When and how did Trump make all these promises. They are too many and if he manages to accomplish all, be ready to see bitcoin close to $500k. I'll add this quote/cross link here, only with an extra thought: we can start the "fun" of adjusting expectations to the (sad) reality.
Further information says that he is also adding BTC and Ethereum to the list. However, i thought that during the campaign we were only hearing about a BTC strategic reserve, now we can safely say it is a cryptocurrency strategic reserve and i would not be surprised if an altcoin gets the larger allocation. I haven't found any information on how much money he and his wife made from their meme coins, but it's certainly not a small amount.
Yeah, it will surely not be a small amount and that is why they did it, to enrich themselves at the expense of some gullible investors. Before now, I have only heard about Bitcoin, Solana and xrp. I was surprised to see the addition of ADA and Ethereum. Anyways, it will be all win win case for both BTC and altcoins.

https://x.com/davidsacks47/status/1896246273143161295"President Trump has announced a Crypto Strategic Reserve consisting of Bitcoin and other top cryptocurrencies. This is consistent with his week-one E.O. 14178. President Trump is keeping his promise to make the U.S. the “Crypto Capital of the World.” More to come at the Summit." ____ Trump wrote about BTC, ETH, XRP, SOL, ADA. Now I have some practice. Any bill must undergo examination and voting in the relevant committee. Then the bill is approved in 2 chambers of the US Congress and voted on. This is a very complex process

I'll add this quote/cross link here, only with an extra thought: we can start the "fun" of adjusting expectations to the (sad) reality. I can't say I was not expecting this with the people that were around him and Eric Trump. XRP Founder, Cardano's Founder etc. I do find it stupid, because not even ADA holders use ADA but well... What are your thoughts on this? For those who don't know how to read between the lines, maybe this is news - but even before the big bully became president, he was meeting with the "inventors" of these altcoins, and they certainly weren't talking about fishing and golf, but about how they were going to collect a lot of money for all these projects. Putting shitcoins in national reserves is just one of the stupid things that will remain from this president (if of course it comes true), but I personally did not expect anything smarter from such people. They have shown their true colors, and have already marked themselves as the most disgusting administration ever.

It's just a question on how much Trump is willing to put on Bitcoin as their strategic reserve.

This does not seem too important at the moment, because the man who wants to put altcoins in strategic reserves has turned out to be completely expected as a creator of chaos and fear in the whole world - except, of course, in a few countries that were on the US blacklist until recently. Undoubtedly, the cryptocurrency market will react positively to any news that something like this happened, but in the light of trade wars and crazy moves by the US administration, fear and doubt will continue to rule the world, and that is never good for business and ordinary people.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/donald-trump-signs-executive-order-strategic-bitcoin-reserveDonald Trump signs executive order for Strategic Bitcoin Reserve US President Donald Trump signed an executive order establishing both a “Strategic Bitcoin Reserve” and a “Digital Asset Stockpile.” The AI assistant highlighted the important points: "- A strategic reserve will be created using confiscated BTCs - BTC will not be sold. - The Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Trade will develop budget-neutral strategies for acquiring additional BTC. - A reserve will be created for other confiscated digital assets. - The government will not acquire additional assets to reserve other digital assets beyond those confiscated. - The U.S. is positioned as a leader in the government's digital asset strategy. --------- This move by the U.S. could accelerate other countries' decisions to build their own strategic crypto reserves - CIO Bitwise Senator Lummis: “The U.S. is becoming the digital asset capital of the world.”" https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/03/establishment-of-the-strategic-bitcoin-reserveand-united-states-digital-asset-stockpile/"BTC confiscated in criminal and civil cases would be sent to a reserve. The Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Commerce should develop strategies to acquire BTC without creating a burden on taxpayers (through alternative mechanisms: asset swaps or confiscations). Government digital assets cannot be sold without special justification. The Ministry of Finance will set up an office to manage the BTC reserve. Will create a reserve for other digital assets (besides BTC). The government will not acquire additional assets for reserve of other digital assets (other than BTC) beyond those confiscated. Within 30 days, agencies must audit and report on digital assets (how much/where stored, etc.) to the MoF.

Does the U.S. government have any ADA, SOL and XRP in its list of confiscated assets that they are holding, most of the information online says they do not. So are they probably going to swap the stablecoins in their possession for these coins that Trump announced will be part of the digital asset stockpile. The government will not acquire additional assets for reserve of other digital assets (other than BTC) beyond those confiscated.
So i believe that means there is a possibility that they are going to continue adding BTC to their strategic reserve in the future.

@OP: Ministry? This is not Europe or Asia where many governments do have them. The US does not have 'Ministries". We have Departments and Agencies... Stop trusting ChatGP to get things right. DYOR & think for yourself and at least get yer terminology right.

