I don't think that there will be enough time for Casimero to unified the super bantamweight division. First, he is getting older already, so there is wear and tear and his punch output might not be the same when he is still in his prime dominating the bantamweight division. Second, there are a lot of good boxers and have the potential to become a champion if Inoue goes up in weight. So we don't know if Casimero can match with this big punchers as well to even win one of the belts. So the road for Casimero to be a champion again is closing out or getting thinner by the year. He is struggling and we don't know if he can keep up with the younger guys at 122 lbs and again, he hasn't had that one fight in this division that impresses us all.
Inoue did not spend much time becoming an undisputed champion in the super bantamweight division. If I'm not mistaken, it only took him two fights to achieve this. First, he fought Fulton, who was the champion at the time and came to Japan for the fight. Then, Inoue fought Marlon Tapales in the undisputed championship match. If Casimero follows a similar path, he could achieve the same kind success in this division.

Inoue could have moved up after becoming the undisputed champion, but he chose to stay and defend his title, fighting two more boxers: Luis Nery and, most recently, TJ Doheny.

There's rumor say that he only pick those fights which he have huge chance to win. Then some boxing fans is not impressed on his win especially if he fight only in Japan. There's a rumor that next year Inoue will fight in US. But until there's no clear information or deal towards this plan I guess it will remain a rumor knowing Inoue seems like don't want to go outside Japan.

But if he really allow to make it happen for sure lots of people would able to watch his fight since he's coming out on his comfort zone is one awaited events of boxing fans and lots people want to see if he perform the same even if he's not in his country. There's nothing left to defeat on his current division which is beneficial to them. So what Inoue provably do is he will go up and defeat his opponents then dominate again.

I doubt that Inoue is cherry picking though, those fighters are the best in his division and that's why he is fighting them. It looks like cherry picking because of how he dominates the fight, but we can't do anything about it.

But if he really allow to make it happen for sure lots of people would able to watch his fight since he's coming out on his comfort zone is one awaited events of boxing fans and lots people want to see if he perform the same even if he's not in his country. He had clean up the division, no more challenge for him, maybe except just one more fight at the end of the year and that is against Sam Goodman. And after that, everyone in the US, the fans are very excited to see him going there and fight. As who's the opponent? We really don't know. But if I'm not mistaken, there are a lot of 126 lbs under the stable of Top Rank that Inoue can fight in the US.

There’s a lot to revive in Casimero’s career, and it will start with winning this fight. Otherwise, he might not get another chance. As we continue to hype the Inoue vs. Casimero fight, people will gradually become convinced that these two may not face each other in the future. While Inoue continues to enjoy his success, Casimero struggles to meet fans’ expectations despite his many wins.

I can't agree with you more on this mate, Casimero needs to win this fight to somewhat revive his career, win convincingly and perhaps he could land a championship fight next but a fight with Inoue is a slim possibility as Inoue has its own plan and Casimero's name was not on it.

Casimero’s ranking needs to improve for him to get a championship fight. For that to happen soon, Inoue would have to leave the division and move up, creating vacancies for fighters like Casimero to compete for a title. If Casimero really wants to retire as a champion and prove his doubters wrong, he needs to win all the belts and become an undisputed champion. Maybe, if Inoue struggles in the higher division, he might come back and fight Casimero as a challenger. I think it’s possible, but the chances are slim since Casimero isn’t getting any younger.

You are correct, only 2 fights for him to unify the belts at 122 lbs, thus he becomes the second boxer to unify two divisions, first is Crawford at 140-147 lbs, and then Inoue at 118-122 lbs. I think for him staying for at least 1 fight is due to the fact that he had a year ender fight. Usually this is tradition for Japanese boxers to have 1 fight before the end of the year for their fans. And since he is the cash cow and Japan's top boxers, it's just so fitting for him to have that fight. And if you recall as well, Floyd Mayweather started his exhibition journey in Japan fighting at the end of the year against Tenshin Nasukawa.

And if Inoue move up to 126 lbs, and become a undisputed champion, he will be the first one to do that. Although I would say that going up in weight and winning 8 division belt is harder to do and only Manny Pacquiao achieved that and it's a record that is hard to touch.

Casimero has indeed rested for time that can be said to be not short, but he seems to maintain his stamina while deciding to rest, now the fight is only about 1 month left and that can be used to recover and prepare for Casimero.
Both fighters also have an age difference of around 8 years and this is one of the problems that Casimero must overcome considering that Sanchez will be superior in stamina, but Casimero is more experienced and he can take advantage of every condition to take advantage of Sanchez weaknesses.

I would say that this might be his last chance to prove to us that he still has that killer instinct left in him, and he should win by KO. However, I'm already guessing what people will say after this fight, even if it ends in a KO win for Casimero. They might claim that his opponent wasn’t a quality fighter, which is why he won easily. I think the same goes for Inoue, who just recently beat his opponent, and fans didn’t get excited watching it.

