical too instead of false promising such as win.

This is a lie, and if it did happen, it likely wouldn't last long. For someone to be profitable in sports betting, they only need a win rate of 52.5%. She claimed to have an 85% win rate, which I think is too good to be true, and we know what usually follows such claims. Also, if we analyze this, if she could really achieve such a high winning percentage, why wouldn't she bet on herself and make herself rich? That way, only a few people would know the secret, and bookies wouldn't be able to find out or limit her. I've read some articles about profitable professional sports bettors, but none of them have an average win rate of 85%, so I don't believe it.

How long you have been friends? If it was a long time already and she can also ask you sensitive questions sometimes then I think it's fine to also ask her if how much she earns. That should help you decide better if you will also go for it or not. You ask if you can make it as your main job?

I think it depends on the earnings. If it pays well then why not? Also it depends if how much time we can spend on it but you said your friend is on her phone 24 hours a day and barely sleeps. Well, I guess that obviously tells it.

A business is like that that not all times we can have a good number of customers but there are also times that the opposite thing can happen. If not then that must not be worth it. I want to ask a question. Does your friend bet on her own predictions?

Because his accuracy is I think great. If it was legit she can win at most times and that still can earn her a decent profit even if there are times that he can only get a few number of customers. If it's not legit then she won't be betting at it and it can be disappointing on those who will avail it, though I think it's also normal that a business can sometimes do such unethical acts only to attract a customer.

Well as far as am concerned, I cannot buy betting tickets booked by another person,  no matter the percentage of accuracy  they say it is. The fact remains  that gambling is a game of luck, and if the person making the prediction is actually that accurate with their predictions, I don't think they'll be putting much effort to get someone to buy their tickets besides,  they should be making huge wins from their 85% accuracy tickets. There are several persons on telegram who also claims they give sure odds but at the end some of their  predictions goes  sideways. In as much as one can loss a bet due to a 1.01 odd, it shows  that nothing is certain when it comes to gambling.

Most predictions are usually not accurate as you may think and having 85% accuracy like she said I'm not sure about that but probably she's doing it cause she wants to sell the betting tickets easily and get paid as well  but if what she claims to be accurate is really true one have to give a try to see the outcome.

But if the odds and predictions don't turn out has she said it'll definitely be a huge loss to her customers that have has put so much faith in the predictions.for me I don't like involving myself in such situations so I don't end up in regrets and trying to make this scalper business as a main job it's a no for me,tho I know alot of people find themselves doing odd jobs that require them to earn money but not this seriously I don't think there's much to earn from it

OK, now I am gonna be sincere and say that this is another dimension to or of betting scam I really never knew existed at all, I mean what the f**k 🤦, no wonder when I was still in some sports betting groups on telegram, many a times the admin will give out some free games predictions, most of us will bet on the game, and at the end of the day, some will win while others will lose.

It's one of the oldest tricks in the book about tipsters, they've copied this from early scams with stocks, back in the 20s and 30s when everyone was eager to invest. Now with the internet and anonymity behind a telegram account, you don't even need to run a single instance of this, you can have them ready one after the other so by the time you finally flop and nobody believes you anymore the other is in full swing.

What the admin used to do was tell us that there is a new game available, and that as many that are interested to bet on it, should indicate it and he will send the prediction as private message to the persons, majority of the time, the group is always locked possibly because he doesn't want who suspect his activities to come forward to complain about it and possibly warn other.

Which is a bit stupid, isn't it?
I mean who stops you when you find out the tip to spread it in a 200k + channel? 

The only way to actually trust someone on tips is to follow them on a website that publishes their entire history, on professionally made ones you can see everything. Not that I recommend, just an example:

Look at this guy's history, he's clearly in profit but you can see, everyone has bad moments, 4 months in green and then 10% loss in August.


I did make some $ following a guy here but he started pissing me off by betting only on 5 and 6 grade handicap races that I just hate.

For clarity I would also want to know if there is any compensation or terms concerning sold bet tickets that didn't turn up the way it should because no one is perfect and game might change anytime favouring the opposite selected options. So in cases like this do they get refund or risk is at gamblers stake and they are responsible for for their actions as usual? The reason I'm curious to know is because, their are deliberate scam prediction platform all around who might not even give you any booked ticket after subscription. Though this might be genuine but let's be careful with the things we trust our money to

You don't have to conclude that you can not buy a ticket that is booked by someone else because what if the ticket most time do come out with hood results. You don't just have to conclude without you understanding it and how it works. Gambling is quite different at different location. It might look absurd to you but others might find it very interesting and a good way to make money without making any prediction yourself. Once it is going to be positive, I would not waste time and try my luck on it. We all are interested in results and that is why many people would want to opt out if they have not seen any result so far.

As long as it is profitable for the casino to make these predictions and there are interested leads, then the woman's pay is kind of guaranteed, although she told me that she has received very little in some slow weeks, but she must know for herself whether it is worth it in the end.

One week she told me that she only earned $20 in a week, thank goodness she has a husband to help her, while this job is only serving to supplement the family's income, while she still has chances to earn more in the future, it is the investment and a decision that is only up to her to make, accepting the risks.

Finding a job that can be done from your computer at home is really challenging here in the region, I don't know if it is because of the culture or the low number of qualified professionals, but what I see are employees in traditional forms of employment.
