I am trying my best to read a lot of things that are somehow technical, such as trying my best to know the technical aspect of Bitcoin. Now I'm trying my best to read everything about it. It's fun reading, but it consumes a lot of time.
For beginners, this platform can help you to break down almost all the difficult terminologies related to Bitcoin it will give a quick guide and you can learn fast because the explanation is open and well understandable.

Quote
I want to understand whether it is really necessary to know this in-depth of Bitcoin. Is a common knowledge of how to buy, sell, and store Bitcoin, okay?
Yes; but depending on how you want it.
If you want to invest in Bitcoin for a long time, the basic understanding of how to buy, sell, and hold is ok, but you also need to know the difference between custodial and noncustodial wallets, and you also need to know the important of your private key.

Quote
What will be the benefit of anyone who dedicates a whole year to knowing the in-depth of Bitcoin?

Will there ever be a time that such a person will be employed, maybe to be teaching about Bitcoin or do any other Bitcoin related job?
No knowledge is a waste, those with in-depth knowledge about Bitcoin will always be safe and will always know how to predict the market and will also get job just as you said.
And in forums like this one, they can be of help to people seeking knowledge on how to go about their Bitcoin.

Depends on what's your plan to do with Bitcoin, you will need to learn proper things for what you need.

If you want to become a Bitcoin investor, there are something to learn.

Learn why you should invest in Bitcoin, why Bitcoin is good for your investment portfolio.
Learn how to buy bitcoin.
Learn how to store it safely. This includes learning about difference between custodial wallets vs non-custodial wallets, aka. self-custodial wallets; how to create, back up, recover a wallet safely.
Learn how to send, receive bitcoin.

Then you are ready to start as a Bitcoin investor and can use it for fund deposit or fund sending as well.

If your need is like this, you don't have to learn too much technical knowledge.

The process by which you send bitcoins to another location and the process by which you receive them.  Know about different wallets.  Even if you are not very tech savvy, it will work. But there must be an idea.

It all depends on your interest and what you really want from the crypto. You don't have to focus all your interest in Bitcoin alone, you can become versatile by take a look at other cryptocurrency aspects like web3, Trading, staking, P2E and others that will help your have a broad knowledge about cryptocurrency. Learning different aspects will help you sharpen your understanding about cryptocurrency at large. You can decide to learn about trading which will help you to know when to buy and when to sell because this is one of the main challenges many traders are having, not having answer to it. Trading van give you more hedge to understand how the market does it thing enabling you to make more money.

1. You should know how to accumulate bitcoin and do it on a recurring basis. (Buy, accept, mine, etc.) https://www.whatisbitcoin.com/buy-bitcoin

2. Self Custody: If you do not control your own private keys, then you don't actually own any bitcoin. This can take some time but once you have enough sats, you should take custody of them in your own wallet.

3. Secure your seed phrase: This one is important. As soon as you self custody, you need to make sure that you are the only one who knows about your own seed phrase. You cannot trust hardware wallet manufacturers to generate it for you. You need to generate your own seed phrase

4. Run Your Own Full Bitcoin Node: Once you have stacked a decent amount of sats, taken custody of them, and safely generated your own seed phrase, now you need to run your own full bitcoin node to increase your own privacy/security while also supporting the decentralization of bitcoin.

If you do all of these things, you should have a solid understanding of bitcoin. I think that is what we should expect from most users. For those of us who want to go deeper, we can continue learning as we dive down our own respective rabbit holes.

I'm here to chew bubblegum and stack sats....and I'm all out of bubblegum. - Learn More About Bitcoin: What Is Bitcoin?

You'll be able to answer questions in Development & Technical Discussion board  Tongue
As funny as this may sound, this is just the truth.

If you're looking for employment, AFAIK you're expected to have some experience or other relevant knowledge. For example, computer science degree or contribution to open-source Bitcoin software/library, if you're aim to be software engineer on Bitcoin fields.
This is better. I almost believed that apart from mining and trading bitcoins, the next thing a person like me who is passionate about  Bitcoin can do with my knowledge about Bitcoin is to teach people what I know and earn from it. A variety of options like these should be enough motivation for one to dive deeper in learning and understanding Bitcoin.

Reading and researching is obviously the best way to get you there, Success is a process, you can't learn or know everything about Bitcoin just in a single day, no way, it a bit by bit stuff and you definitely would grab quite a number of information about the things you should know of Bitcoin.