He is in his mid-35 so the killer instinct in him might be gone, or slowly getting little by little as we all know that in this sports, when you age, if will really affect your performance. And so far when Casimero moves to 122 lbs, he hasn't win by knockout.

So I will agree, the window is closing and so this could be his last time to prove us that he can win via knockout and that he is still somewhat in his prime. Otherwise, if he shows nothing here in this fight, against a fighter that majority thinks he can knockout, then it might be over for him or at least he is no longer in his prime.
He's currently out of shape and his last fight is kinda disappointing since many people has not satisfied with the performance he show. That means he is totally declining and that's not good for his career.

But this match against Sanchez maybe a deciding factor if he still have gas left to continue or he need to retire since if he lost against Sanchez for sure no boxing promoter will give him a big fight. That's why he need to perform more better compare to his last fight since he's so awful at that time and its like he's no stamina to continue which is common problem with Casimero.

Yes, and that is what I'm trying to say, at his age, it looks like he is on the decline as his fight in 122 lbs are not that impressive as per standard of Casimero's caliber. We still want to see him cracking his opponents and then putting them in the canvass for good.

So I guess we need to accept that fact that he might not be the same fighter. Although he chances are good against Sanchez, but against a rated boxer in this division, Casimero might have a hard time and who knows, he himself might end up in the canvass.

We can only conclude if he loses against a rated boxer. In the current situation, we can't say that because Casimero hasn't lost since he moved up to the current division. His wins might not impress us, but if he's given a chance to fight a champion, we might see him upset a favorite boxer like Inoue.

The discussion now is that Inoue is moving up, and Casimero might not have a chance to fight him. Despite that, many still want a Casimero vs. Inoue fight to happen. I think this isn't about whether he deserves it or not because, for sure, this fight will generate money. After all, boxing's primary purpose is business.

If Casimero wont really be making up those fights or trying out to go in level on what Inoue is achieving now then there's no way for this fight to happen. I dont know on why people are really that pushing this fight
on which it is really just that too obvious that Casimero wont stand up a chance against Inoue frankly speaking. When it comes to technical, speed and power then we could be able to tell on whose the one
does have that advantage on which there's no way that Casimero would be able to have that chance. Now on this upcoming October against Saul then i cant even be sure that he would be able to beat him up easily.
For those Casimero fans out there, if this one turns out to be a loss of him then its better to stop on having those kind of hopes about beating up Inoue.  Cheesy

A bit off topic on here, i do see tons of reels this Casimero is really just that keeps on  taunting up Inoue as if he had that capability on beating him up. All of those words
but not really that totally scary when inside the ring. The only i could obviously say or tell about Casimero's weakness is on that very short stamina.

I’m a Filipino but I hate Casimero attitude considering the downfall of his career due to his inactivity. He is more active on taunting rather than his boxing career because he is so full of pride even though he still didn’t beat Naoya.

I started to hate this guy when he wish to lose fellow boxer Tapales against Naoya just to bpast that he is the only one who can beat Naoya. On this match, I will go for Sanchez since Casimero training is not that intense due to his bad life style during his inactivity.

His previous match already show hint on what he is capable now.

I mean, that is the only thing that he has right now, he lost his belt because he couldn't pass the weigh-in and in result Inoue's camp lost interest on fighting him. to be honest if he really wanted to fight Inoue he would do everything to rise again and force Inoue's camp to notice him but base on what he was doing it looks like he only wants to taunt Inoue to stay relevant.

I started to hate this guy when he wish to lose fellow boxer Tapales against Naoya just to bpast that he is the only one who can beat Naoya.
I must have missed this or forgotten about it, I only remember him bragging about easily winning by betting on Inoue.

I will go for Sanchez since Casimero training is not that intense due to his bad life style during his inactivity.
I am curious how Sanchez will fare against Casimero, I mean despite Casimero's inactivity he probably still has power on his punches.

Knowing that Casimero has been on hiatus for a year is unexpected. At least this would be a test for the fighters to see how they would do in the fight. I think Sanchez is trying to make a name for himself and show Casimero that he is still in the game.

I think Sanchez can pull it off, knowing he has the determination and youth to pull off an upset.

I think Sanchez can pull it off, knowing he has the determination and youth to pull off an upset.

If upset will happen on this match, the boxing career of Casimero will now be questionable. A lot of his supporters here are rooting for him as they are always bringing up the topic of facing with Inoue. And if upset will indeed be the results, would be hard for the Casimero's team to find a good fight, so he should really has the motivation to win this no matter what.

