In fairness, the tournament was organized really quickly. I actually registered on your platform because of this freeroll for exclusive Bitcointalk members. But I think since the tournament lobby is visible to existing users of your platform, they might search for the password you posted publicly which is fine, but it kind of affects the exclusive for Bitcointalk members aspect. But it's okay, no worries. Anyway thanks for doing my suggestion. I hope many bitcointalk member register on your site because of this. lol
To make it more exclusive, they should give the password in a private way and maybe they should make the registration more exclusive by posting username in the games and round thread. Once the free roll is going to start, they can send a pm (password) to those who are posting their username, so it will minimize the chance of registration outside from this forum. However, since it is already posted then they can let it go first to know how it works, hopefully there will be many users who are willing to participate. Unfortunately the freeroll will start on 14 at 7am in my Timezone which is on Monday, a day when most people in my country start a new week with our daily activities (working), so I cant participate in this freeroll.

I didn’t know about your website here on bitcointalk. I just found out now, even though you’ve had a post here since August 2024. It really makes difference when there’s an exclusive promotion bitcointalk thread—the project gets a lot more visibility. Hope you can run freerolls for bitcointalk members. Anyway, in case you're not familiar with the games and rounds board, you can post exclusive promotions, giveaways or any kind of activity that invites users to try out your platform like an exclusive freeroll for Bitcointalk members. You can check out the Games and Rounds board here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=71.0Wow I did not know this! Thank you so much for letting me know! I just set up a $100 Freeroll tournament for Bitcointalk members only. Great idea!! https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5537775.0In fairness, the tournament was organized really quickly. To make it more exclusive, they should give the password in a private way and maybe they should make the registration more exclusive by posting username in the games and round thread. True, this is how it should be if they are claiming it bitcointalk exclusive freeroll. I mean, what is stopping someone from creating 20 accounts with different IPs and absolutely demolishing the tournament? I have seen it happen many times. IMO, fairness must be the utmost priority for any Poker platform, and these small things show the level of diligence. You can argue that it is free money, NO, it is not. Members will invest focus and time in order to play, and that must need to be respected. BTW please answer the question below. 1.) Which third-party test lab has certified your RnG? I am not seeing any certification of fair RnG on your site. In case I missed please correct me. 2.) How do we know that there is no possibilty of superusers (players who can see other's cards) in your platform?

I am not seeing any certification of fair RnG on your site. In case I missed please correct me. 2.) How do we know that there is no possibilty of superusers (players who can see other's cards) in your platform? Hi! Thank you for the questions! We'll consider the one-time password feature! It's a great idea. Regarding multi-account players, we block the same IP to participate in the same tournament as a basic measure. We also built an algorithm that recognizes unnatural patterns, which automatically and temporarily blocks user's play and withdrawal. And in the future for the freeroll game only, we will be integrating one-time face recognition for the uniqueness of users as many other poker sites do. You're correct that fairness is the utmost priority for poker sites. You can read about our approach via the links: https://medium.com/@basepoker/a-new-approach-to-online-poker-randomness-fed44ad905cahttps://medium.com/@basepoker/understanding-randomness-part-1-overview-d00b43ac8f4cBasically we use the Hashchain model to have immutability of daily seed, which is combined with user's own player seed to generate the randomness. If you consensually get opponents player seed, which is editable at will, you can collectively verify the hands a day later when the daily seed is revealed. We built this approach because it allows users to verify the integrity of the system AND it does not violate user's privacy of hands. Answers to your other questions: 1. We got iTechLabs certification. We just haven't put it up on the website as we're renewing the landing page. Here's the official iTechlabs certificate link: https://www.itechlabs.com/certificates/BaseTechnologies/RNG_Certificate_UK_BaseTechnologies_22Jan25.pdf2. It is technically impossible to prove that a superuser account cannot exist—not on our site, nor on any other poker site in the world. Anyone claiming they can prove such a thing is either naive or lying. That’s just the truth. But I'll tell you a few things why running superusers makes absolutely no sense. Poker players are not easy to fool. If there were a superuser, it wouldn’t go unnoticed. Patterns would emerge. Data would be tracked. At our site, anyone can spectate games freely—even without signing up. This means that every hand is out in the open for public scrutiny. Indexing tools, hand history loggers, and third-party analysis tools can observe everything. There’s no behind-the-curtain play. We want people watching. Transparency is the key. Also the incentives don't match. A proper poker platform takes years to build. We're talking full-time dev teams, security audits, player ecosystems, branding, customer support, liquidity partnerships—the list goes on. It’s a multi-million dollar operation. All of that would be obliterated overnight if even one credible superuser incident occurred. Simply put, it makes zero business sense to run a superuser scam. That’s why I strongly advise people to avoid white-label poker rooms. These are platforms operated by unknown third parties who didn’t build the tech themselves—and often can’t even audit it. They have much less to lose, and their incentives aren’t always aligned with long-term trust. Poker sites make money from rake, not from players losing. The long-term expected value of a healthy poker site comes from high-volume, competitive games. If players feel cheated, they stop playing. That kills liquidity. No players → no games → no rake → no revenue. Also running superusers is a legal suicide if proven. Hope I answered your questions adequately. Feel free to ask me more questions! I'll be happy to address! Also I'll be learning new things from them!!

