Haha, I see a lot of changes here. As far as I can tell by myself, I am a child of a middle class family. That's why I spend money thoughtfully. Because even if the hotel do its best, if Cook receive such service for free, it will be an extra plus if he makes a review or gives a recommendation. I have never seen rich people living in old, shabby, materially deprived houses, and I have never seen rich people regularly eating cheap, poor quality food on the streets. My thoughts on this resonate more with you regarding how poor people are quick to impress others due to their lack of opportunity to wearing expensive things or living in luxury. It is a case of someone who got the opportunity to book the most expensive apartment in a 5 star hotel for the first time in their lifetime and someone who's already used to doing that, for instance, someone who was born and brought up in such apartment.

I don't think the point is there, friend. In the above picture the rich man is wearing cheap clothes and the poor man is wearing expensive clothes. In the picture, the poor man wears expensive clothes to pretend to be rich but he is actually poor. On the other hand, the rich man wears cheap clothes because he does not need to wear expensive clothes to prove himself rich because he is really rich. Now luxury requires mind-set. There are still many poor people who like to live in luxury and there are rich people who don't like to live in luxury. Now expensive clothes shoes and living a luxurious life can be a sign of being poor, because you can't improve if you spend too much.
