Suppose you think this matter has not been discussed enough, and you possibly have specific complaints about a user. In that case, it is probably better to open a discussion in the Reputation board instead of unlocking this topic. Indirect name-calling through some other contest is not the best solution, nor is any kind of belittling, so some direct discussion is a better choice. If there is a reason for that, and obviously there is, consider the reopening of this thread.

As for your initial idea and project for which you started this thread, I believe that you received enough feedback through this and that other discussion (also in the reputation board). From that side, I understand why you locked this topic.

I won't go into the story about your business idea again, but I think you got a lot of useful information, even if it was from Vod, you just need to recognize it and possibly use it if the project really starts to be implemented. So the whole discussion is certainly not useless.

I don’t think that Vod`s personality deserves such disproportionate attention that an entire separate thread should be created to discuss his groundless accusations. I understand your logic, and indeed, it might seem that the issues I raised in the last two posts are unrelated to the main topic of discussion.

However, I specifically posted them in this thread because Vod's accusations are directly related to the subject of this discussion and refer to it as well. Moreover, the prospect of having his red tag removed from me is tied to providing some information (addressing issues) in this very thread (what kind of information—Vod didn’t specify, of course). So, it makes sense to continue this discussion here.

Additionally, creating a separate thread in "Reputation" wouldn’t have attracted Vod’s attention, since he ignores my posts. Perhaps it would have attracted other users who weren’t aware of where this issue originated, but they would still have had to familiarize themselves with this thread if they intended to base their judgments on what was going on, not just their opinions.

I really learned a lot from this whole long story, but it wasn’t useful information, especially from Vod. He hasn’t provided any information during all this time—only bare accusations and personal opinions based on his experience, to which no one else has access. I don’t consider the discussion useless, but to be honest, it mostly left me with negative impressions.

Well, a bit too late for this but you did start this the wrong way!

Maybe to avoid the usual initial backslash the first thing was to consult on veteran members in the mining section, and then start talking about a plan to raise those funds, so not only you would have the backing of a sound and generally accepted plan but you wouldn't look like straight to the money thing!

I'm more interested in the mining thing than the whole mumbo jumbo about fees and meeting trips and so on, so I'm genuinely curious about a few things
- you are willing to pay thousands for advice on everything from electricity prices to setting up an LLC but you went straight for a model of miner, and you're not planning on spending a dime on an actual business plan, moreover, you start with this:

Now a word of advice for someone who has actually been around Europe talking to suppliers from farming equipment to pesticides to negotiating 10 cents on the kilo for meat with intermediaries, your costs are overblown, definitely out of what it should be normal for any start-up, you're dumping thousands when the two mining businesses right now are about cutting every single penny in two before spending it.

Also one of the team members traveled to the UAE (March 2024), Romania (June 2024), and Italy (May 2024). The trips across Europe cost $5,000 because he had a car at that time (fuel costs not included, though they are significant).
o   UAE: Looked for potential locations. Studied how the environment affects the cooling system. Learned the conditions for establishing a company ($2,500 for flights, accommodation, and consultations).
o   Romania: Researched the use of solar panels for energy supply to crypto farms (conclusion: they are not suitable).

This is what I call wasted money, you had to go to Romania to find out a thing everyone here has known for half a decade, you could have asked Mikey about running a farm in the ME, a guy that has managed to keep those damn miners up and humming in +40C for a decade, but you went and spent not only $5k but also precious time for nothing.

I know that you have to spend money to make money, but not like this!

Starting such a venture in Romania is almost the same as starting it in Ukraine. Western investors have no trust in these countries. The legislation there obviously does not work for everyone, it is selective. We avoid this, it's not our way. Moreover, Romania does not differ in energy capacity or a favorable investment climate.

I thought I had clearly explained my position, but apparently not everyone is capable to get it. I had the intention of closing this topic, which I did, for reasons that I explained in the post above, and which emerge from the discussion in my topic and in the topic in the "Reputation" section, created by DireWolfM14. Therefore, I don't quite understand this comment by Vod, he left me, tagging my account for the second time.

I don't want this to come off as being mean, but you really didn't explain anything and only dug in your heals to defend your position.  As you can see from the other replies here, this is only going to get worse.  Continuing to hold on to this fantasy is not making it better.  

The reason I removed my tag and locked the Reputation thread is because I felt sorry for you after our private discussion.  I don't want to jeopardies your ability to earn on this forum.  The only thing our discussion in the Reputation board accomplished is that many saw you as a dreamer who is not to be taken seriously.  Your proposal may have sounded good in your head when you and your friends were sitting around, drinking beer, dreaming of ways to improve your situation.  But believe me, you are not the type of person that a real businessman would take seriously.  This is not the type of proposal that warrants the investment you are requesting.  All you and your friends have accomplished here is to open yourself up to ridicule and mockery.  Acknowledging your shortcomings and knowing your limitations is the only way to improve in life.

Again, I'm not saying this to be mean or to hurt you, but rather to help you recover from this.  Abandon this fantasy, lock this thread, and appeal to Vod's better nature in a PM.  You never know, he may remove the tag he left for you.  This may not be the advice you want, but it's the best advice I can give you and I'd give this same advice to my children if they were in your position.

DireWolfM14, I will lock this topic, and I’m unlikely to reopen it. The only thing we agree on is that continuing this discussion is pointless. I have explained many points. The problem is that most of the people who responded to me are so entrenched in their beliefs that they don't take my arguments into consideration, even though they don't provide any in return.

You don’t know how this idea and the future offer actually came about, so there's no need to fantasize about it. What you described is as far from how it actually happened and is happening as my life reality is from the reality of those who "opposed" me.

Acknowledging my shortcomings and knowing my limitations are definitely not confined to what people continue to tell me on this forum. I will not address any issues here anymore, as I don’t see the point. Even when we manage to do what we planned, the forum will continue to perceive people like me as those who can be ridiculed, mockered and dragged through the mud.

I have no intention of sending any private messages to Vod. I highly doubt that Vod has any semblance of a better nature. Judging by the comments in his profile, I’m far from being the only one who has been the target of his abuse, false accusations, hate, and his attempts to stop a scam. I won’t humiliate myself before such a person by asking him to remove whatever he’s got in his head. It’s pointless, because he can do the same at any moment. You should never give in to a blackmailer, because he will always exploit that position. It’s the complete opposite of the freedom I set out to achieve.
