Expecting victory is not a worthy excuse to not want to accept defeat when it comes, i mean, there is never a person gambling, or going for a fight for example, who goes expecting to be defeated (minus rigged battles like we mostly see in wresting), every one including the weak goes with the expecting of winning, but if eventually they lost, they have no choice but to accept it, go home and prepare themselves better for their next battle.

Same also with gambling or even sports betting, no one places bets or gamble with the expectation of losing all of their money, even though it is commonly advised that we always prepare for such just incase it happens, and when it does happen, one can't kill him or herself, and you can't hold the casino to give your money back, accept it and move on, prepare and try again next time, maybe one get better luck 🤞.

The financial condition factor is the only thing that differentiates a person's situation after they are involved in gambling, as you said that rich people may still be fine even though they lose and that makes sense considering that rich people usually have many sources of income, the point is even though rich people lose they will most likely still be able to finance their living needs, but for poor people, yes in some cases they usually can't even afford to buy their daily food needs, but actually for this problem it also depends on how they approach gambling, because actually regardless of whether they are rich or poor, if for example they have an aggressive approach then the impact will definitely be very serious.

There is the reason for everything and what should be done, that is why my strategy so far has seemed to me the most efficient of all and that is that before going to the casino or sitting down to play I think and determine how much money I am willing to risk or lose and this helps to meet the objectives, win or lose from there I cannot go over the money, generally when you lose you have to have the willpower not to risk more, the only weakness of this strategy is not having discipline, but everything is having that discipline.