Actually you're not learning in other to get employed  or something rather you're learning to know about how bitcoin investment works and also know some Investment strategies  should incase you start making investment you won't end up losing your money as  a result of not having the knowledge about how bitcoin investment works before diving into it, I think that is the reason why we are learning so as to have the knowledge before going into bitcoin investment.

If you dedicate a whole year to know the in-depth of bitcoin definitely is going to help you in carrying out a successful Investment, probably you can also create a channel in youtube where you can lecture people on how bitcoin investment works, I think this is the other way in which you can get benefited from the knowledge you acquired.

My dad would always tell me that there is no extent to the level of knowledge we can acquire. As long as there is life, we should always strive to gain more knowledge because none of it is a waste. Bringing it down to Bitcoin. There is no limit to what we can learn. Bitcoin still exists, it is good we learn more about the technology and beyond. Bitcoin knowledge is beyond investing, trading, transactions, and so on. It's broad and you can learn them if you are inquisitive and committed enough.

The good part is that the resources to learn are everywhere online. You can get resources from YouTube, PDF online, crypto influencers on social media, and lastly here in the community. What you seek can be found here if you use your search feature appropriately.

Welcome to the Bitcoin Forum. To be in bitcoin forum one must know about bitcoin forum and about bitcoin. You will not be able to move forward in the future if you do not understand Bitcoin. All you need to know is how to buy, how to sell and how to hold. If you can be active here regularly then you will gain a lot of experience sometime and you can do everything by yourself so definitely give enough time to learn well then definitely you can do good from this forum.

Learning about bitcoin, just like every other learning, is a continuous pocess, so you keep learning and improving as long as you are invesed in bitcoin or have interest in it. I don't think there is anyone that know everything about bitcoin, the reason we have bitcoin devs who are comstantly working to make bitcoin better and secured. To start imvesting in bitcoin, you just need the basic knowledge but as you continue in it, other advance knowledge will become necessary and depending on what extent you might want to go, you might need to learn about the tech.

Depending on your reason for coming into the Bitcoin sphare, that's majorly part of what determines your level of knowledge you're expected to get as a Bitcoinner. If you're just intrigued by the whole concept of Bitcoin and the blockchain technology that backs it up, you can go under into learning a lot of technical aspect of Bitcoin in addition to the basic ones every one ought to know about but if you just want to apply the knowledge for making transaction purposes or you want to store the value of your funds in Bitcoin, then you should just focus on;
1. the basics of Bitcoin
2. Learn about wallet
3. Learn about security
4. Learn how to do p2p transactions
5. And just continue engaging in the forum which keeps you updated with what's happening and exposes you to details that helps you become a better bitcoinner.
What will be the benefit of anyone who dedicates a whole year to knowing the in-depth of Bitcoin?

Will there ever be a time that such a person will be employed, maybe to be teaching about Bitcoin or do any other Bitcoin related job?
it's not necessary to learn about Bitcoin just because you're hoping that you will end up being employed to teach about Bitcoin in an institution. Information is very rampant accross the globe and a lot of people can source for those kind of information on the finger tips if they want to. Can thier be instances when you get lucky to teach about Bitcoin in school? It's very possible and I think that in some colleges, computer science students also learn about cryptocurrency and block chain technology as a whole. Learn first for yourself and if you see an opportunity to teach the knowledge or if you can create an opportunity of teaching others about it, you can as well do so.

Depends on your interest related to Bitcoin. If you want to trade it, learn Fundamentals and then Technical Analysis, How Halvings works, etc. And if you want to become a miner and mine Bitcoins, you need to understand how that works. There are many different fields in Bitcoin I guess where you can deep dive into one and still be unaware of others. And if you just want to be a BTC Holder, you need to know about the Hardware wallets.

I am new in the Bitcoin and cryptocurrency industry.  I am trying my best to read a lot of things that are somehow technical, such as trying my best to know the technical aspect of Bitcoin. Now I'm trying my best to read everything about it. It's fun reading, but it consumes a lot of time. I want to understand whether it is really necessary to know this in-depth of Bitcoin. Is a common knowledge of how to buy, sell, and store Bitcoin, okay?

Patience is the key to learning about the technical aspects of bitcoin and it is as you said it takes time to understand it properly because of its complexity. Even some bitcoin experts don’t know much about technical aspects of bitcoin, bitcoin is wide so you just have to choose the section that interests you the most and learn about it, your major aim of adopting bitcoin will lead you to the part you must learn but it doesn’t stop you from learning about other sections too.