Actual U.S. government balance $17.4B.https://intel.arkm.com/explorer/entity/usgSecret Services other government agencies have not closed all cases, so the number of coins on the balance sheet may increase. I think that the US government should first deal with the current wallets that belong to different departments and agencies, and then buy crypto assets.

Why buy if you can get it for free? It would be interesting to see how many BTC and altcoins the US government has seized on average each year - but it seems to me that these are not insignificant numbers. Not that I'm scaring anyone, but given the complete unpredictability of the current US president, I wouldn't be surprised if it occurred to him to order a "scan" of all CEXs operating in their jurisdiction in search of "tainted coins".

Do Kwon has already been extradited to the US from Montenegro and we don't know how many coins he will add to the US budget I think ‘scanning everyone’ is a very expensive operation and would be against the president's policy. Usually, a good hunter will be on the lookout for big prey, not chasing small prey.

Do Kwon has already been extradited to the US from Montenegro and we don't know how many coins he will add to the US budget I haven't come across any news about this scammer lately, but he's obviously enjoying himself in some American prison, maybe playing chess or poker with Bankman while they figure out how to get out sooner. Given that money can currently buy everything in the US (including freedom), it all comes down to how much they can offer the big gray boss. I think ‘scanning everyone’ is a very expensive operation and would be against the president's policy. Usually, a good hunter will be on the lookout for big prey, not chasing small prey.
Big prey hides right where it thinks no one will look - in a crowd of small fish. In addition, all CEXs are required to implement AML procedures, and all that is needed is for them to be slightly adapted (better detected), and to catch precisely these big fish. I think everyone sees today that the rule is that there are no rules.

I think everyone sees today that the rule is that there are no rules. SBF has already had everything taken away from him by the US government, but Do Kwon has a good chance of negotiating a minimum prison sentence. SBF is serving his sentence in a regular prison. Right now, there are no centralised crypto exchanges where you can trade assets worth $20-30k or more without KYC and AML verification procedures. It is very hard to hide large capitals in such conditions.

Gensler is not getting fired but he is voluntarily resigning from his position and the person who replaced him seems loves about crypto. Second I hear about Bitcoin reserve is this "Trump signed an Executive Order to establish a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve and a U.S. Digital Asset Stockpile, positioning the United States as a leader among nations in government digital asset strategy. The Order creates a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve that will treat bitcoin as a reserve asset." https://www.whitehouse.gov/fact-sheets/2025/03/fact-sheet-president-donald-j-trump-establishes-the-strategic-bitcoin-reserve-and-u-s-digital-asset-stockpile/Meaning we getting closer to get bitcoin strategic reserve

Yes, the US government has established their Bitcoin strategic reserve, meaning they are just going to hold on what Bitcoin they currently have. Unlike before wherein the Biden administration wanted to sell it off prior to Trump assuming the office of the President. And it just shows how anti-crypto the previous administration is. Although even after the crypto summit, there could be some who are disappointed of what Trump will do as there are investors expecting that the US government will buy more Bitcoin.

https://decrypt.co/244506/donald-trump-bitcoin-crypto-campaign-promisesTrump has rattled off a series of promises for Bitcoin and the crypto industry in a bid to woo prospective voters. This is a brief squeeze of the new US President's promises( from a forwarding in a telegram), watch together how it will be realised: "Introduce Bitcoin as a strategic reserve asset. Ban the creation of CBDCs. DONETurn America into the ‘crypto capital of the world’. Use Bitcoin to solve the US government debt problem. Encourage innovation to create the ‘greatest economy in history.’ End the Democrats' illegal crackdown on the crypto industry. Protect the right to mine and self-store cryptocurrency. Biden in short just didn't like crypto at all, the SEC Chairman Gary Gensler also has same political like Biden Administration, back then gary is a teacher that talk about crypto aswell the video is all over the internet but when president say didn't like it then you should comply and that is why sec has lawsuit with ton of crypto companies

https://decrypt.co/244506/donald-trump-bitcoin-crypto-campaign-promisesTrump has rattled off a series of promises for Bitcoin and the crypto industry in a bid to woo prospective voters. DONEAllow citizens to manage their own assets (without government control) Fire Gary Gesler (head of the SEC) if re-elected. DONEEnd the ‘anti-cryptocurrency crusade of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris’. Create a presidential advisory committee to ensure that laws are passed for crypto regulation. New regulations for the crypto industry will start being written by ‘people who love, not hate, the industry.’ Commute the life prison sentence of Silk Road's founder" DONE These promises are actually so much to be made within a short period of time. Trump has promised so much and even if he ends up fulfilling only 50% of his promises, it will be impactful in the industry. Is it not right to include the bitcoin strategic reserve as DONE? I think that has been settled, are we waiting for another thing? I think it's too early to do that, the bill has to pass through the relevant committees and Congress. So far it's just a draft bill.
