I feel sorry with what you've experienced when it comes to gambling, and it came to a point where you need to create a thread like this to express what's happening to you. Hope you're still ok.

First of all, Satoshi doesn't care about gambling addiction, and Satoshi will not do anything about it. Satoshi might've created Bitcoin, but that doesn't mean that he/she/they are responsible on gambling addiction just because most are using Bitcoin as a currency. Second, you're experience with gambling isn't the same for some. There might be some who succumbed into gambling addiction, but there are some who overcame it, and now became a better person. I might agree with you though that gambling addiction is way worse than drug addiction, but it depends on the mindset of the person before doing it.

Again, I feel sorry for you because your financial situation has been ruined by gambling, but isn't it you that decided whether you gamble or not? Did gambling hypnotized you so that you gamble? No, they didn't. You decided to gamble despite the risks that you may face and here's the consequences. You're deeply in debt right now? Stop gambling and focus on paying your debt. If you can't control yourself, don't gamble at all.

One should not blame gambling when they fail to control themselves and cannot apply responsible attitude when gambling until various bad impacts occur, it is all the fault of the individual and gambling is just place that operates to do business, if you do not make various mistakes then you will not experience financial problems or even get into debt just because you are addicted to gambling.

i find it funny how this post was, at first,  a cry out, to bring awarness becuse of RL situation someone experenced. It was intended to be a lession and a Warning to others who may be, or may be unassumingly thinking about, experincing A simmilar path into the addiction of gambling(Original poster, please correct me if im wrong). I for one am greatfull for the information and full hartedly thank you for the insite. Now to the funny part, which is, defending and glorifying a addiction, i find it funny, tthe olny reason that is happening on this post, is, becuse there is a personal invested intrest in profiting or"gaining" from the addiction in question. Each person who is defending gambling (and/or attacking the addict) is a memeber, owner and/or/also has a vested intrest in a gambling platform, its not hard to see, whatsoever. .  

That being said, in my opinion, not one of those people, would i trust or share any kind of information with, as their integrity is little to nill, proven by posting over this addicts soulful confession and warning to a younger experiencer.

It seems like you have a serious problem with gambling, but the problem that occurs to you with gambling is also due to your own actions that are done too much. Gambling is not entirely wrong because they only provide not force players or other people outside to do it excessively, now I who gamble healthily there are no problems that occur.

Not everyone ends up with massive amounts of debt using credit cards. Sure, some do, but the problem itself is not credit cards, it's the person.

Thanks for the heads-up mate, we have heard horror stories how gambling really ruined their lives and they got REKT. However, there are gamblers who are still in control of it, and we are still playing by this time. So I guess everyone is very different, if you can't control it, then you should very well seek professional help so that you can at least recover from the addiction that you are in right now.

There are ways to get out of it, obviously, you have admitted it and so you're on the right path, and we wish not only financially, but you still have our family besides you that will support you no matter what.

I think the OP is currently frustrated with what has happened to him by blaming gambling and also satoshi as the cause of the his destruction  , every gambler actually knows what risk will happen to them if they have no limits in gambling, but sometimes greed is still greater than their common sense in gambling, so in the end they experience the same thing that the OP feels,  what the OP poured out in this thread made me a little confused and amused ,because he should must blamed himself and not to blame Satoshi for his current downfall, because indeed every decision taken is of course individual and each of us must bear the consequences of our decision.

I think OP's problem is pretty clear, he didn’t stick to "that" basic rule of gambling, and that’s why it became an issue for him. Honestly, this isn’t anything new. Over the years, I’ve seen plenty of similar posts here, with people blaming gambling like it’s some villain out to ruin lives.

I get what he’s going through, it’s tough.... but I can’t agree with his advice to stay away from gambling entirely. Come on, if you love it, you can’t hate it that easily. The real solution is learning how to handle it responsibly, not running away from it.

I understand that you are disappointed or angry for having realized the dangers of gambling addiction so late, but unfortunately you are losing your reason in your speeches now, just as you lost control of gambling some time ago.

Gambling has been around for years and has never been a problem, just as alcohol has been around for millennia and is still not a problem for those who drink socially and know how to control themselves.

It is completely possible to gamble in a healthy way, but for this to happen it is essential that the gambler knows his limits, both psychological and financial and time-wise, so that there is no harm to his life. The person who knows how to make gambling just an activity like any other, without any loss of existential quality, will hardly have problems with it.

But what happens to most gamblers? They think that gambling is a way to make money, they invest money they cannot afford, they spend hours and hours playing... this certainly will not have a good result for 80% or more (I estimate) of people. Gambling only works for a small percentage of people, and if you've already played and haven't identified with it, there's no point in trying to keep trying... it's better to just play as a hobby than to try your luck against the odds.

It is what gamblers must do when gambling. We don't know when we can win but we can lose anytime so when you can use the money you can afford to lose, that is the money you are ready with anything that can happen even if you lose all of that money. You will not have a problem if you lose in gambling because you are limit your money to gamble.

But if you don't want to lose your money, you don't have to gambling and keep that money for your needs or other things. No one will force you to playing gambling so you need to responsible with yourself. Before you want to playing gambling, you must know what is the risk and the consequences that you can get from gambling.

Agree with you it is unethical to blame gambling for what happens to us such as losing a large amount of money, it is purely the fault of the individual himself who does not have a good sense of responsibility with his behavior towards gambling. With Op who seems to blame gambling for the problems that occur I think he responded to gambling wrongly maybe like he thought that victory would be easy to get but he lost control of himself and what happened was his money was lost in large amounts.

I hope @op had learned his lesson in this experience.  Sadly, he blames gambling instead of his shortcomings.  As a gambler myself, before I blame anyone, I first look at what I have done wrong and start by fixing that wrong move I made.  It is understandable to feel rage and frustration but at the end of the day we should let bygone be bygone and move on.  What have been lost is already lost.  If @OP wants to keep away from gambling then so be it but be reasonable in the name of fairness.

OP is just frustrated because of the losses he has suffered from his irresponsible gambling. Satoshi created a currency and the way you use it is your business. He decided to use his crypto for gambling and now his not happy with the outcome. We have more fiat gamblers than those who use crypto, so his anger is misplaced.

Some persons are easily addicted to gambling, alcohol, or drugs because they always lose control. While some gamblers are driven by greed, so they always gamble with huge money and chase losses. If you observe that you cannot fully have control over gambling, it will be better to quit and engage in other forms of entertainment.
