Biggest fear... Having my wallet drained because my PC was infected with a virus that I didn't realize I had, but now I have peace of mind because I've saved my hardware wallet...

Another fear is... Governments starting to impose strict rules or even levying high taxes on every exchange from crypto to fiat... Because what I'm hearing now is that the government is going to start talking about new rules.

The third one... Maybe if there is no internert then everything we have will be worthless.

How is it not possible for the entire Cryptocurrency space to fail at once?  If Bitcoin fell to its knees, it would drop pretty much all other Cryptocurrencies together with it.  Look at the last few days.  Bitcoin dropped by 3 percent, most Altcoins dropped much more significantly than that.

Its purpose is to provide an alternative to the Fiat system.  If it fails at doing that, the purpose of Bitcoin fails.  It is possible, and while probably unlikely, I still have this fear.

No matter how a person learn about Bitcoin and also have some experience about it, he’s most still have fear of losing or the risks that are involved in the Bitcoin’s investment; because even though a person studying about cryptocurrency it will never escape the losing since the losing doesn’t about been a an expert’s on Bitcoins, so the biggest fear as a newbie’s is the failed when ever he make attempts in the any investments.

Bitcoin has turned a lot of people’s to what they didn’t expected, because Bitcoin is simple coins that everyone can come and invest with little amount of money that it can afford to lose and gain a huge profits in future, is not that like the trading that with your enough knowledge and experience you will not have rest of mind because of the bigger risks that are involved.

Well I'm pretty sure that everyone has something to say about this very topic. Actually their was this thread that talks about government putting an end to this cryptocurrency though it's been long I came across this thread I'm talking about, so I was very scared to hear that the government is against cryptocurrency because I know how this cryptocurrency helped most people and even change the life of some people, and also create job opportunities for some people. there are some people who are making a huge amount of money online today is through the help of this cryptocurrency, just imagine if the government succeeded in removing cryptocurrency in the system I don't know what  will become of those people who made cryptocurrency their source of income.

Then with bitcoin now being an investment tool and being used as a store of value and only a few people using bitcoin as a transaction tool can be said to have almost failed with the main purpose of why bitcoin was created? and what if bitcoin is no longer used as a currency but is made into an investment asset, in this view maybe we can say that bitcoin has failed in its purpose, but bitcoin has a new utility besides a medium of exchange like currency.
My fear is when everyone knows bitcoin and hunts for bitcoin when I don't have more bitcoin in my wallet, lol, maybe I will be disappointed because I found out early but don't have much bitcoin.

I don't have any fear about bitcoin because I believe in it , the fear can only come in when one is not really sure of what bitcoin is. If I have any fear about bitcoin I don't think I will invest in it. My only fear in bitcoin is if the government restrict people from trading bitcoin, then it will be a serious problem which will be deprive people from buying and to sell bitcoin .

This is another reason for one to develop fear because if it is lose it is gone forever,  their is no way it can be recover back. That's is why it is important to give maximum security to bitcoin wallet to make sure your bitcoin is intact and safe.

The only time I have fear about my bitcoin holding was when all my bitcoin investment was on an exchange address and this makes me feel sometimes as if I will lose my money, because of the way some excahges have either blocked customers unquestionably or even go bankruptcy such as in the case with FTX.


Aside from that since I have moved my coins into my cold wallet, I have always t of peace of mind now and at that I do t have any occasional fears that may come along the line in some level.

I think we can think of some new fears which are not about losing your money

A fear of Bitcoin being made redundant by a newer technology, for example, is a much different fear than being afraid of losing all your money. You could have a small amount of money invested in Bitcoin and not care about it but care about what happens to Bitcoin itself.

My fear eqch day as I engage in bitcoin investment and also using it for certain transactions where needed, I fear that my country's government base on their position about bitcoin/cryptocurrency that they don't make laws that completely makes life difficult for bitcoiners in the country by completely shutting down the few available means through which we trade our coins and make transactions. If that is a new beginner, maybe losing all funds due to minor mistakes is the biggest fear for those who doesn't have much knowledge. They must learn how to secure their wallet so it is safety from the hacker or bad people who want to steal their wallet.

