What will be the benefit of anyone who dedicates a whole year to knowing the in-depth of Bitcoin?

Will there ever be a time that such a person will be employed, maybe to be teaching about Bitcoin or do any other Bitcoin related job?

What you want to learn about bitcoin and what you shouldn't learn is an individual choice; it's not a must that everyone know about the technical aspects of it; it's a choice for you to learn it.

What I see as the most important aspect to learn is having the basic knowledge such as how to store bitcoin, the difference between Bitcoin and altcoins, how to send and receive, the type of bitcoin wallet, and which one is best for you to use; knowing the difference between pegged tokens that claim to be Bitcoin, etc.

The majority of people in this forum (me included) have minimal knowledge of the technical aspect of bitcoin, but I'm doing great with the little knowledge that I have.

And if you dedicate your whole life to learning about bitcoin, there is a great chance that your service might be needed in other areas, especially when you know what you are doing, but it's not a promise. How to make good use of your knowledge and the opportunities it will offer you depends on how you market yourself with such a skill.

I don't think learning about Bitcoin has some extent because it is a technology evolving day by day but you first have to decide what you want to do with Bitcoin knowledge, like if you just want to buy and sell BTC then simple knowledge of seed phrase, centralization vs decentralization, and custodial vs non-custodial wallets is enough ( I think but enough is a distinct property means to me it can be enough for other members, it might not be). If you want to know when to buy and when to sell then you have to learn about market, analysis, trading strategies, holding methods, security measures etc.

If you want to know technical terms like how BTC was made, and what is a node, what is mining, and how it all works, then you can follow the following threads:

There are more threads to read about history like:
161 History of Bitcoin 2007-2014

Is a common knowledge of how to buy, sell, and store Bitcoin, okay?
Yes. If you want to hold or use bitcoin for anything, it is good to have the practical knowledge. It can take some time but it is practical in a way that you will not forget what you learn from the reading.

What will be the benefit of anyone who dedicates a whole year to knowing the in-depth of Bitcoin?
Having more knowledge. Knowledge is power.

Will there ever be a time that such a person will be employed, maybe to be teaching about Bitcoin or do any other Bitcoin related job?
Do not think about employment but think about how it can be useful for you.

Golden words. Experience comes with time and from mistakes made, especially from them.
And it's great when you can learn from others' mistakes too, as you won't do the same (I hope so, of course).
Becoming more knowledgable ==> having more opportunities to shine and use your expertise for your own good.

The basic stuff like how to send and receive Bitcoin along with what is the right wallet for them and how to choose the right fee using the estimate provided by wallet and comparing with blockchain like mempool space is enough. Anything beyond that is out of our interest and there's no limit for that, try to get into it as far as you want.

Yes, common knowledge is enough.

Knowledge is money, and it gets appreciated a lot on this forum. You can take part in signature campaigns to earn something while sharing your knowledge.

Dedicating a whole year to the study of Bitcoin and the crypto currency market will set you light years ahead of many of us who got to know about Bitcoin and the technical aspect of trading from personal ventured experience or from this forum.
I can also assure you that you will be exposed to more opportunities and be wealthy in the process of putting to practice what you learnt thus far.
When you know you no longer need to be employed is when you begin to earn from Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies knowledge; it is when you no longer need a salary inorder to gather and invest your funds into cryptocurrency and make massive profits.

Thankfully there are now airdrops, casino games, bounties, signature campaigns, trading bots and newer techniques for trading as well as tap/play to earn games these days that is sure to put money in your pocket if you take it serious enough, I mean if you take the study of crypto and bitcoin serious for one year.

Is a common knowledge of how to buy, sell, and store Bitcoin, okay?

For most people, it's enough.

What will be the benefit of anyone who dedicates a whole year to knowing the in-depth of Bitcoin?

Better knowledge and satisfy your curiously.

Will there ever be a time that such a person will be employed, maybe to be teaching about Bitcoin or do any other Bitcoin related job?

If you're looking for employment, AFAIK you're expected to have some experience or other relevant knowledge. For example, computer science degree or contribution to open-source Bitcoin software/library, if you're aim to be software engineer on Bitcoin fields.

It all starts from an individual's desire to get involved in the Bitcoin industry, your desire to learn about Bitcoin because of the positive information you hear directly or accidentally find an article written about Bitcoin. The increasingly widespread adoption of Bitcoin and the beginning of direct interaction in the midst of society provides convenience in every transaction, besides that Bitcoin is also considered a very profitable investment for the long term. General knowledge about how to buy, sell and store Bitcoin is a basic foundation that must be learned by investors. If you are only an investor, this knowledge is sufficient, but if you want to be an influencer, a private teacher and want to teach everyone around you, you need to understand everything related to Bitcoin thoroughly so that you can explain it in detail to others.

... Is a common knowledge of how to buy, sell, and store Bitcoin, okay?

Absolutely!
These are the very basics and essentials to getting into Bitcoin, How to buy and how to Store.

Of course they are 2 very simple topics but when you dive into them there is more than one
right way to go about them.

Buy - via P2P or Exchange
Store - Self custody or not

Selling just follows the Buy route, selling via P2P or Exchange.

