Hey everyone, the market is doing well, and exchanges are seeing a lot of liquidity at the moment. This means their ecosystems and tokens are thriving. I’m looking to increase my holdings in exchange tokens, planning to hold them for a year. What are your suggestions, and what are your reasons?

You can look for the tokens on individual exchanges that have the tokens like Binance, Bitget, Mexc and the likes. But I think the price of these coins are up already which may not be a good time to buy. I may be wrong. if the bull market continues, probably they might increase but it would be good to DCA.

Also I prefer bitcoin than all these altcoins.

Is there any reason why you want to hold for a year or so? If you're holding for the sake of it, I'd also suggest buying more Bitcoin instead. Exchange tokens are similar to alts imo, I don't necessarily think the abundant liquidity for them is an indicator that they'll last for a year without any issues at all. It's easy for an exchange token to fall whenever they get hacked, especially when they're quite new to the market.

Hate to say this, but you just fell into OP's trap. There's a certain exchange he has been trying to shill all his time here if you look at his post history. He has been resorted to sneaky ways such as screenshots and random stupid questions to avoid getting caught, but I have been following his account. He probably has a couple more alts doing the same.

Unless there is activity on their blockchain it is difficult to verify the accuracy of liquidity within the platform and the days shown on services like CMC for trading volumes may be inflated or exaggerated.

If I were you I would prefer Bitcoin but look for exchange tokens with active trading volumes on their blockchains.

Now’s not the time to hold if we’re talking about tokens, whether its from exchange or not. The market is already bullish, so the smart move is to play it wisely, sell at the right time. If you’re thinking about accumulating and holding in an exchange, it might be better to wait for a heavy market correction. That’s usually the trend after a massive bull run. Timing is everything right now, so focus on taking profits while the momentum is high, and prepare for opportunities when the market cools down.

Remember when BNB was around $20 couple years ago?. Now it's around $620 if im not mistaken. I hold some already which I use to participate in launchpools..but I think since we're not yet in the thick of the bull run.. I'll leverage the opportunity to get more

Honestly, when it comes to token exchange, I don't see any token with more potential than Binance's BNB token. But since prices are no longer low, giving investment advice at this point is not a wise idea so I won't give specific advice. Additionally, Binance's market share is slowly declining and BSC is also showing signs of weakening compared to other blockchains since CZ got involved in lawsuits with the United States. It is difficult to predict what CZ will do to revive BSC, so investing in BSC is no longer as ideal as before. So, it is better to do your own research and make your own decision.

I am big fan if binance. I have used binance for exchanging coins to local currency. There are many investment options available in binance. Many new exchanges are coming into market nowadays but binance is the king. I hope bnb coin will give you decent returns in future.

I see no wrong here because as far as I know, observation isn't a crime and logfiles only said so based on his observations of your subtle shilling of Bitget exchange token. You're not wrong also for shilling your bags, I know I'd do the same too but it because a problem when you do it too much — for instance, most of your discussions here are centered around topics and replies about Bitget.

Btw, you guys asking about exchange tokens should also consider HyperLiquid. It's considered to be the "onchain binance" and worth checking out and no, it's not a CEX and I'm not affiliated with the team.

I remember those years when BNB was at that price range and that's fairly cheap. But then, I was on that time in accumulation of Bitcoin and I'm still fine that I didn't used my BTC in exchange for BNB. Despite that people would look at the ROI percentage of these tokens, they'd say that they've done better and more against BTC but that's not a problem. Anyway, I have some idea of what you're talking about this exchange token and good luck if you are able to accumulate a lot of it.

BNB got the benefit of EVM based chain boom back then, people are hunting for Ethereum alternative because Ethereum's fee was embarrasingly high and even swapping requires $500++ so BNB appear to give alternative and they successfully leverage on the situation and make their chain known by many which in turn give rally toward BNB because the coin heavily utilized in the blockchain, don't know if same formula can repeat for other exchange based coin but if you really want to find any "possible" replica of BNB success be sure to find exchange coin that have their own chain and utility. though I'm pretty pessimistic they'd succeed.

maybe the one that's closer to BNB in term of utility is BGB though it lacks its own blockchain as far as I know but its main use case is just for launchpool staking.

Not a suggestion, but I think you should take a look at Cronos (CRO) & LCX (LCX), especially for LCX (LCX), lately this token has been the main discussion because since a month ago it has increased in price by more than 200%. Apart from the two tokens I mentioned, I think that all of them already have big names with large capitalizations so it is difficult to get a multiple of the investment that will be made, such as BNB (BNB).

How about DEX token? like UNI which also proposes to have their own L2 coming in the future.

it does resemble BNB a lot isn't it? I think they have pretty good potential granted UNI has existed for long and FDV is quite big but I think they can still climb even more.

on the other hand, HYPE also exist, don't know if centralized exchange token are still that relevant, often time their utility doesn't justify their valuation, MX, KCS and so on just feel underwhelming.
most of exchange token nowadays except BNB feels like they just need to exist for no reason at all, so sometime it's hard to invest in them.

maybe in the future narrative will shift to DEX, but if it's exchange token, i'd stick with BNB, because even with recent bullrun the price hasn't going up significantly, seems like there's still a lot of potential.

That's true. Having a separate blockchain exposes the coin to more utilities. But frankly with the utilities on BNB, I'd have thought the token would be at least $1k by now. Maybe CZ prison issues could be a reason. For BGB when I read their white paper it made mention of having their own block chain sometimes in the future so we could see that. They're other major use cases asides staking..

As a trader, I myself love to try out new exchanges, but when someone comes out of nowhere or a farm of shill accounts come around and start to shill about a certain exchange for pay, then we start to smell a rat.

Be logical..that's less than 50%> and definitely if you use an exchange more. It's normal to talk about it.. This is a public forum and last I checked, no one has been deceived or cajoled by my posts & replies..I post suggestions and personal experiences backed with SS & proofs when needed. So enough with the hostility yah. It's boring.
