A bitcoin neighborhood. This is seriously cool. Seems to be an actual local economy using BTC!

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

TBH, I can get lost in the forums. Apologies if this is a repeat post but thought the video was very interesting.

There is a group of us here in the UK, Brighton. We mainly pay IOU's amongst ourselves in BTC/LTC and I'm keen to try start our own community here too.

One of us is currently over in Berlin atm; I'm going to see if I can get him to pop by and see this...

No harm done, the link I posted actually points to the announcement of the Bitcoin Kiez.

Generally we have an Press board for Articles: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=77.0

Put stuff like this there, but don't forget to add a correct formated Date, or you will feel the wrath of kiba.

All previous versions of currency will no longer be supported as of this update

yea us community folk new about the berlin thing for a while now. but for a national news media to make a proper story about iit for millions of non-community folk to see and realise bitcoin is not just for SR or investors is.......

BIG

nice quote too at about 7 minutes into the video

"i would look at these spikes and corrections as the birthpains of a new system"

I DO NOT TRADE OR ACT AS ESCROW ON THIS FORUM EVER.
Please do your own research & respect what is written here as both opinion & information gleaned from experience. many people replying with insults but no on-topic content substance, automatically are 'facepalmed' and yawned at

Cool, noted, I use exactly the same date system with most of my filing systems.

It's nice to see big national media pieces like this on the general discussion board. I don't have time to check all the boards for interesting things, so #2, thanks for posting here  Smiley