I have been banned twice for asking such questions publicly to two different poker platforms (they still have empty tables). I must say that this is the first time I have heard a practical answer from a poker platform. Thanks a lot for taking my questions as they are intended and not getting offended. I sincerly hope that you deliver what you promise. Good to see you answering genuine questions and taking feedback quickly. Poker is recently gaining a lot of attraction in this forum (I wonder if I have also contributed a very, very small part ) and probably you will take to the next level with some community-specific events/leagues. Honest reviews and feedback from reputed members here will surely help your project gain momentum.

Honest reviews and feedback from reputed members here will surely help your project gain momentum. Banning for asking a legitimate question is insane... We are still very early stage of the development, and there are unlimited amount of works to do but our model is designed for crypto people who are tech-savvy and don't blindly trust. Lots of poker operators have told me that no one cares about anything but liquidity, but I think it's time to raise the bar. For example, randomness audit is not enough because it's essentially relying on a 3rd party auditor who gets paid by the one that's being audited. We needed a better way for players themselves to verify the immutability and randomness while not sacrificing their hand history being public. Feel free to give us any recommendation or feedback! We'll be happy to review and integrate!

Unfortunately, I missed this tournament. Why was the prize not exactly $100 (it is showing $93.7)? Also, the number of players was 113 lol. Clearly, it was not BitcoinTalk exclusive freeroll (most likely infested with multi-account abusers). This is exactly what members here were suggesting: for you to deliver the password in PMs. Anyway, hopefully, you will take care of these things in the next forum-exclusive freeroll. Also, make some barrier to entry like number of posts before the freeroll. I wish you the best of luck with your brand.

It seems I missed a nice & constructive discussion, and I missed an interesting tournament. I don't really feel bad about the tournament, it wasn't exactly "exclusive", after all. I read some nice things, but maybe a little late... that's why good marketing and community engagement are so important. You have gotten some great advice from forum members, and be sure to browse the forum and see how others are doing it. Whether in your own organization or with the help of a forum member (if you browse poker threads, some usernames will surely stand out), many great things can be organized. Good luck!

That's a huge number of participants for a $100 free roll, I think there are some people who participate with bunch of alts because if it was real bitcointalk exclusive freeroll, I believe the number of participants wont be even half of those 100+. If they want to have another exclusive bitcointalk free roll, they should make a better filter so it will be real exclusive for bitcointalk users only. Or even better if they create a poker with entry fee like $5-$10 with bigger prize pool, it may reduce the possibility of abusers to create bunch of alt accounts for their own benefit.

You're lucky you didn't join the tournament. If you had joined the tournament, I'm sure you would have been furious. It's annoying to wait for some people to AFK and just fold repeatedly. This is exactly what members here were suggesting: for you to deliver the password in PMs.
Or even better if they create a poker with entry fee like $5-$10 with bigger prize pool, it may reduce the possibility of abusers to create bunch of alt accounts for their own benefit. I agree if every participants should have a $5/$10 buy in requirement and include PoA like other tournaments. That would be great and fairer.

