See make I just dey honest with you, you need quality  post to get merit nor mean say nah all your quality post go get merit. Is normal to ask question like this , because doing our own time when we join this forum many of us felt this way too , questioning ourselves, like what are we doing that we are not getting merit.

The thing is that as time goes it  gets more difficult for one to earn merit, but if you wan really earn merit , you don't have to focus or chase it rather let it come to you instead, and for am to come to you , you got dey knowledgeable. Buddy first and foremost I welcome you to this forum, for me , this is the first time am writing in the thread created by you, I went through your profile I noticed that you just have 20 post and 20 activity without any merit but to me it doesn't really matter what matters is your improvement and your continues contribution in this community and the forum at large, you will be noticed if you keep up with quality post, though the word quality post is been seen in different perspective by different people so you shouldn't expect everyone to see your post as a quality one, merit comes when your post solves the readers problem, the merit you are looking for will definetely come may be when you don't expect it but for now what's required of you is to keep doing the needful by contributing your quota and make sure before you reply or quote anyone here, you most understand the content of what such particular post is saying.

Asking if you are doing something wrong, it all depends on what you feel but personally I think you should improve and believe in yourself, don't allow low self esteem to weigh you down, when most of us started this journey, we felt the same way you are feeling now but that's wasn't the case, though merit is part of the growth in this forum but it shouldn't be your major concentration because it will surely come, your major concern now is to understand why you are here, go back to your post and check if they are worth meriting, if they do, them relax the merit will come but not as quick as you want it, the growth in this forum depends on individual, so I will advise you to allow this thing happen natural instead of bothering yourself about something you can't control, just build yourself towards the task ahead I believe very soon you will begin to see the results if you don't get discouraged along the line.

Fear is an enemy to man don't let fear stop you, don't be afraid of criticism in this forum as a newbie because it will surely come see it as a way to learn and correction not as violence.

Sometimes newbies lack orientation on threads to post on that they might likely earn Merit I see most newbies posting on gambling thread where getting merit is highly impossible.

And for your post to earn Merit it should be meaningful  post  before I even started earning merit in the forum I have done more post you did now, so I will encourage you not to give up just be consistent in the forum and keep making helpful post merit will surely keep on coming.

To get merits now no too dey very easy as eh been dey before, if check check currently some merit sources wey been give merits no longer dey on that line anymore that's why eh come be like say eh dey scarce, currently eh no just depend on quality and quantity to receive merits from people you gats think outside the box contribute wetin go wow people either by creating topic or replys. I done also go through the OP posts, most of them dey very merit worthy and if na back then I believe say some for get enough merits but then em fit still check for beginners and help go apply with em quality post wey dey merit worthy to receive merits or better still apply for our local board here. You're not doing anything bad and person wey tell you about this forum said the right thing, if you make a quantity post, dem high rank members wey like your post will reward you by giving merit but you make you no always dey expect say all your post will get merit anytime, e get some quality post wey you go do, you will use all your time and effort do research about it but at the end of it, you might no receive a single merit on the post, and that one no mean say ur posts no dey quality enough to receive merit, sometimes you fit post something wey u no expect merit and dey will just dey send you merit.

Moreover, I will advise you don't be discourage that you have been making good post and you no receive any merit, continue with your hard work. Be like all these new generation Newbies una need to calm down small. You just created an account on 25th October 2024, and better 1week never reach, you don dey complain about not receiving merits for quality post. Because in my days, I could remember staying on the forum for months without receiving a merit, of which though it differs from one individual to another. Hence, on that note, I will like to give you one secrets I used in receiving my merits when I was still a Newbie growing my account to the rank I am today. And the tips are as follows.

1. Always target early morning to be posting on the forum, because I will always you post on the forum from 6a.m to 10a.m, (as post made such timeframe stands to get more exposure to people that will be logging into the forum in the afternoon or evening.

2. Always target new threads to ensure your post is among the first 20 posts on the front page, because the more post you make on the first page of a thread, the more it's likely to have more visibility for Merit Source.

Quality is subjective and this one mean say na everybody gets their own opinion on wetin quality be so you no fit please anybody with what you consider to be quality for you.

As you think say na quality na so another person go think say na generic posts. Well no give up, keep posting and one day person we go be your helper go locate you. Don't restrict your quality to just the local board, expand your reach to other boards as it gives you more audiences so people wey get better merit go fit see you.

We too get threads for merit giveaways so when e belike you no dey get the appreciation wey you feel you deserve, make use of the giveaway threads. No over dey show say you dey nterested in merits shall as the forum dey see people with that mentality as not productive users to the forum.
