I officially welcome back OKX to Nigeria. In a social chat today this evening someone told me that OKX is back and as first I doubted him and he told me I should try it first before doubting. And I downloaded it and login without VPN and everything works. And the only thing you can't do now is the NGN p2p. But you can use it the way your using Binance and Kucoin. OKX was one of best centralized exchanges in Nigeria which I have also used. And I believed that they will start supporting Naira once the terms and conditions are meant. With the return of OKX, things in the crypto space will be better and other exchanges which have removed NGN from their P2P will also bring it back.
OKX left Nigeria because of the government obnoxious policies which was not favourable to them like others. But all the exchanges know that Nigeria is one the key cryptocurrency friendly countries in the ecosystem. So those ones wey don leave go still come back because Nigeria get market for di crypto businesses.

I don't see their coming back as something new any longer because already we have existing platform that are doing well more than them, because their closure was so hard on us and I didn't think there is anything more than that. Even binance is likewise active and you can use it for trading and everything but p2p aren't still permitted so in other words it's as useless to the people because their interest is to exchange NGN through p2p. For now much more priority are given the exchange that are offering p2p since many Nigerians interest is have a safe and reliable place to buy/sell their cryptocurrency.

I no dey sure if OKX done officially announced say them done restore Nigerian P2P and the OP for no rush create this thread until eh dey official and any person go dey right to say na false information eh dey try pass here. I wouldn't consider that as OKX coming back to Nigeria since they have still not allowed the use of Naira P2P, so actually the whole thing was a mistake from them at the beginning by making a very rash decision in disconnecting all Nigerians from using there platform just because of their encounter with the federal government, so I believe they have realized that they should have just allow all Nigerians just like what other exchanges has done by allowing the Nigerians to use their platform even if they have disabled the naira, so perhaps OKX has lost a lot of users from our region that is why they want the Nigerians to come back, though I saw this coming from the onset, however the Nigerian we no will never allow OKX to enable naira P2P, so let's not give ourselves false hope that Nigeria will soon allow us to use their P2P.

one thing you need to know about this crypto space is that there's no best way of doing things that doesn't have a replacement. Binance was a big deal and was the favourite of so many persons in the past, now that the issues of regulation and what have you had shifted users to other exchanges, even if they bring back Naira on thier platform, a lot of persons wouldn't care connng back since they've probably gotten used to alternative exchange that's still functional untill now.

Without OKx And binance, bybit and other exchanges that still allows naira usage on their platforms have served users efficiently and so what's going to be the use of OKX even if it's back when it doesn't have NGN for carrying out p2p transactions?

OKX has not officially returned to Nigeria. I'm sure they will, but at the moment, there's still no official news that they have returned

Before I create this thread, I don download OKX in my device and login and see everything before coming. So if you are saying I am giving you fake information. Please can you also download the app in your mobile phone without VPN and login to see if the information I gave is fake or not.

No official news about it.

After OKX left, you will still be able to access OKX but you will not be able to see your deposit addresses and it will display you what you see in the image below. I downloaded OKX and it is still the same.





If you contact OKX customer care, they left providing crypto products and services to Nigerians is the reason. OKX has not come back.

If you still need to use VPN to access the application, then that’s a sign that they’re yet to return services to Nigeria. I have not seen any other crypto app that is available for Nigerians and needs you to access them through using VPN. What you said about OKX has been circulating around since yesterday in social media and since there’s no official statement from them, then it makes it a null one to me. At this point, if they’re back, it’s for their own good and if they don’t, many alternatives are there to go for asides them.

If they’re to bring back the P2P service on their exchange then they removed before they later left the country, it will be something good and will give them advantage over the other exchanges that are still available to use in the country. If they’re coming back and just offering same service as they’re doing before they left, it won’t bring any much change or cause too much excitement in the country.

Dem know wetin dem dey get as dem dey offer their service for naija and even as the government policy they strict on them now, I know say them go still they gain wella. One of the worst people you can have issues with is the Nigerian government and many exchange dey try avoid our wahala so I no believe this news. When posting news like this try dey put link to your source and no just come dey share wetin you hear for WhatsApp group.

You message can be misleading to newbies therefore no just dey share wetin you never confirm. I wished the news was accurate because OKX was one of the few exchanges that I could've vouch for, for their service.

I didn't hear of any problem from people when they were functional in Nigeria but whether they come back or not, we have moved on and using other services that didn't throw us under the bus when the government wanted to frustrate us. Better they don't come back because they won't get any better share of the market in Nigeria.

OP, you had me there in the first half. I almost thought it was true until I saw you had to use VPN to access the app + the replies here on the thread. As long as their terms and conditions haven't been changed to reflect their new stance on crypto, then their services remain unavailable to us. It's their loss because we're among the top countries with the most volumes across other exchanges.

Moving forward, let's try to always verify news like this. If it's just rumors or speculations, do well to add info too.

For the VPN, I was saying without VPN (typo error). But as for the rest there is no need to argue with you. If any of you  want to know, download it to confirm if the app is working now. After when OKX left the country. The app was not working again. And now the app is working without VPN. And that is the caused of the creation of this thread. Though I didn't check the deposit address. But that is not the reason I created this thread. And the reason is, you can login to OKX in Nigeria. If I didn't made it clear then you can see here.
And the question is, can you login to OKX in Nigeria? Because it was not so after when they have left.

I don’t know why this argument is still being prolonged; you have already been corrected by members above.
 
Since OKX was stopped from offering their P2P service to Nigerians, just like other exchanges like Binance, Kucoin, and others were also restricted, what you can’t use without the help of a VPN is their web service, but for the app, it has always been available without you needing a VPN.
 
All other exchanges that left the Nigeria P2P market's app are actively working, so what difference does it make? If you have an active account on those exchanges, you are still allowed to use them for other types of trade apart from P2P, which is the only side they left, so until they call back P2P, nothing has changed, and you should accept that.
