I think what our senior Abiky said is factual, and it will happen. Don't participate in investments that use the name of LTC, like the mining platforms scattered across various websites and Telegram channels. They only want our money, regardless of whether you lose a large amount or just $100.

Yes, LTC is a coin that hasn't seen significant growth yet, either in terms of its ATH or price movement. When it reaches the point Abiky discussed, everyone will rush to buy because it already has real functionality. Yes, the shift will happen when it comes, and let's set aside some time for that.
LTC was quite popular in the past when people needed fast and cheaper transactions. It was soon overtaken by lightening network and various other coins so the main functionality of LTC was questionable which might have kept the growth stagnant. Even now, there is only some minor growth when it comes to LTC even in a bullish trend and that is because not everyone looks towards LTC as a store of value anymore. LTC is one of the oldest blockchain and I really used to love transacting using LTC because it was lightening fast.

But now, I personally will use some other options which are cheaper than LTC specially for transferring from one wallet to another. Also these options are much faster for me. LTC might take a few minutes for 6 network confirmations but these other coins like BNB, Tron, etc will just take a couple of seconds before I see the confirmation on network.

What's your opinion on LTC as a long-term investment? I don't have an insane amount of LTC (around 18 ltc) so I thought I should just keep it since putting it into something like BTC wouldn't give me that big of a return, although it would be a bit less risky.

I think your decision is absolutely right. Now a days LTC can mine by some crypto miners machine. It’s circulation supply is 76.5M and total supply is 84M and present market cap is 7.1B. Last 6/7 months all coin are so volatile but the LTC are stable. If the market cap goes to 50-70B then the price will be $600-700. It’s my personal opinion. Do your own research.

At least it has principles and tech to back it up, LTC is truly a good pick for hodling, too think this way Wink

Yes LTC was very popular at one time and people mostly use it because of its very low transaction fees. But other chains and some other coins have set their position in the market in such a way that people are slowly forgetting about LTC. And the price of LTC is not doing well in the market. And LTC is far below its ATH price. It needs to pump 5x to surpass its ATH. LTC is in a very bad condition compared to other top coins now. And with the progress they are making, it may lose its popularity even more in the future. If they cannot make a comeback using some new strategy quickly

^ I wouldn't say they need a new strat.. It's either that or other coins should fail people in what they use them, which is unlikely to happen, imo.

Although LTC hasn't made many breakthroughs in its ecosystem, as an old coin, it still exists and has earned the trust of its investors. So while its growth has been slow, its market strength has consistently maintained its place in the top 50 of the CMC. Therefore I have no objection to including LTC on the list of assets worth investing in, compared to other less than stellar projects in the current era.

Litecoin (LTC) was one of the pioneer and popular cryptocurrencies after Bitcoin was created. It even came before Ethereum actually.  Despite being quiet and lacking recent innovations, shouldn't be underestimated.

Its long history, established network, and brand recognition could work in its favor during a major altcoin rally. Sometimes the most unexpected coins make surprising moves during
bull markets, especially those with solid foundations like Litecoin. It's worth keeping an eye on, as the crypto market can be full of surprises.

I think all the coins during the rally go up, the difference is only how much.. It's not like LTC shines brighter for people on media and such, unlike SOL and ETH or just memes.. LTC does its work quietly.

Well, investors aren't that much into old altcoins these days. They're usually following the hype by choosing new alts with shiny-new features. As for Litecoin, the only innovation I can think of is the integration of the "Mimblewimble" privacy protocol. Other than that, everything else is the same as Bitcoin (except for a few changes like max supply, block time, and block rewards). It's undervalued, considering that it's "Silver to Bitcoin's Gold".

I guess the "big event" will be the approval of Litecoin spot ETFs by the SEC. It's the only way LTC will be able to reach higher prices in the long run. I'm sure institutional demand will remain high for an extended period of time. I would buy more LTC while prices are still low. Who knows what surprises we'll find in the future?

Not all coins did good for this rally. Many of them did but it's not that all of them have made good performance for this year.

LTC works quietly but it seems that being an investment, it's no longer the most effective and best choice.

