The best way isn’t predetermined for us gamblers, we just sense it when we’re winning. We only confirm it was a good day if we stop while we’re ahead and take our profit.

Well, I adhere to a different principle of control. The game stops when either I win the amount that I have determined for myself in advance, or the entire bankroll that was allocated in advance for this is lost. And this plan does not depend on time. If this happens quickly (winning a certain amount), then I stop the game, well, if I lose, then it is already clear that there is no more money.

Very well true mate, some of other major challenges that gamblers faces lately that have lead them to severe situations is the inability to stop regardless of which direction you are headed as a gambler, such that regardless if you are winning or losing there should be a point where and when to stop this way, you achieve two things which are:

1: take profits,this way you walk away ahead of the house, this can be said to be the good days,

2: or you take loses but at a minimal rate based on the stop time limit set.

This reminds me of when I was very active in gambling. My confidence will grow and I will feel like to gamble more when I am winning. I researched about it that time and even researches confirmed it that people have this behavior because of the money they are making at the time. Gambling takes discipline which should be what we need to make sure that we do not let profit makes us reckless why gambling. I prefer little profit and little losses than to become reckless and gamble in a way that my day will become bad with huge losses.

Budget limits will usually be the choice of many gamblers. Those who play at casinos or sports betting can use them. However, any limits used by gamblers and can be done consistently will make gamblers disciplined in their gambling activities. May not be able to prevent gamblers from addiction completely, but at least there is an effort to minimize greater risks.

Still boils down to control, I know, it's going to be very difficult but majority of gamblers might have a different mindset as everyone is different. You might think that you are being so lucky and so you will continue and extend and play and maybe you are right and could win more.

On the other hand, things can make a U-turn, and it's going to be very fast as it might be too late before you realized that you are no longer that lucky and that you might have lost everything. So it's going down as to how you really control and your discipline to quit when you still have the money and winnings.

Thats true. Most gamblers win already but cant control themselves when it comes to betting as if they still wwnt more even though they already win some profits already. Being greedy to more wins is likely will lead to more losses instead. In gambling the one with self disciplined win and might continue to earn if he is willimg to stop at some point.

In theory it's easy to do this but in reality its quite the opposite, So here's what usually happen to us when we are gambling..  We already have the sets of strategy that we believe will make us better either to increase the win or minimize the risk of losing, but in the actual practice, sometimes our emotion would dictate our mind, and though we might say we will try to learn from our mistake, sometimes before we finally learned we need to experience many upsets.. I could relate to this as it also happened to me that's why I could give advises base on my experience.

This time limit can only be useful and helpful when a gambler is winning because most times when we are winning, we tend to be more stable and that helps you make a better decision different from when you are in losses. During losses, you lose focus and get irrational in taking gambling appropriate decision because we are chasing back the loses. I do agree with that. For me though it's different.

I deposit only the minimum required in our local online casino here. 100 pesos or $2 only. Once I deplete that then I am gone. In the past, the hard part to let go was when I saw that the free spin was almost coming, well I thought but I was wrong. I deposited more just to lose more and I learned from that lesson.
When it comes to winning that's where our time will be longer on gambling because our greed can take over thinking lady luck is on our side but that is also wrong. Whenever I hit the x3 of my deposited amount I get out. Don't seek for a winning spree because that is rare.

as easy as we know that exiting at the time when we are doing well in our games is necessary, the kind of emotion that plays out at that moment is not one that is easy and often time, every win makes it look like you have the potential of winning even more in your next bet. it is just like those that are holding some coin and they are in a good profit, its easy to talk about taking profit when you have not invested but once you have invested, it will appear as though by holding it a bit longer, you can make more profit and then you keep doing it until you eventually discover that you have had a huge loss in the end.

I always use(and recommend it to everybody) two limits: time limit and money limit. When i reach one of them - i stop the game and it doesn`t matter what limit i reached and what result i had. Of course it is true for common gambler, who is gambling for fun.
When i`m playing for profit - i have some other rules, but it is too personal to share. The professional gamblers have their own rules i think.

I have decided on a strategy to control my limits in gambling and it has been working perfectly, I've shared it on this gambling discussion board anytime that a related topic comes up. It is very simple, I make a budget for gambling, I never exceed the bankroll whether I'm winning or losing, when the fund exhausts I simply quit for the day. This way I don't have to over gamble because I'm winning or start to chase loses because I'm losing, my bankroll for the day is what I focus on. If a gambler is disciplined to gamble on budgeted amount and never exceeds it, there's no way that he cam become addicted to gambling, furthermore the amount has to be what you can afford to loose.

Earlier I thought that the time limit count tool is only helpful to winning in gambling since with the tool application when winning, it makes you walk away with the winning already recorded but on a second thought and with long term experience in gambling control, since the results are unpredictable we also have to focus on limited loses also, since gambling is more of losing than winning in most cases, let say if a gambler loses $1000 while not using the tool.

But when limit count applicable the loses get reduced by %60- %70 instead of the $1000 loses through emotions you lose $300 and get to save the remaining $700 for the next days.,You see why the limit counts helps in both losing trends and also winning trends.

I do not have a time limit. I play when I want to until I want to or until I am tired of it and want to do something else with my life already. But my one rule is that if I find myself losing consecutively, I need to stop. Even if I still have some deposited money in to the casino I can use to continue gambling, I need to give myself time to recover and regroup. I can't keep playing with frustrated feelings and an intense desire to win and recover the money I have lost and I can say that it does help. It may be a bit difficult for others to stop themselves on their own volition but if you try to do it regularly it will come easier for you.
