Within the past few years, the world of gambling has indeed undergone lots of evolutionary stages which has potentially made quite a significant impact on the world of gambling. It is no long news how greatly the emergence of Virtual Sports betting  have immensely influenced how people spend their leisure time in gambling and many believe that this has also contributed a lot to the increasing rate of gambling addiction amongst several gamblers.
Hence the purpose for this thread, do you believe that virtual games are more addictive than the traditional real life games? Or the opposite.

2. ⁠ ESCAPISM: As we already know, the more time a gambler spends on gambling, the more the chances of getting addicted, and we know that one thing the Virtual world is best at is offering an escape from the real world, thereby leading players to spend more time immersed in the game.

First of all, before you talk about the impact of gambling on an individual you have to put in place the level of such gambler experience and aducation because as a gambler there is need to set a boundary on addictions and what your definition of an addiction is, because quite often time, a few people believe that when you lose alot than you win, you are already addicted, while some others can gamble for fun for as long as they wish, staking only the amount they can afford to lose each time and gamble just for the fun, this way regardless of what the outcome of the game is, the gambler will still remain satisfied.

All forms of gambling are addictive. I believe this has been discussed and argued here several times. Be it sport betting, slot games, poker, aviator, virtual name them, or whatever form of betting the person chooses, all are addictive; it all depends on the gambler and their choice of game. 
 
If there is a question that should be asked among this type of gambling, which among them allows the gambler to spend his or her budget real quick and spend more within a matter of seconds, that's when we can consider virtual betting as part of those games.

The way the post is phrased it's hard to make any sense out of it, but if I were to guess I'd say you're calling online gambling virtual gambling, but it's not the same thing. For instance online poker with live dealer is not completely virtual. It's real, just played remotely, the way you can work from home.

I'd say online gambling is more addictive because you can gamble anywhere you like, while doing other things. For instance, you can play while eating dinner, or watching a movie.

However, virtual and casino games have the highest addicted gamblers of all time. One of the reasons why I said this is because virtual and casino gamers are those types of gamblers that thinks gamble can provide quick money for them just because the time in which the results of the virtual and casino games decide the results of the games is just in a matter of some minutes, maybe 1 or 2 minutes (maybe seconds). Although, all games have addicted gamblers.

A person today with his phone in hand can do a lot of things and the person can be busy doing something like gambling without the need to stand up or walk around. He can relax all his day just scrolling and virtually arrive somewhere. If we are easily addicted to social media sites and can pass the time forgetting lunchtime, so are virtual games.

Accurately said, without a single doubt, the importance of virtual gaming in the gaming world can not be overemphasized, and no one is arguing its innovative contribution too, but the issue of gamblers misinterpretation of the actual purpose of virtual gaming still can’t be ignored. Yes, virtual gaming was created to move gaming experience forwards but the fact remains that many gamblers misunderstand this and rather than giving them more pleasure as intended, it does quite the opposite by increasing their chances of getting addicted to gambling and this is just the ugly truth.

You are very right about this. When I was addicted, I was addicted to sport. I bet on matches before they are played and I also bet on in-play. I was later more addicted to in-play and it takes more time as you can continue to analyze the matches as the matches are going on. I have not been addicted to casino games which I think the OP is referring to virtual games. But the reason I might not have been addicted to casino games was because I know I will lose but in sport betting, you will think that you can analyze and make money from betting on the matches but which is also wrong as some luck is also involved. But more people will choose casino games as the most addicting, especially slots.

Pretty sure that he's really that pertaining about online games or gambling on which it is really that been in compared to those physical ones then its something that both things serves out on the same market.

I think the case of addiction is strongly based of on the gambler’s preference and perspectives. Just as you prefer sports betting to casinos because you feel you’ve got much more success chances than in casinos games, some gamblers may have quite the contrary opinion about it as they’ll prefer to take their chances with the casino games, believing they have more success rates.

A gambler can’t get addicted to a game he doesn’t indicate interest on. Those two that you have pointed out OP are true. While instant rewards is one of the most dangerous thoughts a person would have, it seems that this isn't just with gambling. Although this has been found by most people through gambling and that's why they're trying hard to do things on their own in this belief because through gambling, things are very fast paced. It's a wrong thought, I've done my part there and experienced it on my own and never had a good outcome with this kind of thought stuck on my mind that through gambling, quick money is there. It's true but also the counterpart of it, it's also one of the quickest ways to lose money if you're an emotional gambler and there's also an effect of it for us into becoming an addicted gambler.

And about doing it as a way to escape the reality, this is sad that many are experiencing it. This whole thing is quite simple it's all based on the individuals preference. Talking about the addictiveness of both games, some gamblers are addicted to real life gaming some are addicted to virtuals it all depends on how you let these games take an effect on you. When it comes to the benefits of it I think a lot of people benefit from real life games more than virtual games. Anything that has been programmed is difficult to win from, whichever of them you choose to play learn to be disciplined and gamble responsibly

My personal experience in reading, watching, observing the behaviors of people are particularly addicted to gambling is there are no distinctions between which type of gambling holds a higher gambling effect than the other. My conclusion for this observation is that the personality of each gambler differs. What may seem very addictive to one player may not be to another. Therefore in the context of the discussion at hand, neither virtual or real-life gaming as the OP has put it in more addictive than the other. Aside the personality factor, environment influences can also play a role in the type of gambling addiction. I can not have an opinion for everybody but I think virtual games has more addictive effects than real life games. Why I think this is because virtual games are endless, you can keep playing forever because they are computer generated games and they get finished in a lesser time than actual real life games. Virtual games are made of luck and you do not have any history to look at to help you make better predictions but real life games has a head to head statistics that you can look at and it will help you to determine the team that is going to win but that is not possible with virtual games. Virtual games are just like playing luck based games therefore they can get more addicted when you lose and you will want to try again to see if you can win. Real life games gives you real experience.

The rate of gamblers on the virtual aspect is far higher than that real life betting this is because virtual money is fast within a minute time the results are already out stemming to continue another fresh game to gamble on, unlike real life betting where you to wait every weekend to place your bet just to see if you can select better game since all league will be playing on weekends.

From my analysis, all forms of gambling  is addictive it all depends  one the gamblers mindset. But virtual  games could be considered more addictive because of the short time frame it takes for results to be uploaded and gamblers who are impatient  would want to make use of the opportunity and gamblers over and over again beside without  luck there would be no win in gambling.  However  I have experienced a situation  whereby a worker after receiving his pay for the month, he went into a gambling hall and spent all his salary on virtual games, thinking he could just add a little  bit of extra cash to his pay. I’m going with the idea that your “virtual game” means slots and sport betting where you get to see the instant results of the match after placing your bets. If that’s it then yes, they are more addictive than the normal gaming or should I say real life games.

Personally, when I bet on sports I find it very easy to call it a quit but when I’m playing slots and other casino games I find it more difficult to call it a quit and I play longer than I do when I’m on sport and I guess it is because of the fun we get from those ones than we do from sport - ranging from the animation to the sound effects they are super fun than sport.