I remember when i was new like you, i was so interested in learning about the technical aspects of bitcoin and that didn’t stop me from learning about the basic knowledge of how to invest and trade bitcoin and also understanding how wallets work. You will find them all useful in your journey.

What will be the benefit of anyone who dedicates a whole year to knowing the in-depth of Bitcoin?

Will there ever be a time that such a person will be employed, maybe to be teaching about Bitcoin or do any other Bitcoin related job?
A year is a whole lot of time and if anyone fully dedicates a year to study bitcoin then by the end of the year you would have achieved a lot of knowledge and understand so much about bitcoin.

Learning about bitcoin is not to get employed and it’s not like you are enrolling in a school or get a certificate by the end of your learning, it wil only improve your understanding about it and increase your chances of success during investments or trades.

Learning basics of Bitcoin does not consume you a long time like 1 year. There are many things to learn and you can not learn it all within 1 year but for basic things, you can do it and to start your investment in Bitcoin safely, you won't need to spend 1 year for learning.

You can learn basic things, move on and make decisions to invest or not; and through your investment practice, you can learn more about Bittcoin on daily or weekly basis. If you can learn regularly, your knowledge about Bitcoin will increase. Your practice will become better and safer if you read good resources on OPSEC, and practice key security principles carefully.

No certificate is necessary if you want to learn for yourself, for your investment and to store your bitcoin safely. Through learning and practice, you can find many jobs in Bitcoin industry and it can give you opportunity to get income that can be use for your investment too.

If you intend to use Bitcoin knowledge just for common use like engaging in transactions and safekeeping of your wallets, you do not need deep technical skills. Some surface technical skills are important to navigate the Bitcoin space, so it is important to know them.

It depends on your goal for engaging in such studies. But I know that no knowledge is a waste, technical skill will give you an advantage. Forum members with technical skills are better positioned to excel in any crypto forum than others.

It will all depend on the area you focus on in your training. If you search you might discover some employment opportunities for people with technical skills. You can also decide to start a physical or online teaching course in the area you are proficient in. But from my observation, most people who are engaged in Bitcoin also have other sources of income. Some of them see the Bitcoin sector as a side hustle.

In terms of technical knowledge I don’t think it’s compulsory as it’s a matter of choice, basic knowledge here is important because it bring more enlightenment on how to invest and hold proper. How to buy, sell and store alone gives an investor the courage to invest but, there’s still more to learn about bitcoin as time goes.

What will be the benefit of anyone who dedicates a whole year to knowing the in-depth of Bitcoin?
For personal benefit the answer is yes, As always knowledge is referred as power in order words acquiring bitcoin knowledge now is important since it’s needed for anyone who wants to invest or trade, I don’t see why someone will learn and fail to practice.

Well firstly if you are a total newbie in the crypto space you would have to first and foremost get a proper understanding of the crypto ecosystem and the idea behind it. In the case of bitcoin it's decentralisation. Secondly it's important to make sure to let go of crypto rumours out there , if you check you'll notice that many newbies that fail in the crypto space do so because of wrong information more often than no information.

Now to the most important and crucial part of it all, you should make sure to learn as much as you can about your security and privacy of your coins because just like I always say , every one often talks about hodling every now and then however there pretty much won't be any coin ms to hodl if your security is so poor that you lose your coins to some hack or scam. In addition to that you can make sure to always stay update and learn anything nice and beneficial too.

As a newbie, I would not recommend jumping on the technical aspects of Bitcoin first especially if you don't have any background experience in coding because it will just make you overwhelm. Stick to the basics of Bitcoin first. Stick to the things that can be learn online. Well, learning the technical side of Bitcoin is still a good thing and it's up to you if you want to do it or not, but I would suggest going to the basics first then go to the technical side if you want to. Is it necessary to know the in-depth of Bitcoin? Not really, but it's fun to know that as well because you can share it to other people as well especially here. As for me, I don't have time to learn it though.

Benefit? Hmmm I guess those who know the technical aspect of Bitcoin will be the ones that will answer that one for you. Bitcoin-related job? I don't think that there's any, but there are companies that are hiring blockchain developers and anything that's related to cryptocurrency. You can be a freelancer with the help of cryptocurrency as long as you have a skill that would help you. Bitcoin as a main source of income is possible only if you are expert in one skill that's related to crypto. If not, then just focus on your main job I guess and use Bitcoin as a side hustle only.