While with the feature that it has for the users of it, that's what people can lean on it aside from being an investment.

Surely, I can advise on investing on Litecoin, because this coin has a future utility and also is part of the coins I respected so much, so I wouldn't mind investing now that the market is falling and hold till it surges before selling, definitely Bitcoin has caused a number of these coins to go downtrend, for a long time opportunity, we can strongly consider it and invest.

18Ltc if we sell according to the current price which is worth $ 82 then we will only get USDT worth $ 1,474 and if we exchange it for bitcoin which is currently worth $ 83k then we will only get around 0.017BTC more than that with that amount if we invest in bitcoin maybe the profit given by bitcoin is not too big when compared to later LTC will return to touch the previous ATH price in 2021 which is in the area of $ 413 so your portfolio will be worth around $ 7,434, but considering that Litcoin is an obsolete coin it might take a little longer to return to its ATH price.

That's bullshit. Even Charlie Lie as the litecoin created regret his move to create a litecoin instead of stacking so much BTC, then sitting on it anonymously. FYI the development of litecoin is also being stopped, and expecting a utility from litecoin is just hoping a dream that will never come true.

LTC is a good, time-tested, and proven coin, which functions effectively and is well reputed, but it is not the leader of the market like BTC. Being a long-term investment, it is a solid but not high-growth investment.

Since you have just 18 LTC to keep, it is not a bad thing to keep it, as it will not ruin or destroy your portfolio. No need to have LTC outcompete Bitcoin in the long run. Provided that you are willing to take fewer risks and a more gradual growth, then BTC is a safer option, though having a little LTC is okay.

I agree with this, LTC may not be some hyped coin that is super high in price or rankings, but it is a tested and proven coin that you can trust, there aren't that many projects you can trust in the crypto world. And while I agree that Charlie has a say in it, it's inheritably decentralized as well, meaning if we just don't do what he says, then we can, there is no central power, and nobody can change it anytime they wish, like they do with fiat or centralized coins.

This is why investing into LTC long term is a great idea, you can put that in your portfolio, do not make it only one, but if you already have some then not selling it and keeping it as your investment is not a bad idea at all, could definitely profit.

Personally, I've been quietly accumulating LTC since 2020. Even though I regret not having sold any (since it's been sleeping for years), I'm sure it will eventually break out one day.. and when (if) it does....  Grin

It's a good thing Charlie Lee decided to distance himself from the Litecoin project. Otherwise, investors would make their decisions based on Mr. Lee's actions. Sort of like what is happening right now with Ethereum. Vitalik Buterin has too much influence on the ETH project. If (God forbid) something bad happens to him, most investors would panic sell ETH.

The thing about Litecoin is that not only it adheres to the principles of decentralization and censorship-resistance, but it's also fast and cheap to use. Being one of the oldest altcoins ever created, brings that level of trust/confidence investors are looking for in a project. I believe LTC is a hidden gem waiting to blossom someday. Silver's market price used to be "stagnant", only to experience a surge close to $50 after persistent geopolitical tensions and the shut down of the US government. Who's to say the same won't happen to LTC? After all, it's "Silver to Bitcoin's Gold". I'd buy and "hodl" LTC for the long haul.

Litecoin remains a potentially good long-term investment, but I believe that one has to remain realistic. LTC is proven, quick trading, and a faithful community, yet its development is no longer as impressive in comparison with newer projects and Bitcoin itself. It may be a good idea to invest in a market in down turn, but the boom is not going to be as huge as it was before. In case a person prefers a more safe altcoin that will stand still in the long-run LTC is that one, but do not expect LTC to do better than BTC in the long-term. One should diversify and maintain expectations at par.

The price of LTC hasn't moved significantly. Currently, the mining rate for LTC is 4.5 PH/s, which is quite emotional. Because every high mining rate always has a positive connotation, namely, a stronger, more secure, and faster network.

And the supply is only 84 million, and that's a significant figure. In my opinion, 2025 will be a decisive year; if they succeed, they will be successful; otherwise, their position will be the same as in previous years. They have nine more months to show the world that they are still superior as the demand for privacy coins continues to rise.