But if that for people who knows much about Bitcoin, maybe they fear if Centralized exchanges and institution hoarding 90% bitcoins, thereby forcing the system to centralization because that will change the Bitcoin vision about privacy and freedom. Regardless you're a Bitcoin maximalist, Bitcoin enthusiast, Crypto enthusiast or someone who buy Bitcoin without any reason will be disappointed if Bitcoin price down to $1 because almost all people buy Bitcoin when the price is higher than $1.

What Satoshi's vision? he himself think Bitcoin is more like a collectible or commodity, not necessary it must be a currency.

Bitcoins have no dividend or potential future dividend, therefore not like a stock.

hoarding 90% of Bitcoin is not an easy thing to do. but if possible, it will not affect Bitcoin. If you still have Bitcoin, you can keep it or trade it. although privacy and freedom may be compromised.
My fear for the future is the destruction of the internet. when you no longer have the internet to access anything online, maybe Bitcoin ownership will only be in your wallet, not to be traded. it's the same as you have lost the value of the asset.

Well they say Bitcoin and crypto is the future. My biggest fear is a new innovation will come out that bypass all hindrances to financial transparency and decentralization. We dont know yet what is there to come so if ever theres a new tech that introduced that surpasses the ability of bitcoin and other and lead to migration to this new one which I believe not present yet (Hope not yet).

One thing that worries our investors and many investors is the volatility of Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies, the adoption of which can lead to a sudden drop in volatility.
We see that inflation is a major concern and money is being printed and changed due to changes in the economy of different countries due to pandemics etc. This situation is why Bitcoin is hedging against inflation (considering CPI) and why gold is not a good investment.
segwit2x They are implement Bitcoin and take it to scale but ultimately develop it with negligible scalability, which has annoyed many Bitcoin investors and some have lost faith in it. Their main problem is the lack of strong leaders!
I think if a strong leader comes and starts working on this......that would be great.

My biggest concern about Bitcoin is that people may assume its success is inevitable, regardless of future developments. Bitcoin is an incredible innovation, but it is up to all of us to improve it, whether by enhancing scalability, privacy, or raising awareness. Without these, Bitcoin may not fulfill the potential we envision for it.

That said, I remain generally optimistic. Bitcoin has undeniably sparked countless new ideas, broadened perspectives, including my own, and prompted us to ask important questions, like, what if money isn't property of the state? Even if Bitcoin vanished tomorrow, the impact of its thought experiment would be too profound to ignore. I hold a different philosophy in life because of Bitcoin.

You may double-spend, given enough hashing power. But, the impact Bitcoin has had in driving people to seek the truth about economics is irreversible.

My biggest fears and concerns about bitcoin is not seeing it functioning the next day or cease to exist, or a change already altered its development that will make some significant change to what we assume or know about it to become or has always been. Bitcoin has been a pathway to financial freedom and it cannot be compared to any other cryptocurrency or any form of financial entity. If anything should alter its decentralized system or a major change that will alter its long term goals, it’ll be the saddest thing I would not be happy to take. Deep inside we don’t wish for the to happen or seen any sign of it happening but still won’t give up the fact of it not happening in the future. Hope things trail on the right path for us all.

anyone who is new in Bitcoin mostly your first time of investing in Bitcoin, you will be afraid of bitcoin not to fall so that you will not lose for your investment, I know that such fear is general for new cryptocurrency investors but mostly in Bitcoin, because theirs some people have not believe that bitcoin will stand firm as digital and decentralized currency, but today bitcoin has stood firm and most people embraces its network, I'm one of the victims whereby I wanted to invest in bitcoin when I knew bitcoin but people discouraged me not to invest in bitcoin, at of that time, they told me that bitcoin is a currency you see the digits but can't touch or feel bitcoin, so in such case bitcoin is used for fraudulent act, but I disagree with because I have made my research before I invested in Bitcoin, in summary newbie in bitcoin,  their fear is that they will lose bitcoin.

Fear has been part of life and the things you fall in love with like things you love doing, it still makes you think of the negative part of it, like what will happen if this thing I'm into is no longer there? That question do comes to our mind and it has to keep you ready just incase it happens. If investing in Bitcoin has been all you do to keep body and soul together we still have to think outside the box without knowing, like that thought just pop out of your head, with the question "what if?" is normal to be afraid of something and fear makes some people stronger to face what lies ahead, the fear of Bitcoin not existing has to be number 1 for me and to investors too because is like taking away their joy.
