Hi there.

Please, don't download the old versions. The new one should be released today, i'm here making last preparations.

To late - sorry

Just finished 1.0.7
23 minutes to DL BlockChain and it just started a Stake

I'll be watching for the next release

edit - can you put the ver. info in the files title - nice to have that
Also - when you do updates, can you list what you fixed - the community would really like to see that

ty :-)

Ok, just wait a while

Hello !
When version 1.0.8 will be released ?

Hello!

We are releasing it this weekend.

Hello again !
Is the version 1.0.8 released ??

No, we've just found one more thing to improve. But we've been working for more than 30 hours for now so we're gonna release it very soon.

Noticed my wallet acting up yesterday upon checking for a deposit from SwissCex I initiated 2 days ago.  The deposit never came and my wallet was "out of sync" yesterday.  Restarted it and it appeared to be staking so thought all was good.  Sent an inquiry to SwissCex about not getting my deposit, they replied saying the problem was on my end.  Restarted my wallet after getting this message and it was again not syncing so am not sure what happened, but I just deleted the blockchain and am re-downloading.

Hopefully my missing KSC shows up after the re-sync.

Well, I'm not sure what the hell is going on with my wallet now but it is messed up pretty good!  After re-syncing, I was still not showing the deposit from SwissCex and the wallet just keeps hanging with every action I take with it.......usually freezes for a bout 30 seconds and then continues.

Shit.....the missing KSC just showed up in the wallet, still shows out of sync and all coins earned from staking are gone from the 13th till now.  Something is definitely still amiss and buggy with the wallet........sucks too as it was so nice to see the staking working so well the past week or so, then to find out it was really earning the stakes at all:-(

Hello!

Dont worry, if the bug is found we will fix it. And as you may know you won't lose your rewards anyway. Please let me know which block is the last in your wallet now?

Oh no worries bud, wasn't really worried about the loss of staking coins as I figured it would make up for it with the coinage.  Just mentioning how nice it was to see the staking working so well, then poof you realized it was staking as it seemed.  Glad to see my KSC from SwissCex come through.

After numerous freezes it seems to be staking again and has already made up for the last several days it appeared to be staking.  Last block showing in my wallet now is 108,879.

We did some necessary improvements in 1.0.8 & will add more nodes today. It seems that we are satisfied with the final version so 1.0.8 Windows update will be released by acryptopolis around 8 pm (utc). I hope youll be impressed Smiley

Let's update:

https://github.com/kashmircoin/kashmircoin/blob/master/release/kashmircoin-update. exe (remove space before "exe").

Changes:

1. New Built-in Browser:

You can visit any KSC-related site using our browser. Use "Back", "Refresh" and "Home" buttons to navigate. Also, you can copy any link by right-clicking on it or open it in your default browser using context menu.

2. Auto-update system:

To update your wallet you only need to click on your OS icon (News/Info) menu. After that the new release will be downloaded and if you choose "Update now" option, the rest will be done automatically. You don't need to visit Bitcointalk to find the update link anymore.

3. "Import Blockchain" installer option:

Now KSC Installer has built-in "Import Blockchain" option, so you don't need to spend your time on resyncing your wallet, blockchain will be imported to your %APPDATA% folder automatically.

4. Auto-rescan installer option:

If you don't uncheck "Run Kashmircoin" option at the end of installation, your wallet will be rescanned automatically (it may take 5-10 minutes).

5. Auto-backup installer option:

If you don't uncheck "Import Blockchain" during the installation, installer creates the copy of your "wallet.dat" file in your "%APPDATA%/Backup" folder.

6. "Rescan Wallet" shortcut added (program path). In case if you want to rescan your wallet.

7. New checkpoints added.

8. New "Checkpoint MasterPubKey" added.

9. Statistics page slightly changed.

10. Minor bug fixes.

I will add some pics here. Mac and Linux releases will be added too.

How to update: just run downloaded file.

Am I the first:-)

Well, let me at least be the first to say........GREAT JOB on the new wallet!!!

Like the stats page, my video config on my pc made some of the text unviewable previously, now it displays nice and perfect.

I went ahead and deleted everything in my roaming folder except my wallet.dat before I upgraded.  I have to say the re-download of the blockchain was INCREDIBLY fast......most impressive!

Web browser is cool......good job on that as well.

It feels like new life has sprung into KSC:-)

Thanks man!

We are creating the most user-friendly coin, so we add these auto- functions. We don't like the things like "to use our program please install this, run that etc." Smiley
There will be more interesting things in the next releases.

Mangled Blue, we couldn't add the version info in the filename (auto-update function is based on this filename), but we'll change it in the next 1 or 2 releases. Also we plan to add built-in update notifications.

Oh no, it was never a bug to begin with man.....I have to deal with this with some programs because of my personal font and graphics settings in Windows.  I have a big monitor that I like to run at full resolution so pump up my display settings to 125%, this cuts text off in windows although rarely.  Definitely wasn't the wallet, am sure you have noticed I usually one of the first to report a problem if I see one:-)

You guys are doing a bang up job man, nothing but great things to say but is I see anything weird I'll definitely let ya know!  Staking has been running perfect on the latest wallet, haven't seen a single hangup or issue to be honest.

Congrats to everyone here!  Smiley

I have just created a new version with some auto-update and browser mprovements, so I will ask you to update tomorrow, Mac wallet should be released tomorrow too. And maybe Linux Smiley After that we will announce our update in Twitter. And as I promised before we'll start working on Android.
Please, let us know your opinion about our wallet. Test the browser, it's gonna be very important part of the wallet (we have an idea of creating special KSC-Network for it).

Yeah man, I would like some info on how that works and why you suggest doing that.  I can only assume it is due to the many micro transactions coming in from staking and the endless "age" of coins you would eventually have?

I would never have thought to do this but I guess it makes sense and one should probably do with every POS coin then.  Are you currently doing this with all of your POS coins?  How exactly do you do this, I assume all from the same wallet but send your total coin count to a single address within your wallet?

I've heard others suggest splitting your total coins into more chunks when you do it, like 25% to 4 different addresses but didn't understand the logic in it so never messed with it.

Convo started:-)