This is what Casimero's supporters are aiming long time ago, to face Inoue. However, the circumstances are slippery for Casimero and it seems that Inoue is already far from Casimero's reach. He has a lot of work to do to catch up on Inoue's status.

Actually, it's legitimate because Casimero built his identity as an arrogant person, fighting Sanchez is a good move, many predict that if he wins the match (which will probably happen in October) then he will challenge Naoya to fight in the ring.

What Casimero needs and must do now is just prepare himself as best as he can because defeat in this match will make it difficult for him to gain the confidence to challenge Naoya later.

Casimero always challenges Inoue, but the big question is whether Inoue will accept the challenge. We know that Inoue is already at a high level, and the only way Casimero would be able to fight him is if he becomes a mandatory opponent, which, based on his current standing, he isn't qualified for yet.

What Casimero needs and must do now is just prepare himself as best as he can because defeat in this match will make it difficult for him to gain the confidence to challenge Naoya later.
I'm sure he is prepared for the upcoming fight, though he doesn't seem to be in his usual peak shape. Still, I believe he will win, but as to how, I'm not entirely sure.

Have you guys seen the latest video of Casimero? He looks fit and seems like he's already 100% ready to beat Sanchez. He even guarantees that he'll knock Sanchez out, so I'm looking forward to seeing him finally get an impressive win. And as usual, whenever he talks, he brings up Inoue, even criticizing him for fighting an older boxer, calling TJ Doheny the father of Paul Butler—what an insane joke!

He bring those critics most probably because he is running out of time in the hopes of facing Inoue.
I starting to lose my hopes for the fight to even happen, based on the last fight he had against Oguni. I mean the Japanese guy haven't fought for like 3 years.
Well, let's see if Casimero is now really in good shape and I am also hoping he improved his stamina, and last but definitely the least, he'd better knock his opponent cold under 6 rounds (the will consider a great comeback performance), otherwise Inoue won't even bother to turn his head against him lol.

if Casimero has any hope of getting a fight against Naoya Inoue, he will have to win impressively by knockout against this opponent who is coming up in weight.

If Casimero could knockout Saul Sanchez then the talks of him fighting Inoue in the future will be back again but with his recent performance i doubt he could deliver an impressive performance against a former title contender considering that Casimero has been out of the ring for almost a year, ring rust may be a factor here.

I think Saul Sanchez will win there, because Casimiro is just arrogant in the field of the boxing industry. Yes, that's my compatriot, but I don't like the fighting skills he does when he's on
top of the boxing ring.

Everything he says during his interview is very different when he is in an actual fight in the boxing ring, which is in agreement with my observation of his previous fights.

He is always very fit though, as he trains a lot, but lately it didn't translate to anything in the ring, he hasn't had a impressive win not like before when he can really put someone in the canvass with his power, but not in 122 lbs.

So I understand the hate of some of the fans here, even his Filipino compatriot as we haven't seen anyone as arrogant and brandish of a Filipino boxer. And up to this day, he still taunts Inoue and trash talking any fighter. I'm just thinking that if he loses to Saul Sanchez by a knockout, he could be the Broner when Maidana beat him and he was not the same before. And if that happens, at Casimero's age, I doubt that he can bring back the time and became a world champion.

That's how he sell his fight. He need to be arrogant or cocky so that people will be triggered and have some reason to watch their fight. If he act as normal person and both of them will not create any noise on their upcoming fight also for theirselves then eventually there's huge chance that people might not notice on  that they have schedule fight to happen.

I don't know if Casimero already fix his stamina issue and if he remain careless then those kind of problem will still occur then provably that Sanchez could take advantage with this situation and make Casimero tired then get a huge chance to win. But also this is not easy task Casimero is well known strong opponent and for sure we cannot see an easy fight for Sanchez nor even say that he has great chance to win.

This is new, Casimero is becoming an undercard now, which shows that his career might be going downhill. But it’s okay as long as he shows that he still has some fire left in him. As for Inoue, it seems like Casimero won't stop challenging him, and he's getting more attention because of it. He has a point, though, because they have some unfinished business in the past. There was a chance for the fight to happen, but it didn’t push through.

Casimero definitely wants to prove something. Maybe he just really wants to fight Inoue. Shouldn't we be happy that there's a Filipino willing to face the Japanese champion, while other boxers are avoiding Inoue?

John Riel Casimero vs. Saul Sanchez - October 13
I often watch Casimero and Sanchez in the ring, both in my assessment of Casimero and Sanchez have advantages and disadvantages, I also wonder why they have to fight 10 rounds, why not 12 rounds, as in general.

From some of the statistics I've seen, Casimero is superior to Sanchez, that's the record of the matches they've had, but any match could happen in the ring and vice versa, Even though they both have a match scheduled for October 13 2024, but we haven't been able to find definite odds for the two of them, I hope Casimero has a good chance to bet on.