I have my own reasons to be furious, It is very hard to see the obvious wrong and stay silent. I am sure any other serious poker player would have been pointed out this if not me. I care about fair play the most; without it, nothing works. I personally would choose to stop an event as a host if I found that the interests of genuine and honest players are at stake because of cheaters. I hate the argument when platforms tell you that it is just a freeroll, so what? There has to be a value for the time, focus, and energy wasted by so many genuine players because of the platform's leniency. Having said that, most of the time, my suggestions are welcomed, but there are exceptions as well. I don't care after a certain point and detach myself from that platform. I believe the number of participants wont be even half of those 100+.
Not above 30 for sure, and if you remove sitout players, this will fall under 20. It seems I missed a nice & constructive discussion, and I missed an interesting tournament.
Many more interesting conversations and tournaments are about to come. . I hope you will be there . Again, you are right; you have missed some interesting tournaments (not this one though )

I also wasn’t able to join your last freeroll because I attended my child’s moving-up ceremony.
Anyway, one good thing about BasePoker is they send an email when the tournament is about to start—unlike other online poker sites I know, where you have to set your own alarm. lol I will also give feedback once I successfully participate this next freeroll.
I checked the winners on last freeroll exclusive for bitcointalk members and I didn’t recognize anyone from Bitcointalk. As for the next tournament posted here on Bitcointalk, it looks good since the title doesn’t mention Bitcointalk. Is this latest one you posted in the thread still exclusive for bitcointalk?

I would advise you guys to not post the password public. If you do that the "bitcointalk exclusive" becomes a free for all pretty quick. 113 entries on the last freeroll tells this story very well because I honestly believe there aren't more than maybe 30-40 poker players here. Other freerolls here that pay better have lower attendance so yeah, it's pretty obvious.
Anyway, good luck for your project. I always wonder why there aren't more crypto poker sites around!

Yeah, I think it is ok if it is not Bitcointalk exclusive. But again, there are immense benefits for a new poker platform from forum-exclusive community tournaments. This creates a constant organic buzz around the platform. And everyone knows the SEO powers of this wonderful forum. I have seen many new platforms starting freeolls to all for anyone for months, and still have empty cash tables. It might sound counterintuitive, but in starting, less is more. It is hell cheap than running a signature campaign here for new platforms with a limited budget.
my child’s moving-up ceremony.
My best wishes. Congrats.

Hi! I see you registered the tournament. Good luck with you game! This tournament is not Bitcointalk exclusive.
Thank you for the encouraging words! Yes, I agree Bitcointalk exclusive might not have enough players. I would advise you guys to not post the password public.
Congrats. I'm pretty new to Bitcointalk threading. Learning as i go!
The tournament above is canceled due to some dumbass tried to exploit Someone created over 70 accounts using Metamask and registered the tournament using 70 different VPN locations. I apology for the cancellation. We'll think of a better way to host freeroll tournaments!

I'm not surprised at all because I do even think the same thing also happened on your first freeroll, you will have no more than 50 real players if it was real bitcointalk exclusive freeroll. As suggested before, if you are willing to have exclusive bitcointalk freeroll, you can ask bitcointalk users to post their username in your site and it will be better if you can add them into the freeroll manually so password is not needed. Be sure to have other requirement such as "newbie account is not allowed" to avoid other multi accounts attempt by using newbie accounts.

I apology for the cancellation. We'll think of a better way to host freeroll tournaments! Obviously it meant to happen. If you want my assistance then don't hesitate to contact me. I am a campaign manager on Bitcointalk and you can see my portfolio. I can certainly help you to conduct such tournaments with minimizing abuses. We can discuss about different marketing ideas together too. Besides, it seems I became a regular in your platform LOL

I know there are "very persistent lunatics", but this one is the winner. This is a great example for everyone... someone out there is willing to do this for $100, what do you think they are willing to do for a lot more money? In any case, you don't have to think too much, hire a good manager... and if you want to run tournaments yourself, there's a solution for that too, and it's pretty simple: Games & rounds, only junior members and above can play, or with minimum merits. Good luck.

Besides, it seems I became a regular in your platform LOL Athough, I have already messgaed you regarding mutually conducting poker tournaments and offering my services free of cost (if you conduct poker events exclusive to this forum) In this case I second the suggestion of @AB de Royse777. You should collaborate with him, as he has immense experience and an impeccable track record of conducting poker events professionally. His love for the game is also a plus factor. In any case, you will need a reputable member of this community to take forward your poker brand, if not him choose any reputable campaign manager, all are equally good but Royse has a clear advantage when it comes to poker related stuff. I sincerely hope to see some forum exclusive big prizemoney tournaments. Good luck.
