They say the economy is bad, but where's all the money going? Which industries are still making money?

My answer is that the industry that keeps going is the pharmaceutical industry. You will not find this industry going bankrupt anywhere, even in a fairly underdeveloped country. When you open a drug store, you will always make a profit. When there is a financial crisis, an epidemic, a natural disaster, etc., you still find money flowing in there.

Yes, that's right. In any condition, no matter how bad the world economy is, the pharmaceutical industry is still profitable. Even in the midst of a disaster, this industry can still profit as you said, the most obvious example is during the pandemic a few years ago and even during war, money in this industry will still flow in.

So it's no wonder that in my country, parents always send their children to school in the fields of pharmacy, medicine, and health. That's true here too, medical degree does make a good amount of income, not at first of course, like an intern doesn't really make that much, most of them make less than even I do, so it is not really a big deal at the very first stage of their career. But the growth is exponential, it becomes more and more, to a point where they are wealthy beyond dreams. How that works? Well intern doesn't make much, they just get hired by hospitals, and get paid peanuts. Then they grow, get some experience, and they get titles, like professor or whatever comes before that, phd?

Whatever really, they get that, and then they become big in that hospital, and start to make more money, then they end up becoming professor, which means they make even more, at that point they are wealthy already, and then they could open up their own place... and oh boy after that? A professor with their own place? Not like hospital, I mean like just private place, dude they make MILLIONS!

The economy is crashing everyday and it's affecting everything in the country. Companies are laying off staffs and they aren't hiring new ones makeing the unemployment rate to be high and the crime rate to increases. While the economy is bad it doesn't mean there aren't some private and public companies making money, it's during this period that more money can even be made as people providing services are still killing it.

Cryptocurrency is still making a high volume of daily transactions and government reserves are focusing on Cryptocurrency most especially bitcoin, Gold and real estate is also thriving in high inflows of investors.

Money is moving into the crypto industry and wait patience, we can become a part of those enjoying the shift of wealth. More millionaires are being made in the industry and this doesn't have to do with only Bitcoin but other sectors of the industry. The question is not which industries are still making money, but which industries currently have the potential to make better money? Countries with strong leadership and bold decisions have always good in long run while in which country I am living things are on average with have not good potential for changes because poor leadership and corrupt system eating all things, but we have huge revolutionary changes in Far East Asia countries because they were able to bring themselves as productive.

While if we have big companies which are able to do things surely give huge boost and also bring good changes with all industries and fields are having enough money to deliver and improve lifestyles of peoples but still we need role of law and supportive things because without them it's never been easy to cut problems in any country, and they are able to have chance of improvement.

Yeah a lot of industry are making huge money, though I would exclude church on the list because they are not a business of making money even if the mind of some persons work otherwise, is actually just a place of worship whereas people go to communicate with God irrespective of any condition they are, so if perhaps church is a business then it could be one of the largest physical money making business because people do not only worship on Saturdays and Sundays but also on weekly basis and that's how offering is taking place. However car dealers is also a money business, I also see hospitality business as a good business based on the daily generation of income, I still have more but let me go with this.

to be honest money just circulating around the big business, it's always this one large corporation investing to small company or startup and then the startup bring profit to large corporation, the industry that's profiting big from it is the new industry like AI, everyone working on AI are racking big salary right now easily half million a year and that's pretty crazy to me.

Every effort is made by humans to improve their financial level to be better and previously we saw the stock market so dominant for people involved in it but over time crypto provides opportunities for anyone and is not even limited to people who have a lot of money. Crypto is growing so fast and technological support cannot be ignored because it makes it much easier for many people to access it using smartphones.

More flexibility and efficiency in working is the hope of many people because if the available convenience cannot be utilized properly then we need to ask ourselves. You need to understand that a country wouldn't have a great economy only by collecting taxes, they will have to do more than that. The economy of a country depends on how things are managed by the government.
