Registered and played for a bit today. Players are loose as a goose on the tables no matter the stakes. I'm watching people jam 500bb preflop with 10 6 off and get called by J10 off for the full amount.

As far as the poker itsself, it seems to be ok so far minus I cannot get a good enough hand to call with when they're playing silly. I cannot seem to find info on the jackpots or the lucky drop. I assume the jackpots are bad beat jackpots, what does it take to hit them? And what is the lucky drop?

I'll look around a bit more tomorrow and see if I can find the answers to my questions, but I think I have already looked everywhere.

Sorry, there has to be some barrier to entry other than buy-in. That is why I suggested keeping it exclusive to members with at least 5 earned merits. What's stopping anyone for paying buy-in for 2-3 accounts? And playing with triple the stack and 6 cards? Do not emphasize on quantity (especially in the early stages) over quality. I can give numerous examples of poker platforms, starting with massive freerolls and finding it hard to sustain. There should be zero tolerance for cheating, and we have to curb every possibility while we can.

That's true... and I agree, it's excessive & unusual. Maybe they will rethink it and change it one day...

I think that point 1-2 is understood, since there are players in bcpoker who do not make a life in the forum, so zero idea about our tournament.
Then, and/or in any case in the description of the tournament it would be "recommended" to leave something clear as: ' exclusive for players of the bitcointalk.org forum,' that, "perhaps" would avoid having some "unwanted" players, but if it happens we surely enter point 2, indicated in the quote.

The player pool currently is quite small, there are 4-8 tables running at a time and most of them are micro players. I don't think a ton of them would join the game, I could be wrong.

If 5 are left in the tourney and only 1 is a person from the forum that person is going to get top spot for points is the way I understand it, so should be fine IMO.

The thing is, did you register with their US version or the regular one? If you used the US version and see poker I don't see any reason why you shouldn't be allowed to play.
If you used the normal version though I would strongly advise you to contact customer support to get it migrated to the US site because verification might not work for you.

It is better to ask their customer support directly. Things move quite slowly here . The OP has posted so many times in between just for ranking and SEO purposes but doesn't care to answer specific queries. The person in charge who is handling the supposed event seems to be busy with other things (important things). I know organizing events takes time, but honestly, this pace is really slow.

I don't see any reason to rush. I think you just don't fully understand how many people are involved in different workflows and how much effort needs to be made to make these workflows work smoothly in the future. We need to discuss all the details, test (in this particular case, I'm testing what the whitelist looks like .. since users outside the whitelist will not see tournaments in the lobby).

+ I'm discussing the conditions under which any forum member will be able to receive tickets to any tournaments in the future by simply posting a screenshot of their good winning hand here. Creating some designs for another forum and much more.

Testing the freeroll, creating a mailing list of those I wanted to invite to the test freeroll and much more ... if you want to help, send me a list of BC IDs of these users (Bitcointalk name, ID).

I know, and that was exactly my perspective and tone. You are too busy of a person. I was referring to the answer to a single query (which you missed again addressing in your post). Although it should not take one week for addressing the query from multiple members many times.
You have explained too much, and I respect that. Everyone know how busy you are but my point is still valid though. I mean, you took minutes after reading my posts (I have not even quoted you unnecessarily as I already know you are a busy man) to come with a response (somehow emotional).

No. Even though BC Poker and BC are under the same roof, they are independent teams (as far as I can tell), and I have been asking BC for a long time to give me a BCPoker contact so that I could offer my ideas. Everything I do for them, I do on my own initiative and because I love poker (a lot).

I mean it is a yes or no question and it is not that platform is taking time to develop the policy regarding that and it is taking time.

I can't speak for tech support, as I'm not in their chats etc. And I don't use BC US so I can't know for sure.

One trusted user who asked about this received personal assurances from me that everything would be fine with him. But I can't vouch for every new user.

I can say one thing, I've been using VPN for 3 years and BC doesn't know my username and all this time I was able to withdraw funds without KYC and play using VPN (although today I gave my ID to a BC Poker member for the first time to get a ticket to a freeroll).

This whole conversation boils down to the fact that from my answer you can easily determine whether a legitimate player can use VPN or not.

BC doesnt allow USA correct? I think i asked that once l, but maybe i didn't.

Also $45 buyin for $500 prize pool? Paying 3 spots likely? Seems expensive 45$ for 5x assuming 1st would get $250.