So with everything there is a degree of research which needs to be carried out but anyone just
getting into Bitcoin doesnt need to know the more technical aspects of it, we leave that to the
developers.

I can also say that when you buy your first Satoshi's you can start increasing your learning curve
into other aspects of being in Bitcoin like Learning about security, how the markets work, how transaction
fees work, the Lightning network running a Lightning node, running a Bitcoin node, learning about Mining.

I wouldnt let having to know  so much about Bitcoin be a deterrant to owning it.

I want to understand whether it is really necessary to know this in-depth of Bitcoin. Is a common knowledge of how to buy, sell, and store Bitcoin, okay?

Depends on your intention, but its really so good if you learn more deeper information about bitcoin since it will help you to determine what possible good action if either you want to trade or deal certain investments which have relation to bitcoin and also with other cryptocurrencies.

What will be the benefit of anyone who dedicates a whole year to knowing the in-depth of Bitcoin?

No one actually no since benefits may vary or depend on bitcoin on how he approach each situation that can possibly give him benefits.

Will there ever be a time that such a person will be employed, maybe to be teaching about Bitcoin or do any other Bitcoin related job?

Yes, if you meet certain requirements or criteria to what clients looking for. If you are skilled then you have great advantage to take crypto jobs.

Knowledge is money, and it gets appreciated a lot on this forum. You can take part in signature campaigns to earn something while sharing your knowledge.
I'm glad there's someone want to give honest answer.

@OP there are no reason to learn something in depth when you didn't get anything in return.

Many people join seminar, expo, spend a lot money for hobby in order to be a part of rich people, etc because they want to learn business.

Many people go to gym, take strict diet, treat themselves better with products etc because they want to impress the beautiful women/handsome men.

I would say that don't pressure yourself in knowing almost everything about Bitcoin. Not all of us knows everything about it, you can start with that question of yours buy knowing how-to buy, sell and bitcoin wallets that you should use and so I suggest you to start with Electrum.

What will be the benefit of anyone who dedicates a whole year to knowing the in-depth of Bitcoin?
You'll learn a lot and anyone who's got more knowledge than the others, we all know what happens with these people that have more knowledge than everybody.

Will there ever be a time that such a person will be employed, maybe to be teaching about Bitcoin or do any other Bitcoin related job?
Possible.
There are crypto related jobs that will ask you about it and you can pass their interview with their requirements about how basic or in depth their candidate should be.

You can spend your whole life and can not understand Bitcoin in-depth technically. It depends on your ability to learn about it from basics for storage, using it to technical things like a pro Bitcoin programmer.

Quote

Depends on your need but everyone will have to start as a newbie and with basics to learn. Learning starts with resources for beginners, then advanced ones with more technical things.

I’m not going to send you links because I can see you’re not a newbie and can find those links yourself if need be. As for your question, I think it depends on what your goal is. If your goal is to earn money from teaching crypto then you are free to invest your time and study all about the technical and non technical aspects of cryptocurrency. For a average bitcoin user, knowing how to buy and store your coins is enough to get you started. Interests in expanding your crypto knowledge comes after knowing the basics.

If your goal is to earn money from teaching crypto then you are free to invest your time and study all about the technical and non technical aspects of cryptocurrency.
This is a funny fact that many people want to become tutors in cryptocurrency while they are simply new in this market. They can have more experience than other people, especially newbies but if they are in this market only 1 year or 2 year but not in this market with a full market cycle of four years, their experience is limited and it's hard for them to teach others about this market.

They can be kind people, are ready to help others but if you have limited knowledge and experience, what you are trying to teach maybe simply not enough, or more terrible wrong. It can mislead other newbies to a wrong direction that is harmful for their investment adventure and portfolios too.

Like this advice.
Newbies stop teaching when you need to learn.

The extent you should learn Bitcoin is the extent you want to grow in it, you want to be known in it, and the extent you want to earn from it. Some people learn the peripheries, they stop airdrops, knowing how to invest in certain coins, and that's just it. Some people go further to explore the Bitcoin ecosystem, over time, they even have academies to teach people, and yes, they even get invited to speak, because there are web3 and blockchain webinars and offline bitcoin communities

So yeah, if you really put six months to one year into learning it, the extent at which you want yourself to go, if it's teaching at a summit, if it's teaching people, you will get there. One step at a time, learning from the scratch, from airdrops, then you get into the technical part, know how to do the investment, know how to buy coins, know how to hodl and stake coins. Know just everything you want to know about it, that is beneficial to you, because with time, you get to know what is beneficial to you as you learn, and you get to make your choices.

So yes, that's the extent you go in Bitcoin, the extent you want to be known and it can be beneficial if you learn it over a year, you could just be the Bitcoin lord in your community.

If you are only into investment, I think it is ok to know the market and economy of Bitcoin, a basic understanding of the technology and security is fair enough I think.  But if you are into developing application and integrating Bitcoin, I think you need to dig deeper.  In order to not waste time and effort, I believe we should know what we intend to do with Bitcoin technology and set up the things needed to successfully execute our plan.

Will there ever be a time that such a person will be employed, maybe to be teaching about Bitcoin or do any other Bitcoin related job?

There are people who are hired by a company, either to develop an application or create a market audience for their Bitcoin related products.
