The two are very important although the most vital and more important is the luck factor because even when a gambler have the knowledge that will cover his prediction or take on any gambling game the fact that luck is still needed is there because everything actually reside or revolves around luck, I mean a gambler can be 100% sure on a certain game based on stats he gather on that game but an inplay factor that was uncalled for can influence the total results or outcome of that game.
