While I was reading news today i saw this and I decided to make a thread about it.
Port Harcourt Refinery has officially commence crude oil processing, this will be a very big impact and development to the country economy challenges, however would only one refinery solve our economic challenges?...if really Government and other stakeholders work on the other refineries believe you me Nigeria will be great again, because cost of living will reduce and the prices of fuel will potentially  reducing as well moreover this development is expected to bring positive growth to our economy system.

My good members of this forum what do you guys think about this?

firstly, this na a very good news to see say the refinery don start to de work at least theoretically based on say we need see evidence before we go conclude say the refinery de fully operational. the positive implication of this news plenty and the most important one be say e go reduce the rate of inflation that we are facing since price of fuel suppose come down when go directly affect the price of other goods.

from the report when come out, this na just the starting point and them don promise to make sure say the remaining two refineries when de for Kaduna and warri also come in full operation and if that comes to pass, e go mean say we get a total of four refineries when go de fully functional be {that is if you add the dangote refinery join am}. that one na legit thing for the country be that though we gat stay calm and see if truly the operation of the port Harcourt refinery na true matters.

Well, NNPC has come out to clarify the air that they are not into full operation yet with the port Harcourt refinery, what they did was just a test run of the blending plant in one aspect of the production plant. I feel the Propaganda wing of the ruling party just went ahead with the news of  the refinery back into full production. Considering how rusty that refinery has been because of years of neglect, trust me it will take a longer period of time before they can successfully do a turn-around maintenance that will start production.
This is like the fifth time they've said the refinery will start operating, but yet there is nothing on ground to show for it, the government should relax the idea of always rushing to the media to make announcement when they haven't done their homework.

That's serious,at times in this country you just need to be faking any information comes from Government because today they will say this tomorrow they will say that which there's no any single fact in their tongue......can you imagine the rice importation that according to information, there is a ban on importation of rice though we don't have enough to feed ourselves. It's even too expensive. Petroleum products are costly; Dangote has it in abundance  yet there is no ban on its importation.
WHO DESIGNED THIS TEMPLATE?
Or is it me that's not updated?

Don't rejoice yet because politicians have a way of using words to deceive the poor masses of the country because this may be politics that is going on until I see that they have produced Petro, diesel and kerosene and release it into the market that's when I will believe but for now I don't personally believe that those stories are true.
If this refinary and the other two remaining refineries are fixed and properly utilized it will go a long way in solving the harsh economic situation we have due to the removal fuel subsidy
