Musk is a stupid choice for any government position... plus, the department itself seems pointless. The US doesn't need new departments to look at the other departments. Trump didn't need this department the first time and really shouldn't need it this time.

Maybe Trump made a deal with Musk for his election support which gets Musk on the government payroll and (maybe) in a position to do something to help his companies, it's too early to tell what power this type of thing would even have, but the latter would create a huge conflict of interest.

Over 400 Departments are there, way too many.
Most western countries have way too many regulating agencies. That is the reason projects need years to get their show on the road.

Unfortunately, it's obvious that Mr. Elon uses the same marketing techniques that he uses in his companies. He already put a job ad from the brand new account of DOGE in X. So, we can say that this is not a joke. But it's a pretty nice circus and I'm sure that we will see other "shows" like this one in the near future.

Though, I don't have a doubt Elon Musk has a pretty big undisclosed stack of Dogecoin, so he can influence it's price by using his status as a public figure and earn millions of dollars by selling in the right time and buying again when the price falls.
Also, considering the United States has already elected a criminal felon for the seat in the presidency of the country, it would not be much a surprise of Elon Musk decided to give Dogecoin some spotlight in the United States, perhaps by accelerating the creation of some Docegin ETFs, he would not obviously directly talk about Dogecoin, because if he did there could be more chance of him getting accountable for market manipulation.

Anyways... It is relatively normal for Dogecoin and Ripple to rally in the green for now, people have very high expectations on this incoming presidency and administration, let us see if Trump is that much a crypto fan or whether was all a lie for him to get some extra votes.

I wouldn't say stupid to Elon Musk when sitting in government, honestly I'd feel judged if I wasn't up there with him, be it in wealth or even the knowledge and work he's done for the world, so why say stupid if he's still way above you?

For the Department that will be created with the same name as the DOGE crypto meme project, the spotlight will be on the attachment of each other because of Elon Musk, but to see the results we need to see how it performs, the position that Elon Musk got is of course there is an attachment of interest, that's why he worked with Trump for his victory, there is always a small table behind the scenes to make deals for their respective benefits so as to make cooperation.

It has to do with opposing China who is way ahead of us regarding moon stuff. There is great wealth in metals on this side of the moon. Besides, it is a good place to prepare habitats for use on Mars.

All national reserves can not be tied on Bitcoin because I believe you would had cheered if he made mentioned of Bitcoin. Lol.
Elon could be a big Whale holder and a share holder of the Doge Blockchain and he has been one of the topmost richest man in world and so he would tend to maximize the peripherals that would as much expand his wealth.

So I don't think it is worth throwing stones at him for that.
Moreover, the Crypto industry need that global competition so we enthusiasts could always have alternatives for diversification of investment within the Crypto market.

I don't also believe he is on that peak for a selfish interest. Think twice... the stock and centralized economy is crumbling and we are heading up to digital economy which requires initiatives to be achieved. Verily, Elon Musk is more investment wise and entrepreneurly orientated than you can just imagine.

So you can have an overview thought about investors who would also invest on Doge if the industry could rescue highily volatile values also as Bitcoin.

Most have a big overhead in administration. Slash that and you save millions per month 100+ million saving in big companies per year.
Some do well and succeed others fail.

I think it takes much much more than what he's done to land on the moon safely and return with a lot of weight, let alone mars.
